Not sure if this is something you guys can do, or if it would require an act by the ProBoards developers: At the bottom of the Home Page where it shows the "stats" for the board it lists the people currently on line and it lists it something like "2 Staff, 53 Members, 107 Guests" .... and then it lists all the names for the registered members on line. Is there anyway that the names of Staff on line could be separated out from the other members? Sometimes you have an issue arise and need or want to contact an on-line staff member. Unless you just know who is and isn't staff, it's tough to know who to contact. Anyway, that's my helpful suggestion. I shall anxiously await my cookie. STAFF EDIT: Done (kind of)! We don't have a way to separate out the names of staff, but we have made them a different color. Staff names are now highlighted in red to make them easier to spot. In the meantime, you can click Members in the top menu, and then select View Staff instead of View All in the dropdown menu and sort by Group/Rank. This list will show you the Admin and Moderators who are online.

I wish there was a way to limit the size of people's sigs. Not just the picture size; but file size. But I know they are just links to files hosted elsewhere. When on mobile with 3G, any thread with a lot of posts by President Dude or people with his sigs take forever to load. Sometimes longer than the threads in the screen shot groups. STAFF EDIT: You can, on an individual basis, choose not to display signatures. Go to Edit Profile > Settings and set "Show Signatures" to No.

How about having a Frying Dutchman Award if people post a screenshot of as many characters as they can get at that building for the task. Edit: I guess I should have said all of the thumbs up when the task is completed. STAFF EDIT: We are too late for this one, but this is a good suggestion for Pics & Recreation for future tasks requiring the whole town. This suggestion has been sent to Pics & Recreation.

Two suggestions related to organization: - Instead of dedicated threads to national/international news, an "All the
News That's Fit to Browse" thread to cover all of them. When one-off threads pop up, they can be merged into that umbrella thread (either right away or later, as suits the staff) - An Arts & Entertainment sub-board within The Couch (not a members-only group), where threads like "What Are You Listening To?" and discussions of TV/movies could go, and where we could have more genre- or author-/artist-specific threads without cluttering up all of The Couch
STAFF EDIT: Done (kind of)! Thank you for the great suggestion! See the Channel 6 sub-board for discussion of News, TV and Movies.

Hello Marge! Can I suggest that I get a badge for this post? I've been clandestinely suggesting some smileys around the message board, but I thought I'd actually suggest some now. :kitty: :doggy: I was going to suggest +1 and , but I see those already exist! And when I first showed up, there was a smiley maggiefallsmall . It soon disappeared, possibly because I foolishly put it in my signature. I liked that smiley. It showed Maggie stumbling and was well-animated. It'd be great to have that back if there wasn't more reason to get rid of it. STAFF EDIT: There is a limited number of spaces for emoticons, and we are at that limit. Until we get a new smiley system in place, there will be very few edits.

I think this may be beyond your control, but when I get a notification as I am using ios it's easy to miss the button that takes you straight to the page. Is it possible to make that bigger?
STAFF EDIT: Sorry, that is part of the built-in forum structure and is out of our control.
If you are on a tablet, you can zoom in and make the button appear larger. Your normal view will resume once the page loads after tapping the button.

Can you make so there are no apples in the vending machine please?
But in all seriousness, I've noticed recently that you don't always receive a notification when you have a new message, is there any way to fix that?
STAFF EDIT: That happens sometimes, and then it is fixed, and then it might happen again once or twice, and then get fixed... but in the end it is out of our control. Sorry!

Can you make so it show's how many times
You edit a post
STAFF EDIT: No. Even if we could do it, I don't think it would be a very popular feature.

I would like to see a 'I dislike this post even though I really like you' button as I sometimes feel guilty for liking a post that's sad *crosses fingers* please god, say I posted in the right place this time STAFF EDIT: This is a nice idea, if not abused. I haven't found a plugin to make it work yet, but will keep it on the wishlist.

I'd like to see an entry for Spotify on the social websites part of the user profiles. There are a lot of us here that use it and it would be an easy way of adding each other.
STAFF EDIT: We don't have any control over the pre-defined options in the Social area of your profile. We can add a custom field, but I suggest a thread dedicated to finding Spotify friends would get more exposure.

I've always been fond of this facepalm smiley: Ah, who am I kidding, I'm just trying to steal LSLeong's thunder. Revenge. STAFF EDIT: There is a limited number of spaces for emoticons, and we are at that limit. Until we get a new smiley system in place, there will be very few edits.

There seems to a few forum members with a keen eye to the political landscape. Perhaps we could have a section where respectful debate on the issues of the day could occur. Somewhat like a forum crossfire, but with actual debate and reasoned argument. STAFF EDIT: Try starting a thread in the Channel 6 News sub-board. If all goes well and there is enough interest, a separate section might be added in the future.

I've had an idea. I know we have a lot of contest going on... So how about a monthly contest? Viewers choice Springfield of the month? Where people submit their panoramic view of their town and people vote for their favourite. Whether it be based on design, detail, 3D work, reality... Maybe introduce a gold medal badge or something? Just an idea, I know it's something I'd love to take part in, hopefully others may too Spiffshine D'oh-tastrophe Inc. LSLeong (Sorry just tagging some peeps so it gets seen) STAFF EDIT: This is a good suggestion for Pics & Recreation. Please post it on the Pics & Recreation Suggestions thread.

Spiffshine, I noticed someone took away our beer mug. Can we replace it with ? I am sure Gilby, 847.63, Duff Dawg, and JoeBeezy will agree as to how vital this. STAFF EDIT: There is a limited number of spaces for emoticons, and we are at that limit. Until we get a new smiley system in place, there will be very few edits.

Maybe a link to the form to make a donation to the forum can be added to the quick links? This option is not available if we are currently ad free. STAFF EDIT: Done! Thank you for the great suggestion! The " Click here to remove banner ads from this forum" link at the bottom of each page is now always active. You can also click on the picture of ol' Gil in the sidebar to the left of the forum. See Ad Free and ProBoards+ Guide.

Hey just a thought, but is it possible to post all premium badges that have been made so far somewhere on the forum? I'd like to see them, and it may also give people that little extra push they need to donate STAFF EDIT: Done! Thank you for the great suggestion! See Premium Badges.

Hey just a thought, but is it possible to post all premium badges that have been made so far somewhere on the forum? I'd like to see them, and it may also give people that little extra push they need to donate my thunder has be taken by the BAT... Badge suggestion. We have an ADD ME Thread... im not suggesting an ADD me Badge Section, but something similar there is a thread (which i cant find now!!!) tstappedout.com/thread/1463/guide-forum-awards?page=1explaining (FOUND IT)various badges and what they are. And what where and how they are awarded. DO I FEEL UMMM WELL YOU KNOW.. THAT D WORD.... Now there are alot of premium badges...And alot of forum members don't know exactly what they are for.. ie Tardis Badge,Yeti etc etc I didn't when i first saw it< i went looking for an explantion and lakooo Very kindly explained the situation which eliminated any begging.(am i making more or less work for mods?) AS Each Badge is developed and given there could be a post there saying this badge was given... etc....Now if forum members see other forum member having certain badges.. they can go there and see what they are and why a forum member got it. That should reduce the "i waaaannnnt one......<add nasal whine>" And would give them some encouragement in doing similar things..ie krusty badge... im still not sure how that one works...Ah well.. "scratch head"... Just my suggestion.... STAFF EDIT: This has already been done... and it looks like you found it. See Guide to Forum Awards/Badges.

Just a quick suggestion, we have a board for TV and movies, a board for books... what's missing here in the big media? Oh yeah, a board for video games. This is a forum for a video game, we should have a board for general video game discussion as well! Maybe called the Noiseland Arcade. STAFF EDIT: Too many sub-boards makes Spiffshine cry. However, if there is enough interest we will talk. Try setting up a poll.

Would a general "add me" thread where someone maintains the first post be a good idea? (not saying there's anything wrong with how things are now in that regard) STAFF EDIT: Please feel free to create something like that on the Find Friends board if you wish. (PM a member of Forum Staff to sticky it for you.)

My forum suggestion (because I'm whoring for badges at the moment)... I came onto this thread and got really lazy and didn't want to have to read 20 pages just to see what suggestions have already been made. So my suggestion is this: How about we put a complied list of all the suggestions into the OP? It's a bit Inception-like, too, but it's certainly badge-worthy, no? STAFF EDIT: Done! The OP has been updated with all suggestions, including this one and lovely staff edits, like the one you are reading now, have also been added with useful information regarding each suggestion.

Since sooooome longtime forum members apparently lack the intellectual curiosity to explore the FAQ section of the forum, and therefore miss out on useful information, perhaps this section should be renamed to attract more attention. In the quick links on the left, maybe it could be "About the Forum." On the Home page, maybe it could be "Forum Information and Suggestions." (The description can remain the same.)
STAFF EDIT: Done! Thank you for the great suggestion! The sidebar link is now labeled "Forum FAQs & Info".

This has probably already been mentioned... But what would be super helpful is to have the page tabs at the bottom of each thread so when reading through posts to the bottom we don't then have to scroll back to the top to go to the next page. Or perhaps I am overlooking something which is very possible. STAFF EDIT: Done! Thank you for the great suggestion!

It would be nice if there was a way to flag posts so we could easily find it later.
Like if someone asks a question and you want to read the thread before answering.
STAFF EDIT: I don't know a way to accomplish this, but you can keep that post open and then read through the thread in another browser tab/window before coming back to it.
