And darn, I was just working on a very special update... Season 25No, I am not giving up on where we were, but why not do current and past at the same time? I mean, EA will be releasing content for both after all. So, then... Homerland Airdate: September 29, 2013. Episode #RABF20 1st appearances: Agent Crawford, Black FBI Agent, FBI Burrito Van, Homer's Device If my appearances sounds choppy, I apologize. My airing of the episode was riddled with problems with the opening sequence cut short and some of the stuff in Boise replaced with a black screen. So, boo. This may get fixed with later airing, knock on wood. So, as a result, if the Hi-Glow Waste Barrels were seen in the episode, must have been at the convention in Boise since I never saw them. The Three-Eyed Sushi must be an in game exclusive too since The Simpsons never appeared at the Squidport, at least that I saw. Flexible Reality may be screwing with our town layouts again, given we now appear to have SNPP to the right of the Springfield Sign. Frankly, given Halloween is so close, I would not encourage anyone spending money on redesign or whatnot. Speaking of which, for those who caught the teaser for Treehouse of Horror, I think you will agree with me in hoping that we get a good mix of old and new this year. Plus, c'mon, EA, Chuthulu? Please? See you next time, Gadget... next time.

Some big news that will affect updates of the guide, folks.
I was hired for a new job this afternoon. I could start as early as the 14th, more likely the 21st. It will tie me up pretty solid in the mornings and afternoons and my Monday and Tuesday nights are already dedicated to hanging with friends. So, just a question of how much energy I have after a day of work, I suppose.
Make no mistake, the guide is not, repeat, NOT ending. We have come too far and now with season 26 confirmed, we're in 'from my cold, dead hands' territory now. But the massive content updates are going to slow down. Sorry about that, but if I want money for bills and donuts, this cannot be helped.
Perhaps an update to sooth the wound? Yes, I might like that too.

Congratulations on the new job mattperiolat! You have done so much with this thread... it is astounding really. Slowing down is completely understandable, but I'm so happy to hear that it won't stop completely. Thanks for everything and I'm looking forward to your next updates, whenever you get to them.

mattperiolat Congrats on the new job! This is an amazing thread and we can all see the work that went into it. I hope you enjoy your new job. Also, never stop hanging with your friends. It's the Goo, right? Friends dig the goo. Seriously though, yeah, in game time may drop, but look on the bright side. Now I can actually afford DONUTS! And I certainly won't be a stranger in these parts. As for updates... we will see.

So, how about we do some updating here, huh? First off, new pictures were added to old posts, featuring the Community Center and the Boardwalk. Go check them out, they're really cool. Second, in case you did not notice, it's Halloween time in our Springfields and we have gotten some goodies. I do not have everything unlocked (yet) and we have not yet reached references for everything. The episode references I'm thinking about just gunning the motor and doing Treehouse episodes over the course of the holiday weekends. I am planning on doing last year and the new Treehouse tomorrow. Beyond that, let us see what the audience demands. Retroactively, the only significant change was EA gave us the Ancient Burial Ground featured way back in Treehouse of Horror (Airdate: October 25, 1990. Episode #7F04). It's a nice opportunity to expand the Bad Dream House complex. Since I have an Evergreen Terrace neighborhood next to Springfield Elementary and we have had references in past episodes to a scary house looming over the school ( Psycho reference for the unwashed masses), I just dropped BDM to the right of the school near its upper right edge. The Burial Ground is supposed to be under the house, but without 3D building and a lot of space, that will not work out. So, I have placed the Grounds to the left of BDM with it oriented so the steps going down into the Grounds are against the House. Place some Dead Trees at the lower left corner, top middle and middle right edges of the House to complete the property. As for the Jack-O-Lantern, the only two 'required' places are in front of the Simpsons House and under the window of Bart's Treehouse. I swore I saw the Hanging Skeleton Tree in an early episode, one of the first four Treehouse episodes, but cannot seem to locate it at the moment. So, free form it and as many Jack-O-Lanterns as you wish and/or can afford. I'll update as I unlock more, complete with photos. For now, enjoy the holiday and please watch this space. I ain't finished today yet. Not by a long shot.

Homer the Vigilante Airdate: January 6, 1993. Episode #1F09. 1st Appearances: K9 Officer, Maloy, Miniature Nuclear Warhead, Vigilante skin for Homer, Barney, Apu, Moe and Skinner, Springfield Museum, World's Largest Zirconia, Big T Building, Big T Burgers & Fries, The Tea Factory, Big T Theatre, Duff Beer Billboard, T Tree, W Tree. Herman's Antique Weapons gets a remodel with Brick Walls extending back four to six squares from the sides of the shop, then meeting to create a yard space. The Miniature Nuclear Warhead, if you have the donuts, is placed against the back wall of the yard, oriented left to right. I'm still saving money for the World's Largest Zirconia (bad timing for land expansion, unfortunately) but given we really do not have a Springfield Museum yet, I'm planning on placing it behind the Retirement Castle when the time comes. I'll be frank, the stuff connected with the episode is cool, but right now may not be the best time to invest the donuts with the holiday season breathing down our necks. That being said, I would encourage on getting the Warhead for the bump to job payouts. Worth it for sure. Aside from that, unless we get Maloy or at least the T Tree, I would say EA has done a good job coving this episode. Next time, I didn't do it. Figuratively.

Oh and a quick Halloween update that I forgot about. With the Mausoleum available again, it is possible to complete the cemetery complex seen in Treehouse of Horror III (Airdate: October 29, 1992. Episode #9F04.)

" If anyone wants me, I'll be in my room." - Lisa, Bart Gets Famous. Bart Gets Famous Airdate: February 3, 1994. Episode #1F11. 1st appearances: Toy Town, Fireworks Testing Range, Slide Factory, Box Factory, Security Officer, Gissieppi, Monstro Mart, Mrs. Quimby, Hammer. This episode also features Bumblebee Man's Fill In as News Anchor task. I believe this is the first appearance of KrustyLu Studios new look, although it is unfinished minus the archway. Where oh where is the Box Factory? Be a great nondescript building to add and a pretty funny joke from the episode. Guess we have a box on us all. As for female characters who are not ectoplasmic, there is Mrs. Quimby who I believe makes her debut in this episode. But, we now have a problem in adding her in, at least right now. We're about a month plus removed from the fiftieth anniversary of John Kennedy's assassination and given Mrs. Quimby is usually portrayed wearing the outfit, gloves and pearls Jackie was wearing the day her husband was shot, it would be in EXTREMELY poor taste to release her right now. Maybe save her for later, tie her in with the Quimby Estate or something. Next time, who needs the Kwick-E-Mart?

Homer and Apu Airdate: February 10, 1994. Episode #1F10. 1st Appearances: Channel 6 Studios, Ordinary Van, Kwick-E-Mart Executive, James Woods, World's First Convenience Store, President of the Kwick-E-Mart Corporation (Yes, Really). This episode also features Kent Bockman's Record Bite Back with Kent Brockman task. For those who accept flexible reality, you can move the Kwick-E-Mart to the corner location one street below the Simpson House. I keep mine there just for convenience. No, not joking, why are you laughing? And now, the tough one - where on earth does Channel 6 Studios stand in relation to KrustLu Studios? Truth is, I am not sure, I keep flipping them back and forth on the same property depending on mood. Based on the episode, place Channel 6 to the right of KrustLu and wait an episode or two, it may change. Shame we have Sprawl*Mart now, MonstroMart would have done just as well and just as funny. Maybe even tasks for Marge, SVT and Barney. Others too. Next time, uh... we'll just pretend we didn't see that.

"Malibu Stacy, the world's favorite eight-and-a-half-incher." - the dirtiest line I cannot BELIEVE I missed all these years, Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy.
"Hello, Smithers. You're quite good at turning me on." - my favorite dirtiest line all these years, Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy.
Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy Airdate: February 17, 1994. Episode #1F12.
1st appearances: Center for Geriatric Medicine, Matlock, Simply Shoes, One Size Fits All Lingerie, House of the Refunds, Origami Designs, Just Vinegar, Kidstown USA (all Springfield Mall locations), Celeste, Petrochem Petrochemical Corp., Stacy Lavelle, Lavelle Manor, Commando Joe.
Krusty Burger: Add a chain fence along the right side border of the property.
Even if she is silent, I'd love to see Stacy Lavelle and Lavelle Manor added into the game as part of a Malibu Stacy storyline. Heck, add in Petrochem too!
... should I be concerned about the game or my interests in it that this is yet another factory I am asking for?
Next time, in inanimate carbon rod we trust.

Deep Space Homer Airdate: February 24, 1994. Episode #1F13 1st appearances: NASA General, NASA Lead Scientist, NASA car, Jim Wallace, Toby Hunter, NASA skins - Homer and Barney, Race Banyon, Buzz Aldrin, Pillow Factory, Spacesuit skin - Homer, Corvair spaceship, James Taylor, Hail Ants sign. Me being me, I set up a little Kent Brockman spot by Channel 6 with a Lawn Chair and a Hail Ants Sign next to it. Unless Kent gets a house, this is as good as it gets and even if it does improve, I kinda like it. I cannot tell you how often I see people wanting stuff from this episode. Of all the things people want to do in their towns, sending Homer into space is pretty close to the top. Makes you wonder why we have only gotten the sign and nothing else so far. Well, figure EA will get to this eventually based on its popularity, just a question of when. Next up, Homer and Flanders?

Homer Loves Flanders Airdate: March 17, 1994. Episode #1F14.
1st appearances: Shelbyville Stadium, Stan Taylor, Helter Shelter, Lake Springfield Sign, Flanders Boat. The episode also features Todd's Eat Sugar task.
There is a suggested adjustment of replacing the fence line between the Flanders and Simpsons with a hedge row, but it is I believe only for the purposes of this episode. May change my mind on that.
You know, I'm wondering if either I'm rusty or really there is just not much new in these episodes to offer. Either way, gotta admit, it's a bit frustrating.
Next time... EA, I. Want. An. Elephant.

Bart Gets An Elephant Airdate: March 31, 1994. Episode #1F15. 1st appearances: Sid, Marty, DJ-3000, Stampy, Springfield Arboretum, Cletus, Mr. Blackheart, Peanut Factory, Springfield Tar Pits, Springfield Animal Refuge. Cletus: Call me crazy, but I think there is some stuff in this episode that is very much in demand. I'm sort of torn on Stampy though. Not if we should get him or not, we absolutely should, I just dunno if he should have an assignable task like Jub Jub and be roaming free, trumpeting. Either way, the sooner he is added, regardless of what he comes with, be it KBBL or something else, the better. I think that will do it for today. We will have some more tomorrow, but not as much as I will be busy in the evening. But I will do the two Treehouse episodes as promised. When we pick up next time, at last, an Estonian dwarf!

Burns' Heir Airdate: April 14, 1994. Episode #1F16.
1st appearances: The Creamatorium, Shoes for Tots (Springfield Mall shops), Estonian Dwarf, Happy Earwig Motel.
Our first look at stately Burns Manor in a while and the alterations are very minor. Since EA has not yet given us the straight up and down fir trees yet, place basic pine trees, three to the left, three to the right in alignment with the back wall of Burns Manor. Place 2 square shrubs in front of the trees.
We do not see the location on camera, but it appears Santa's Village is near Burns Manor, so mine is currently up the street from the house.
Mostly cosmetic stuff from this episode, but more is to come for Burns's place, rest assured.
Next time, prayer... IN A SCHOOL?!?!?

Sweet Seymore Skinner's Baadasssss Song Airdate: April 28, 1994. Episode #1F18. 1st appearances: Leopoldo, Skinner - Casual skin, Springfield Laundromat, Luigi's (interior only), Luigi, Army Colonel, Skinner - Sergeant skin, Quonset Hut, Gerald, Tank. This episode also features Chalmers's Shout at Skinner task. Yes, it does, he only inspected in Whacking Day, not come to shout. Skinner House can have a lawn chair added to the backyard, oriented left to right against the back wall of the house. Just hope Brockman is not in the area. *shudders* We get a look at the interior of Luigi's, but without an exterior shot, I cannot recommend a placement. Finally the Kwick-E-Mart can compete with the Gas 'n' Gulp with the addition of the Gas Pumps. Move two squares down from the edge of the Parking Lots in front of the Kwick-E-Mart and place the pumps two squares apart, oriented left to right. If you have the space in front of your Kwick-E-Mart (I don't), move two more squares down and add a second row. Either way, it gives the area a bit more polish. I'd love to see more from this episode. The Laundromat could give Skinner a new skin and a wider variety of tasks and I'd like to think we'd like the Quonset Huts to make a military base. Of course, we need more space, so that would be nice too. That we have yet to get Leopoldo, given what a great character model it is is also surprising. If we ever get Maggie as an individual character, let's hope Gerald is a premium or some sort of addition too. On a personal note, it occurs to me that, with this episode, I've been doing this for one hundred episodes (one hundred and two if you could Do The Bartman and Deep Deep Trouble, more with updates). I'm fairly certain that there are those out there still quite convinced I have lost my mind. Me? Nah, this is fun. Besides, how much longer could this last? I mean, it is not like the show is going to run for another twenty years, right? *whispers in his ear* ... Please kill me. Seriously, it's been fun. Let's keep at it, shall we? Next time, EA, where is our COURTHOUSE?!?!?

The Boy Who Knew Too Much Airdate: May 5, 1994. Episode #1F19.
1st appearances: Prison Bus, Abraham Lincoln, 4-H Club, Springfield Auction House, Quimby Compound, Freddie Quimby, Freddie's Car, French Waiter, Springfield Palace Hotel, Rat Trap Delivery Truck.
Boy, two wants for me on this go around. I'd really like getting the Quimby Compound, especially if it gives us Mrs. Quimby and Freddie. On the other hand, I really want the Court House. I wonder if EA will ever hear us on that one.
Anyway, unfortunately, I am going to have to call it a day for now. Got an event to attend, but look on the bright side - if I feel up to it, maybe some Treehouse stuff from tonight before bed.

Let's finish up Season 5, do a summation, then we will do last night's Treehouse(s). Lady Bouvier's Lover Airdate: May 12, 1994. Episode #1F21. 1st appearances: Patty and Selma's Jeep, Hal Roach Apartments, P. Piggly Hogswine's Super-Smörg, Venus Bridal Salon. I'd like to get Patty and Selma's Jeep, maybe it will come with the DMV and Patty and Selma if EA... sorry, force of habit. I suspect the Hal Roach Apartments and Jacquline Bouvier are coming soon, I personally hope for Thanksgiving or Christmas. Either would be a great potential holiday tie in. Anything to give Grandpa more to do as well. The rest of the stuff is incidental and, unless EA REALLY is going over episodes with a fine toothed comb like I am, I would not count on them. Next time, secrets of a successful marriage by Homer J. Simpson. We're all doomed!

Secrets Of A Successful Marriage Airdate: May 19, 1994. Episode #1F20.
1st appearances: Lenny's House, Adult Education Annex (new model), Annex Administrator, Broken Home Chimney Repair, Splitsville Icecream Sundaes, Painful Memories Party Supplies, Marge Plant. This episode also features Lenny's Teach Class on Chewing Tobacco Class.
Adult Education Annex only has a close up of the front, so the best I can recommend is placing it facing a left to right running road facing down. The map recommends placement near Springfield Elementary and Springfield High, so I say run with that.
Pretty unlikely we will get too much more from this episode. Lenny's House I dunno since his living conditions are in flux between house and apartment somewhat regularly. But I would not object to the Marge Plant being added as a decoration. Something fun to add to the Simpson yard, although I doubt Tree Hugging needs another kick.
And so, we have come to the end of another season of our favorite family. I would argue we are heading into a truly great period for the show, which means more content. The bad news? Into every great show, a little crap must fall and so it will eventually. But that is in the future for us.
I'm not certain if the recap for refining placement of buildings and decors is necessary these days, given I have added pictures and placements pretty concisely. Like some recommendations on that one, if you please.
Next time, a visit to yea Olde Treehouse.

Well, if you have not been following along in the main thread, I am having a serious problem with my iPad version of TSTO and it's ability to stay connected to the servers. It crashes out within seconds of connecting, so it severely handicaps my ability to play. The good news is my iPhone is able to connect and I can continue to tap away. But there is no way I can decorate as precisely as I would like on a 4s size screen.
So, for now, I have to stop my decor threads until either a.) the iPad connection improves, maybe after Halloween or b.) I get a new iPad. I have no idea when the new iPad would come but given what I would need to save up for it, I would not expect it until sometime in the new year, assuming I can get through the holiday season and obtain a permanent over seasonal job.
I really want to apologize to everyone reading this. I'm a perfectionist and even Acts of God like this make me feel like I have let people who support me down. I can only say I will do what I can to come back better and stronger than ever in time.
Until then, keep tapping.

Th iPad problems are fixed. We are fully operational. However, it is pretty late in the day, so I am not sure if we will do posts today or not. For sure not tomorrow, I have doctors appointments. (Relax, I'm fine, just my 5,000 mile tuneup) But we will resume on Thursday, promise you that.
