Weekly Photo Challenge
On the Cover of the Rolling StoneSpringfield has it's share of street performers. For this challenge gather as many as you can for a single group shot. POINTSLeader points: 15pts - 1st to post 10pts - 2nd to post 5pts - each additional poster Challenge points:10pts - for each visible musician. Bonus points:25pts - if you catch Smithers in his end of task boogie 25pts - for something creative to the theme (limit ONE per entrant) EXAMPLES: a stage set up, a venue, NEW! Judges points:5pts - for each visible street dancer or performer. Be creative, explain your answer. Judges decision is final. 10pts - to picture with closest collection of actions.* (i.e. how many musicians can you get in the smallest area) *To be determined at end of contest.Challenge ends: 2/24/2013 at 2:00pm EST. Winner announced: 2/25/2013 (whenever we get around to it)  And here are the results: Ranking:1st Place: Ankarstroom (180 points)

Ok, because I have a work project on the horizon but I wanted to participate in this I'm going to put my first ever attempt out there. I didn't adjust my Springfield or move my stuff around. Just straight forward  this is my first time, be gentle! ..sorry, forgot to explain my shot. I call it Lowdown and Dirty (they are most likely jamming on some bluesy type tune): Tony is playing the violin Lisa is playing the sax Willie is playing the bagpipes Nelson is playing the guitar Smither's is whipping it (c'mon looks like he belongs in the Village People!)  |

 Okay, I'm going to do mine in a story of sorts with the characters entering this contest in bold. That's extra extra points for going the extra mile right? I made up a story. Welcome to the school rave. One day, Bart was bored and decided to play hookey again since the teachers were on strike. He didn't realize that Principal Skinner was the mastermind. Principal Skinner created this rave so he could play with his train and charge admission for the rave AND train rides. The regular suspects were playing their jams on their guitars like Otto and Nelson. Willie joined in the jam with his bagpipes. Hearing the wonderful music, Luigi started playing his accordion and Martin chimed in with his lute. Since it was difficult to ignore the commotion, Hank joined in the fun by giving a demonstration on how to operate a flame thrower. He was about to throw some flames in the air when Devil Ned beat him to the punch and put on a show on the how-tos of devouring Homer as he walked by oblivious to what's going to happen because he was listening to some jams on his mypod. Delighted by what they saw, Smithers did his jig and Mr Burns clapped in excitement. Grampa was getting tired so he decided to watch what was going on while feeding the birds and got Cletus to whittle the entire scene. Hiding behind the Mayan God, Chief Wiggum was in disguise watching everyone and everything waiting for the right crime to happen to pounce....... I hope everyone enjoyed the story.  |

 Here's my entry. I call it "Tapstock"...!  (And to my neighbors, don't bother looking for this. It was done in an alternate Springfield I set up last fall during the time my main game was AWOL. My main town does not have Fat Tony as that promo happened when things were still FUBAR.) (Fat Tony is the only content my main Springfield doesn't have...  ) It probably goes against the idea of the contest (getting shots of the characters "in the wild"), but I only realized this after spending a lot of time getting the characters positioned how I wanted them. Smithers is whipping it, but instead of getting him in his boogie, I decided to go for Mel's whistle ending as that's a real instrument. Players: Martin on the lute. Tony on the violin. Otto on lead guitar. Nelson on rhythm guitar. Willie on the bagpipes. Lisa Simpson on the sax. Luigi on the accordian. Sideshow Mel on the slide whistle. Smithers on the bull whip. Moshpit: Kearny, Funzos, and the Krusty doll. Groupie: Ralph Revelers: Kent Brockman, Homer Simpson, Barney Gumbel (too much partying...) Disinterested people in attendance: Grandpa, CBG ("Worst. Concert. Ever.") Anyway, hope you folks like it! |

The scene: The Krusty roadshow, unfortunately the show didn't attract much of a crowd but at least they assigned Moleman (and Channel 6) to make a short film. Musicians: Otto jamming on the guitar Willie playing the bagpipes Martin on the lute Luigi on the accordion Fat Tony on the violin Cletus on his rhythm sticks Nelson playing the guitar Homer on the harmonica Edna whistling Fat lady vocalist Lisa on the sax Bumblebee man performing his knee clapping song
Street dancers/performers, the Krusty roadshow: Krusty juggling Sideshow Mel the human cannon ball Moe and his dancing panda Shauna and her talking goose Kearny dancing a jig (underneath that pile of cash) Millhouse making amazing model plane stunts Bart and his skateboarding tricks
And finally, Smithers do the boogie… (Im not sure the boogie makes up for the cash/xp clutter but bonus points are nice)

 Note, roads. *shudder* they are gone now. The horror. Homer was drunk stripping on the way home, and now Ned is making him dance to the band. Kang is grooving to the beat. We hav Otto on guitar, Martin on Lute, Tony on violin, and a Scottsman strangling cats. |

I captuted the following musicians:Martin on the lute Williew on his bagpipes Luigi on the accordeon Kang on the synthesizer Lisa on the sax (unfortunately behind Smithers who has his dancing shoes on and is all over the place) Nelson on his guitar Fat Tony on the violin Frink trying out his newest invention, a little acoustic saucer Performers:Smithers (as already mentiond dancing like crazy) Homer shaking that ass in front of Krusty juggling Ralph doing his signature dance and Duffman shaking it Other participants:Barney started the party early as usual and passed out already same wih Grampa, who turned down his deaf aid and takes a nice little nap on the bench Cletus whittling to the tune Burns, unimpressed Marge on strike since all this loud music is not her thing Santas Little Helper occasionally sniffing Fat Tonys butt since he is distracted Krusty Doll loving the music very much Funzo loooooving it as well and Burns Monster, again, unimpressed |
