I've designed a background and banner where it's the opening clouds to give it more of a Simpsony feel. The Art Department has decided to put a poll up to see if you like the new design or the current design better.  UPDATE: Here's what a different Homer would look like:  |

I agree that the dark blue isn't very Simpson-y. Maybe if the background was also changed, maybe a light blue to go with the banner or something?
Alternatively, the clouds could continue down the background.

I like the light blue background and the clouds but not to keen on the Homer just standing there. Our Forum is More fun he should be doing something more Fun. that's just my suggestion:   |

I do like the idea of the banner updating each time a new update comes out, maybe with the unlock artwork of a character (or characters) released in each update.
Maybe have the characters and buildings, and possibly decorations, all laid out like a town, on a road etc. on one part of the banner at then the writing on the other part with the cloud background under it.

Remember this: The characters on top always change (IE Mother's Day), so any version of Homer would do.

I really like it. A lot more simpsony ( I realise that's not a word)  Make it pink and I will love it even more +1 Just kidding. I think it will look amazing whatever you guys create. I do agree that the dark blue doesn't match the simpsons theme as well as the new design.   |

I think that the whole background should change depending on holidays. For example:
Halloween - Greys, oranges, blood reds, use THOH credits style text in the banner
Christmas - Red, green, maybe some sort of snowflake design
New Years - Fireworks over the background
Valentine's - Pink, hearts
St. Patrick's Day - Green background, leprechaun in banner
Easter (if they ever release an Easter update) - light blues, Easter eggs, bunnies (or the topiary)
And then use the one @themeparks4life made for a default one, although with Homer is a better pose.

Hey @themeparks4life - How about a mockup "screenshot" of what the site would look like with the background and color scheme you have in mind. It's hard to agree to changing the entire site design based on just a banner.
