Here's a suggestion - is it possible to have a page with default Simpsons pics for people to choose quickly and simply for an avatar? This is aimed at the newbies really, there are some people who have no avatar because they may be unsure how to apply one and I feel much better talking to somebody with a simpsons pic rather than that creepy default pic. But if you can't be bothered, I don't blame ya.
STAFF EDIT: We actually tried this, but they looked too much like actual avatars and we were afraid that could get confusing. It's always strange when 2 members have the same avatar and you're not sure who said what.

I would like to suggest another group. We have had several threads and discussions about various hardware and software issues. Why not create a sub group for discussing: Acquiring hardware. We have had several threads on this. Root/jailbreak devices - neither of which is illegal. Software questions. Having problems or looking for an app. Again, we have had several of these. Make it a subgroup of the couch, since it would be off-topic for TSTO. Give everyone access. Heavily monitor to eliminate any discourse regarding hacks/cheats/glitches, warn offenders. Remove access rights from repeat offenders. Maybe call it the Mapple Store. Or if Solar Dragon or waltercartman know of a better Simpsons related name for a computer store, use it. I got a couple cool names you could use from the show. Take or leave any of them. Knights Who Say 'Ni' The Java Server Mr. X Wang Computers The Crypto Barn Virtual Doctor I like The Java Server or Virtual Doctor but go with whaterver you want. Im sure Solar Dragon could throw some more out as well. Computer Hospital would be a good name, although I don't think it will be well known. Frink's Lab is the only other name I can think of at the moment. STAFF EDIT: Thank you for the great suggestion! This is on our To Do list. UPDATE: Done! Visit Crypto Barn.

Ok, my suggestion for the forum is to start utilizing PayPal in addition to the CC option. It is really handy, it safeguards your CC info and I think it would increase contributions and badge/gift sales. Of course if there is a more prominent site that is used across the pond then adding that would be great as well. Seems like a win/win all around. STAFF EDIT: Unfortunately ProBoards has no plans to offer paypal support at this time. Sorry!

This is more of a suggestion for the developers of the badge plugin, but perhaps they should make a way for users to select which badges show on their miniprofile, and then under the selected ones it could say "...and {x} more!" Going to the full profile would then show all of the badges and awards.
They could also allow the admins of a forum to set a cap on how many badges are displayed in the miniprofile. I don't think it's problematic now, but we're already at around 30 badges, so down the line when we're at even more miniprofiles may just get ridiculously large.
STAFF EDIT: Thank you for the great suggestion! I will submit this to the plugin developer and see what comes of it.

I don't really have any kind of a suggestion as I'm not the most tech savvy and everything is nice and organized on my end. I just came for the free cookie I actually do have more of a question than a suggestion. How many people actually use the proboards app from the App Store and could someone post a screen shot or two so I could actually see if is more streamlined than the web version? I like how the web version looks and is organized, I don't know if I want to change up how I post. Is there a thread on it somewhere or could someone using the app make a thread? STAFF EDIT: Yep, there's a thread on it here. It's for the Android version, but I imagine the iOS version is almost identical. Hopefully that helps you, if not, feel free to 'bump' it back to the front page and ask a few more questions.

Hey mods, just wondering is there anyway to stop certain posts from showing up in recent posts? I have been avoiding 'Breaking Bad Spoilers' like the plague however I was browsing through recent posts and it just spoiled it for me Is it possible to stop any spoiler threads from showing up there? STAFF EDIT: It doesn't appear to be possible. But you have the blessings of mdfriend if you want to give them hell for being inconsiderate. What really needs to happen is the jackasses that post spoilers, even in spoiler announce threads should still use the spoiler alert tag. You could pop in there and give them hell for that. STAFF UPDATE: This may be possible by creating sub-boards just for spoiler information (I will look into this further), but the best option is still to bash the necessary use of spoiler tags into the heads of all members.

I was going to post this in the P&R backroom, but I thought it may be more appropriate in this thread so that more people could modify this suggestion. It's kind of in the thinking out loud stages. From posts I have read over the last six to eight weeks, I seem to get the sense that this space is overwhelming for newer people to navigate. For those of us who have been here since the beginning, we have seen the expansions as they happened. But I imagine all the different boards are kind of hard to navigate if you haven't been here, or if you are coming from EA where most of the off topic banter seems to be streamlined into about half a dozen threads. I know we have a "Welcome" thread, but I'm not sure how much people use it. Would it be possible to have a folder of threads that read something like an "archive" or a "time capsule". Not so much a information guide, like where to find out information on badges or contests, but a collection of threads about the forum itself. Maybe the Six Month thread with just the stories and none of the filler. Or a First Impressions thread where members can post their memories of how they got here, why they stayed, or some of their favorite moments. That way folks who are new might have a collection of ideas to peruse at their own convenience. It might make it feel like some of the conversations here aren't just inside jokes. STAFF EDIT: Thank you for the fantastic suggestion! I will put this on our To Do list. UPDATE: Done! Visit TSTO Forum Oral History.

I see that the badges, and the Badges label, have been moved up, closer to the Proboards badges or the Mini Profile info. Can they be moved down a little again? I liked it when it was spacey and airy around them. It feels too cluttered now.
STAFF EDIT: Done! At the time of this suggestion, we were making a lot of revisions to the mini-profile layout to tame them back into something manageable.

Channel 6 cannot compete with The Real Housewives of Shelbyville. We need to rebrand! I propose the addition of music as appropriate content in the Channel 6 subforum. There is still hope that Channel 6 will be the media capital of the (small, but wonderful Tapped Out) world!
STAFF EDIT: Done! Thank you for the great suggestion.

Maybe a KBBL Radio sub-forum for music? STAFF EDIT: We thought about that, but too many sub-boards makes for a cranky Spiffshine and you know what they say... Always Agree With Spiff.

Is it possible to add the origin-id to the members list? I'm interested in, wich forum members are in my friends list but don't want to start a stupid thread. This also could help to minimize the add me threads, cause I'm someone who say's "feel free to add me, that's why I show my ID in the profile", but I don't look in those threads and send requests. I'd accept them, but don't search for it, I have around 80 friends.
STAFF EDIT: Unfortunately, we do not have control over that. There is a space for adding your Origin ID to your profile however. If a member has this filled in, you can view it in their full profile.
To include your Origin ID in your profile, go to Edit Profile > Personal and scroll to the bottom just below Device/Platform.

I'd like to suggest that when you "Krusty the Clown" someone's post that the words show up as a picture of Krusty like it used to with snakes and it does with . Because pictures are fun. STAFF EDIT: I agree! Unfortunately, I don't believe we can turn tags into easter eggs without losing the tag/link itself.

Is there a way to edit posts in pm's? If not, is it possible to add it? It took me forever to think of a suggestion that wasn't already mentioned on here, plus this place is pretty perfect, so suggestions don't come easy. And I really want a cookie STAFF EDIT: This is a fantastic suggestion, but beyond our control. Sorry! (You still get a cookie.)

I'd love to be able to gift badges which I bought for myself, with the intention of buying them for other people. Only Spiffshine knows that I've done this, so hopefully nobody else finds out. STAFF EDIT: Proboards listened and fixed the issue! With updates expected to push on Monday 9/16/2013, ProBoards will include a way for those that purchase badges for themself a way to re-gift the badge one time. Oh, well, if that's what you were going for, I can change my association. I originally wanted to ask you to add a multi-quote feature because of the excessive double and triple posts. Then I realized it was already a feature. I don't know if giving me a cookie is a valid suggestion. Uhh ... uhh ... more themes. What happened to the other one you used to have? The current one is fine because blue, gray, and white are among my favorite colors, but others may like different colors.
STAFF EDIT: More themes have been discussed, actually, and could become a possibility, though the technology available has a couple downsides - namely plugins that have specifically defined colors rather than following the theme. This may potentially be fixed by the developers with enough begging, bribing and eyelash-batting.

Okay, here's a suggestion. Increase (WTF? I wasn't thinking when I was typing that first and realized I was typing out "incest"... awkward) the limit of the subject titles. For example, I made a topic called "Here's why I think Patty and Selma and the Mall aren't..." instead of "Here's why I think Patty and Selma and the Mall aren't in the game yet" because it wouldn't let me type that. Stupid low subject limits...
STAFF EDIT: We have no control over that, and wouldn't want insanely long thread titles if we did.

We have to work for a cookie? But I was given a brownie when I first got here, no work needed. If I had to think of 1 suggestion that this awesomely kickas$ board needs, it would be the color wheel. I'm on my phone (desktop mode) and when I click on the color wheel, it comes up but I can't drag the dot to what color I want, it drags my whole page. Maybe there's already a solution for that? Sorry I was staring at the cookies the whole time while typing that so my mind was elsewhere
STAFF EDIT: That's a proboards function. The mobile site is kind of limited, and there are touch vs. click interface issues. With the color plugin we have installed, you can save your favorite colors to a palette to use again and again - in desktop mode at least.

Ok how about this..... Why is the only way to perches an add free package is by using your credit card? I don't have a credit card and therefore am unable to help support an add free site. A way to pay using an alternative method like iTunes which would work great for me, would be awesome. STAFF EDIT: Proboards has stated that they have no intention of adding PayPal support at this time. As for iTunes, ProBoards not affiliated with Apple, so I don't see how that would work.

Hey so now that disco stu is out how about a section on here called Stu's Disco? Think of it like Moe's tavern where we could request songs (played courtesy of YouTube) grab a couple of cocktails/shots, I might even ask Andy for a dance It might be a little cliche because we already have Moe's but hey no harm in suggesting. In fact there's a cookie in suggesting I dunno if it will work but you mods are the geniuses, i'm just a lady in meat dress. STAFF EDIT: This is a nice idea! Feel free to create a Disco thread or visit KBBL Radio to suggest a song. I'm sure that coop will happily oblige.

The "what are you listening to" can be migrated there. THIS! Music is not really fitting in well in Channel 6. Music needs its own place in which to be groovy. username will be so pleased if it happens!

Spiffshine and mdfriend, think we could convince ProBoards for a "don't show images" option for signatures? We can bribe them with donuts and badges. STAFF EDIT: You can choose not to display signatures entirely, but I don't think there is a way to turn off images only. Go to Edit Profile > Settings and set "Show Signatures" to No.
