The freeze is less often now, but has happened again tonight. I have the latest IPad with the newest software. I called Apple this morning and they had the freezing on this board while a visitor. It happened to me, with no apparent cause, no matter what task I was trying to perform here.

i gotta use my plystaion just to visit the site. my ipod wont allow me to type a post. every time i touch the screen to bring up the keyboard it just highlight it and nothing happens. my iphone works great as soon as the page loads up but after a min or so it will freeze come back freeze then gives me half a screen and just gets stuck. My iPad did the same thing, so I used the computer for a bit. |

I have a lot more success with chrome, but it will occasionally freeze, just not as often as Safari. When it does I switch back to Safari, then back to chrome when it turns to custard.
It does take a little time Ricky, 5 minutes or so. More tabs open of this forum, scrolling fast the higher chance of a crash. Seems like a memory leak, keeps getting worse until it shuts it down.
I am on an Ipad 3, V 6.1.3
Will try the advice you have given now and report back.

Being in private browsing mode works a treat. Still no issues no matter how hard I push it.

Lol' in saying that, 30 sec after it crashed. Was viewing this thread here tstappedout.proboards.com/thread/2183/post-crunch-time-check-firstRapidly scrolled up and down. I had tried this earlier in the same thread when I had just switched to private browsing and it was fine. After a few post in separate threads things started to slow down a little, then when I went back into that thread and scrolled fast it crashed. Pushed the home screen button, then went back into safari, only for it to shut down and spit me back out to the home screen  |

Safari and chrome really bad atm, will do a full shutdown and come back

Safari crashed straight away after a shutdown and powerup, although I hadn't closed any apps.

Hello again!
I am noticing much improved stability this morning, however here are a couple of things I notice now:
1.) It seems to crash whenever I am in a thread (I have yet to have the problem when I'm on the "home" page for the forum)
2.) I seem to have it crash when I use the "Top of Page" and "Bottom of Page" links -- or when I move to fast down the page -- if I browse slowly, I can usually avoid the hanging
Again, I'm using Safari, iPad 3rd gen, iOS 6.1.3

A lot better today. Still kinda of a lag but haven't really froze yet. I think I am fine as long as I move around slowly.

Hi can someone help me please. My simpsons game has gone funky I aint bin able to play for a week. I go onto my game log in then it goes to the game an it freezes.

Thanks for the info, everyone. We haven't made any changes to the system in regards to this, so that's a little interesting that a couple of people noticed improvements today. There has been one other complaint on our support forum about the page 'flashing' on an iPad, which is a similar issue to some of the screenshots that have been provided here. I'll be doing some more vigorous testing today. Even if I'm still unable to re-create the issues myself, I'll be linking this topic to a developer to look into further as the screenshots provided are proof enough at this point that something is off.
I'll check back in with you all around noon Pacific Time on Tuesday to give an update on where we are with this. Thanks again!

EA needs to take tips from proboards. This is how u help people and keep them informed. Keep up the good work and hopefully fix these issues soon. Don't know why but my iPod is working fine but my iPhone still freezes from time to time.

Is anyone on another proboards forum? It would be interesting to see if its just this forum. This problem just started recently - maybe an update? I noticed my iPhone 4 is worse on 3G now... Can we revert to an earlier version?

On my iPad it freezes and doesn't load about every 5 minutes or if I scroll quickly. +1 Ditto. And i blamed the cat..and my isp. |

Out of curiosity, did anyone else have issues after posting??? For me that seemed to be the trigger, I tried to get it to crash by scrolling fast etc but it wasn't until I started posting that things started to go a bit Pete Tong.

This morning I had no issues. Since about 11:30am PST I have been getting a white screen every 2-3 messages. A refresh brings up the editing screen..
iPhone 4S, 6.1.3.
I cleared cache and reset phone when first happened.
