(First of all, hi everyone! I'm a n00b to TSTO, but a longtime fan of The Simpsons. Stumbled onto it by accident after getting stuck on a level on Kiwanuka and looking for a "brainless" [that obviously isn't the case for TSTO] game in the App Store. That was last week-- so I missed the Stonecutters event, but I'm already at Level 12. My n00bness also means, no screenshot of animals in my town just yet. All of your pets and late beloved ones, are so beautiful! My heart goes out to those of you who have lost any furry family members.) I'm an animal lover, but I've had dogs and grown up with dogs all my life (thus far). I have lived with cats (roommates cats etc.) so I know how awesome they are, but I've never actually had one of my own. Jesse will remain to be the Best Dog in the World. She passed away in 2010 while I was attending college in another country and it took me more than two years to be really "over" it. She loved marshmallows, watermelon and playing hide-and-seek. Here she is being a cat/the Firefox logo in my Springfield: (A dog badge please, in honour of my Jesse.)

Ms_Spoooky what a beauty Jesse was. I have loved and lost quite a few dogs. I used to do dog rescue. The little dog I have now was my last rescue and I kept her. I adore dogs.

Here's various animal goings-on at the Springfield Pet Shop including Tatum, Arnie Pye, Burns, and Krusty on walkies, the Hibberts arguing over whether or not cats or dogs are better, Frink looking for a guinea pig, and some panda smuggling. I'm generally an animal lover, but cats are among my favourites! I have two at home. Figaro (male black and white)and Pippi (female tabby). I used to have a lovely Staffie dog called Murray, but he passed away recently.

Like any good dog Santas Little Helper is out walking himself. And like any good Murican, Apu just doesn't care. Dogs all the way. Here are my three little ones. I also have 2 big ones. But these three are like my kids. Sleep in bed with me every night and at least one has to be sitting with me if I'm home.

Either way they're adorable!!!!

Hard to really choose as I love both cats and dogs... I want a Siberian Husky someday, but right now, I'm more of a cat person... Our pet family is definitely a large one..We had until about 2 months ago 5 cats and 1 dog, now we're more or less down to 3 cats 1 dog (I'll explain later..) They've each got their place in the family as well.. We had our King, Mr. Kitty, whom at the age of 10 developed some major health issues, and in May passed away from heart failure: In the roughly 9 years that we had him, and hundreds of pictures, this is 1 of 2 that we have of him with his eyes open, he was always camera shy and ran away when he saw it (it took pre-focusing my Canon T3i from 10 feet away, hiding the camera, scratching his chin for 10 minutes, and one quick lucky snap to get this one picture... Amazing luck..). But he was always a very lovable cat, and the others in our bunch always respected him as the 'father' cat, or 'king of the castle' We all miss him dearly.. Our 2nd cat in the bunch is Sassy (5 years old), our 'Queen of the castle' She's the mother of 2 of our other cats. We found meowing nearly starved to death in our back yard when she was roughly 6 weeks old. Her mother had been killed by a car a block or so away, and her siblings (we found 2 later) had already starved to death unfortunately, but after about a week of slowly getting her closer to the house, she walked inside, and adopted us forever. She's definitely earned her name being the prissy tortoise shell calico she is: Next we have one of Sassy's first children.. (She had 2 litters of 3 and we kept one kitten from each batch.) Her name is Pip (4 years old) (Shortened from Pip Squeak) because she was the TINY runt of the litter. She's our 'princess' in the hierarchy of the house cats. Like her mother she's quite prissy, but doesn't shy away from showing you she's not very happy with you when she needs to.. Whereas Sassy will simply run away if she's unhappy with you, Pip will give us a demanding meow (the equivalent of a 'HEY QUIT IT' before giving us what we affectionately refer to as 'pissy ears' it's more or less her ears turned back and low, while she's giving you a very angry stare... It's honestly hilarious... But here's Pip in peacetime! Next would be our 'Court Jester' Socko..(almost 4) He was the biggest goofball(more below) of the bunch. He used to be very loving and affectionate, and would sleep at the head of my mom's side of the bed, and call out 'momma' (Yes he talks..Very clearly..) Sadly, he seems to be in some sort of turmoil following the death of Mr. Kitty. He rarely comes inside anymore, and when he does he eats then leaves. He's even begun to hiss at my mom which is way outside the normal. After he eats he goes out, sits on Mr. Kitty's grave for a few minutes, then jumps over the fence... We're afraid for the most part that he's gone feral, and even more worried because he's become very thin, almost sickly thin.. Perhaps he's just grieving... We don't know.. We consider him family still, but rarely see him anymore.. Here's Socko when he was a happy fat home cat.. Last but not least, we have our youngest (just over a year old now) Our Jester's Assistant Batman... He got his name because as a kitten his face looked like well, Batman's mask.. and his back looked like Batman's cape... As he's gotten older, and filled out more the Batman features have kind of stretched out, but he's still just a hilarious, fun, loving cat. Socko was the first of our brood to really accept him and they became the goofy pair of the house..Socko even taught Batman some words including Hello, Mama, Help, and Out... The only problem with Batman is that he's a bit A.D.D, especially at night, and seems to be afraid of the dark to some extent. He'll go outside at night fine, but if he gets stuck in a dark room alone, he FREAKS OUT, and we'll consistently hear 'Hello Hello' from him at night looking for attention and someone to play with.. Here's Batman when he was about 6 months old (haven't gotten a good recent pic.. but He's grown quite a lot since this photo) So there's our cat family. For dogs we have as I mentioned just the one. He's 12 now, a dapple Dachshund named Rosco Rosco is fun when he's not having senile moments. He's old, but as far as doxies go, he's quite healthy.. Our vet is amazed that he doesn't have any of the congenital health issues that doxies normally get (back joint issues mostly) Probably because he's still very active.. For exercise we take him outside and play 'chase the water' with the hose until he wears out... And he also sits up on his hind legs which keeps his back strong. So there you go... I love dogs, but cats are really more of my thing... EDIT: Found the 2nd picture of Mr. Kitty with open eyes... It was taken about a week before he passed... That of course is socko with him.. They never really hung out like this together, and we think that maybe toward the end Socko knew that Mr. Kitty was sick, and perhaps that's why he's taking the death so hard.. Anyways.. Here ya go.. On a lighter note awesome pets! Here a portrait of the real Beemer, that took over our household a few years back... Sorry to say but this cat is as ugly as a cat can be and still be a cat. When she hides her head the general effect is of a pile of bs. This doesn't stop her from running us with an iron claw, after all an Empress doesn't need beauty aids..... She's not ugly! Beautiful Tortie Calico!

She's about the same age as Batman (but not from the same litter) Pic about sums up her character... No your eyes are not fooling you... she's sticking out her tongue..

I love animals, both cats and dogs are great. I was raised with 2 cats, I would say I am a cat person. There is a reason one of the most popular internet searches is Cute Kitten or something like that.

I am partial to both but personally defintiely more of a cat person. In fact the only pet other than assorted fish and such imhave ever had was a cat. Here's the screenshot This was my cat. She had many names over her 18 years, but mostly went by Kittly as it was easiest to utter in both adoration and exasperation. Sitting on a bag, no matter how lumpy, was apparently always preferable to the more comfortable bed next to it. Bed was ok, too, though. With that said, I would like a snowball II badge please

I don't have a strong preference any more. After some sad goodbyes, I've decided no more pets for me. Overall, I think dogs win out for usefulness and I'm still finding stuff my stupid last cat nibbled on. Could not have a pair of drawstring pants. Plus I've been watching since Tracey Ullman days, and SLH's introduction on the show that it is more important in the mythology to me than the Snowballs.

Add your screenshot Add your short story/anecdote Receive your choice of badge Okidoki So I am applying for the badge Though I am neither a dog person nor cat person, I think I am more a guinea pig person hahaha, I think if I have to chose I would rather go for cats since dogs smell funny to me. I tried to dig out all the cat the game had to offer. Cat ballons, cat lady, zombie cat, even the cat ice sculpture And since I don't own any cat therefore not have any story I will just make up one Once upon a time there was a cat lady and she had many many cats that she carried around wherever she went. Her cats LOVED maize corn and one day when her cats go really hungry she met Mayan Homer and since he didn't wanted to share any of his maize corn she started throwing cats towards him, hoping this way he might be persuaded to share some of his precious food. Little did she knew, that Mayan Homer was very greedy and kept all food for himself. And because the cat lady went mad on this she summoned some zombie cats to deal with the Mayan Homer.

Cats, ofcourse :-) My own cat, Preben, in spite of the obvious male name, is a 2 yo female.. To date in 2014, she have rid the neighbourhood of 11 noisy chirping birds and 5 pesky mice.. That's the confirmed kills, she have brought home and eaten.. How many she have eaten outside, noone knows.. One night, where we had to get up, extra early, she brought home, not one, but TWO birds, only 2 hours apart...

Poor Snowball II. The Simpsons don't take good care of her, so she picks through the garbage bins outside the Bowlarama and the Springfield Grocery Store, looking for something to keep her going. This is my Miss Kitty. I rescued her from the woods outside a friend's house when she was 7 or so months old. She was malnourished and tiny because she'd just finished nursing a litter of kittens, even though she was just a kitten herself. My friend kept the kittens and I took Miss Kitty home with me. My other cat, who was old and hated all cats tried, several times in that first year or so, to eat her for lunch, but I made sure she was okay. The cat I adopted after my elderly cat passed away wanted desperately to be Miss Kitty's friend, but she would have none of that. She firmly established herself as the top cat who only barely tolerated his existence. He has now passed away too, and she rules the roost without question. She is still tiny because her growth was stunted by having been a teen mom, and getting her to eat is a constant challenge now that she has grown old, but no matter how old, or someday when she has passed, she will always be my baby.

So I said in my submission post that hopefully by the end of the summer I get a new cat. Friday I just adopted one from the SPCA for my mom. It was the only kitten they had and she fell in love with it. Its only two weeks old Of course all the good pics I didn't have the flash on and by the time I did he was tryna get away. That's y the last pick looks alittle crazy lol. Today he was practicing his pouncing when he came out his hiding spot. He's gonna be mad next week when he gets nuerterd.

Hi MISS KITTYYYY !!! You're adorable! It seems that all cats want to be the Top Cat. Indeed! Next time I adopt, I'll be scouting around for littermates or a bonded pair. I've always wanted kitties who would snuggle up together instead of swatting at each other. JoeBeezy, SuperFlyingKitty is sooooooo stinkin' cute! I can't believe the vet is going to neuter him so young.
