STAFF EDIT: You can get a notification when there is a new post in a thread you have bookmarked. To bookmark a thread - scroll up to the top, click Actions and select Bookmark.



To get an email - go to your profile and click the Edit Profile button at the top right, click the Notifications tab, and check the events you would like.

When you mark a board as Read, it should mark all the threads in it as well - there shouldn't be any "New" icons to click. Can you give me a little more information on your experience please?

Hi Marge, I was wondering if we could introduce ´Marge´s forum member of the week´ for a forum member who has done something exceptional? I was thinking it would be a way to give official recognition to someone like Josh who has gone above and beyong the call of duty to help other forum members. However, it could also be based on other factors such as a particular funny comment or an awesome town design that has been shared.

It's most likely a ProBoard setting, but if it can be done in the settings.

The Paging, I keep forgetting to look at the top of the page to go through to the next page as I'm so used to them being at the bottom. So if there is a way to have both it'd be easier for me at least heh.

I'm glad that spoilers have their own subforum, but I have a few suggestions to further organize the forum.  I feel that since this is a Tapped Out forum, screenshots and spoilers should have their own forums on the front page.  I've listed forum headers in bold, forums following the headers, and a list of example topics that would belong in each forum.

The Simpsons Tapped Out

General Game Discussion - friend requests, crashes, talk about updates, ask questions
Screenshots - what have you done with..., tapped out photo contests
Speculation - spoilers, wishlists

General Discussion

The Lounge - same as before
Forum Activities - same as before
Forum Suggestions - announcements, suggestions related to the forum

I would also like the ability to go to the last post when clicking into thread, you can do this when clicking on the Thread name in the Last Post Column Forum List but when you're in the actual Forum Page clicking on the thread opens the first post as it would do.

So if there is a way to get a Last Post icon, link above the Username in the Last Post column

Hi Marge - I'm having a problem and I'm not sure if this is something you guys can fix. I usually post on the iPad without using the proboards app. It's impossible to scroll within the comment box. So when I want to quote someone who has posted a picture, the picture fills up the comment box and I can't scroll to the bottom to type my response. I don't have this problem on my PC because the scroll bar shows up there. Am I missing something?

Also, I notice the gender icons don't show up on certain threads. Is there a reason for that?

STAFF EDIT: The iPad scrolling issue is out of our control, but there are a couple things you can do that might help:
1) Edit in BBCode layout instead of Preview. It is more compact, but not as pretty.
2) Try holding your iPad up-and-down in portrait orientation instead of landscape. This may offer you more vertical space to work in.

Gender icons: there are members who have chosen not to display their gender.

2.) King Toots - where we could discuss music topics
3.) Nuclear Power Plant - where we could get together and complain about work
4.) Volcano Lair - to make "evil" plans

I'm sure there's more options out there - I would even volunteer to manage one of the threads like Moe

This is a great idea! Although I think you could just rename the Locker Room to Springfield Elementary

I would like to see a Springfield Art Museum section where everyone can post their decor art. I was going to gather some of the images around the forum and create a thread when I had the chance, but an Art Museum section would be even better!

Sorry if I'm repeating ideas that have already been said:

I'm not sure if this has been changed, or if its possible to change, but it would be cool if we could edit our own little titles (under the number of donuts in our profile sidebar). As I understand it we have to get a mod to do it.

Also, again not sure if its possible, but it would be really handy if, when someone changes their profile name, you can tag them in a thread using their new profile name instead of the one they used to set up an account.

The photo challenge competitions and forumfield projects are brilliant ideas and add much needed life to the game at times. Anything like this I'd happily welcome although I'm not exactly bursting at the seems with ideas. Maybe a place where people pay homage to The Simpsons by doing specific things like completely recreating an entire area in Springfield or reenacting a particular scene or iconic moment from any episode as best they can, although maybe that already exists within the realms of the photo challenges.

1. Custom Titles are built into the forum as a staff-only option. We do not have control over that. Sorry!

2. Tagging by display name is not a feature that ProBoards plans to implement for a variety of reasons, the most important being that all usernames must be unique, but display names can be anything and can be had by more than one member. Also, display names can contain spaces and other special characters. Try using the icon to search by display name and tag that person automatically.
