We could maybe organise times to go on or maybe have a thread on here to ask if anyone is on? What does anyone think to having donuts? I could control the donut situation, if everyone agrees Yes I would love that. So now we have a person who is in control of that and we have moparman as mastermind (who came up with this splendid idea) slowly this project is taken shape I vote for we giving it a catchy name. How about Project Patchwork? About timing, this could be a problem since we all are from different time zones and I am not good at all in calculating ( I suck in mathematics lol). I will probably always log in at the wrong time but as I understand the worst thing that could then happen to me is the Bart screen. Or is there more to it?

Like the sound of that! Y'all think we should leave it a few more days to see if anyone else is interested or shall we just get on with it now? How about some rules?

Like the sound of that! Y'all think we should leave it a few more days to see if anyone else is interested or shall we just get on with it now? How about some rules? Well I'd say let's start it. I will happily volunteer in creating the rectangles for each future participant. And as long as we are only 4 people on the project the rest of the squares or rectangles will just be left empty which is ok because we are not in a rush so let new people come an join us whenever new wanna join. This way we have the best of both sides. Some already starting with the decoration and step by step more people will join. Now what is on my mind since the last hour is this. Should we draw border lines as squares or as rectangles ? I prefer rectangles in the size of an iPad screen. Here is why.... Rectangles in the size of the iPad screen hast got the advantage that when we make screenshots then we only need 1 screenshot for each persons area. No stitching required (apart from stitching the whole thing together of course but I mean no stitching for each participant itself) So I would prepare the empty fields with the help of bushes or fences or hedges. So it would be easy to see. Rules ? Well. That we can think of once we started I mean basic rules like do not touch someonelses design area should be clear. Furthermore no vandalism. What rules did you had in mind? So I take it we will have one empty Springfield where the entire land is already available ?

Do we want a full empty map and a lot of cash to build with, or build it from scratch land included? minky, Stu, moparman, mokkabee

Do we want a full empty map and a lot of cash to build with, or build it from scratch land included? minky, Stu, moparman, mokkabeeWell let's see the pro's and con's Option A - Full empty map plus cash and donuts: Pro: full creativity no design limits fast progress everybody would have enough of all of it Con: ? Option B - Starting from scratch without anything at all: Pro: ? Con: Slow progress 4 people = waiting weeks until all can participate Not much decoration available in the lower levels (not good for people who are used to having it all available ) Not much money to buy enough of the little that is available No premium content in a long time and then via collecting donuts from up leveling only 1 or 2 within each month It just sucks? I would go for option A

I am in absolute agreement with mokkabee. I don't think the other option is workable.

I don't think we should discard all the debris - in case anyone wants to do something with it - but this is going to be a regular town, not a canvas for 2D artwork, correct? So maybe just keep some of it in a corner for people to use for whatever they think trash is good for…?

Ok... It will be a group effort to move it all. When your done with the game remember to sync the game so your progress isn't lost.

Yes the garbage could be moved to those areas or corners that is not in use so far. Perhaps not too far away so we can access it easier and faster when we need it but definitely outside of the rectangles that I am looking forward to draw Yippie we're moving on with Project Patchwork !!

Currently working on the tutorial will PM participants details in about a half hour I'm really excited about this! It's like we're in the maternity ward waiting for Dr. Vigilante to come out & tell us "Congratulations! You are the proud parents of a bouncing baby Springfield!" (Sorry, a wave of silliness just washed over me.)

I just had an idea for one of the rules We could make the rule that each participant chooses a couple of colours which should be main colour in their design work. So we will have not only a patchwork gardens but they would be colour coded as well example: if I let's say choose to build something where the main colour will be orange and blue then I would use a lot of items which have those colours such as orange walls or the orange house and blue such as blue phone booths or the blue house. Of course there would be always other colours also with it but what I mean is the main colours the majority should be then in those colours one chose or would this be too difficult ?

I can't wait to get started it's currently 9:15pm in England, so I can go on tonight or tomorrow during the day. Not too busy at work tomorrow so should have plenty of time.

I am in the same time zone as Vigilante if that helps narrow down the schedule. It doesn't matter much to me when my turn is - I am an insomniac & am self-employed so my schedule is wide open!

So when you would go in tonight what would you do first? Moving the garbage into the fields corners? Because I wanted to draw some rectangles so that everyone can start sooner or later that will take some time don't know much.

I'm not in at the moment. Might not be able to for a hour or two so go ahead if you like. Hey I am finished with my work Ok now I have created 9 patches or rectangles that can be screenshotted very easily from any iPad and I am sure also any other tablet. This now is stitched together but it only took me the 9 screenshots for each area. What we should do next is decide who wants to have which part. I would go with the part over the middle one where now the pet shop is in it. The centre part should go to moparman since it was his idea for this project what do you think?
