EDITED 12-30-201313: To Correct Dohnut price for Police Car. EDITED 1-8-2014: To add Mr. Sparkle Billboard -- Limited Time EDITED 1-22-2013: Level 38 Update EDITED: 2-8-2014: Valentines Update There are often times three camps of players when it comes to buying Premium items. One) These players buy premium items simply because they will look good. Any Bonus % or money / XP earned is just a side benefit. TWO) These guys will buy items that have characters with them first. This is a good thing as it gives extra tasks which can earn extra $$ and XP. THREE) Players in this camp look to buying items that give the highest % of bonus XP and $$$ earned for all items and characters. I rarely buy dohnuts. When I do on those rare occasions, usually during a Holiday Event, I currently go for the items that give me back Return On Investment (ROI) with a bonus % on all XP and Money earned for all tasks. But I am sure that will change once I get a large % of bonus XP and $$$ and then I will be collecting Premium items with characters with them. So I wanted to see what items would give the best % of bonus XP and $$. At first glance the Springfield sign gives 4.5%, the most of any available item. So I thought that might be a good choice, until I worked the numbers a little bit. So with the example of the Springfield Sign giving 4.5% percent bonus for 170 dohnuts, I ran the numbers and wanted to see what I could get for 170 dohnuts with other items giving a bigger ROI. I ended up getting spending 170 dohnuts for the following items with a total of 10.5% bonus instead of just the 4.5% bonus for the Springfield Sign costing the same 170 dohnuts.... - Christmas 2013: Snoball 2 Snowcat
- Jet Engine Bike
- Devil Float
- Police Car
- Tire Fire
Below is a chart that shows the best ROI taking into account how many dohnuts the item cost vs. how much of a % bonus it gives you for all items. The ROI column is a numeric gauge for determining how good of a buy that item really is. The higher this number the better bang for you buck...errrr dohnuts....you get. If you are patient enough, it is very common for a Holiday Event Premium item to be low cost in dohnuts but high % of bonus. For example during the 2013 Halloween / Thanksgiving event there were some balloon characters that were 20 dohnuts and 2% bonus. During the Christmas 2013 event the Snoball 2 Snowcat was 20 dohnuts and 2% bonus. The one item that does not fit nicely in the chart below is the Open Air Stage. It costs 160 dohnuts but the Bonus earned depends on task completed. The HUGE advantage of this item (which makes it such a popular choice) is that it is a "Glitch item" which allows multiple handshakes to accumilate at one time by town visitors. Disclaimer: I did make some assumptions base on my observations of the game, for example if you got any % of a bonus over a whole number then it appears it will round up to the next number. For example if you really earned 12.25% you would then get $13 for every $100. The "Bonus for Every 100 XP or Money" column is based on the item by itself on the round up rule above. So if you had only Tree Swing, you would get $1 extra bonus for every $100 because it is 0.5% bounus which would be rounded up to $1. But if you had the Tree Swing AND the Tetherball, each at 0.5% bonus, that would add up to a total of 1% so you would still get only $1 for every $100. This chart also does not take into account how many new tasks (or not) may be generated by any individual items below.

Here is a tip....Want to know what total % of all your bonuses added up together currently earn is?
Write down your total cash amount. Then tap ONLY on the Gulp'N'Blow and collect that money. Now subtract your total cash from what you started with. Since you should have collected only $100 if you didn't have any bonuses, anything over $100 is your total % bonus. So if you collected $128 then you have a 28% bonus. If you collected $385 then you are earning an 285% bonus.

Doesn't the sub have some sort of bonus for 100 doughnuts I think. I didn't see it on your list, so just adding for completeness. Good chart though!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has a spreadsheet of these sort of things LOL

LOL....if you are good at spreadsheets, it is REALLY fast to figure things out with them compared to guessing or on a scratch piece of paper. I just so rarely use real $$$ for this game I wanted the best bang for the buck and with only $20 bucket worth of donuts.

When I finally spent donuts I was worried about the return. Then I realized I'd rather have stuff I wanted and/or really liked. This is a great chart for those that are trying to figure it out.

- RadioActive Man Billboard
- Knightboat
- Popcorn Stand

My main town is laid out the way I thought it "should be". In having so much more fun with my second town, but it's woefully underfunded. Thanks. This will help me decide where to splurge my few donuts.

Did any other items change to have a premium payout? I had a 44% bonus (or thereabouts) before the update, and I know the valentines day hammocks got a new 2% bonus (my three from last year taking me up to 50%). When I checked my bonus, I had a 60% bonus, so I'm not sure if they changed any other items and how I got the additional 10%. Do the Christmas trees now also have a bonus like the snake rocks?

JustForFunzo and Chrisp530 I will update this for the Valentines update. I will have to add several new items like the those you mentioned along with the Whale, etc... I will do a quit scan through and see if anything changed. If so, I will make a column for the old % bonus and the then the new one so we can see that difference. with work, it may take me a day or two....

I updated the OP with the Valentine's Day Event. It is interesting to note that even though the Whale gives a whopping 7% bonus it gives the least ROI (Return On Investment). but I still want it so much!

I don't see the grumple balloon in the list. I know there was some confusion as to whether or not it actually paid the 2% it says in the description. Anyone ever get to the bottom of that controversy?

billdva, Good Call!!!!!! I forgot all about those balloons. There are several others, the 3 Eye Fish, Itchy & Scratchy, Santa's Little Helper, etc... I will add as many as I have of them in my next update....probably with the St Patty Day update.

I know I don't have several "No Longer Available" items....many of which were before my time. If there are any other "No Longer Available" items, just post.... - The item's name
- It's Bonus %
- And if you can remember the limited time event it was available for
I will then include them in the next update.

Hope this helps.
