I'm allergic to both cats and dogs, so while I will never own one, I think I would prefer cats because they are low maintenance. I also hear they make great projectile weapons

I am a dog lover! But I can't seem to find Santa's Little Helper in my town... I have a lovely Springer Spaniel called Ted, he is 1 and a little Yorkshire Terrier called Ellie and she is 10! I love them both!!!

Growing up, I always had cats and dogs. I like both for different reasons. But I really, really, really need, not just want, a dog. My landlord won't let me have a dog so all I have are cats and a macaw.

No mokkabee, she is a Blue & Gold macaw, like these: I don't have access to a photo of my actual bird at the moment.

Very lovely! So does she speaks few words already? Hopefully nothing nasty Sorry to hijack the cats and dogs thead for bird stuff but I don't get to meet everyday people who own birds as pets I was thinking perhaps to get a bird for a pet at some time in the future. Not sure though what type. Probably something smaller like a pair of lovebirds

mokkabee - sorry, I forgot to answer you re my macaw's vocabulary. She says "whatcha doin'?" "cracker," "hello" (in several voices, and every time the phone rings on the TV)... "wanna dance?" and "love you"... I know she says more but she hasn't spoken in over a month because she suddenly hit puberty, laid eggs and is observing radio silence... I am assuming that is a defense mechanism for wild parrots to be quiet so predators don't hunt their young. In normal times she loves to dance, particularly to Percy Sledge's uptempo stuff. I think that is because when I adopted her that is what was on the stereo as she rode on my lap in my dad's truck on the way to her new home. She gives me kisses with a lip-smacking sound. I want to teach her to say "Here kitty kitty kitty."

I like this pose of Santa's little helper is because I wish I had taught my dog to do this trick. And below is a picture of my little angel. Sorry about the poor quality of picture I had to use my phone to take the photo of the picture with the frame. btw, I choose the doggie.
