A Bad Example, I usually just follow the link in the email, which opens in safari (the mobile site). Whenever I refresh messages in the app, I see the message there too, marked as read. If you don't open the message in a web browser, I don't think it clears the alert bubble in the app. If you open it in the app, the alert bubble goes away, but then comes back.

I find the app easier to read on the phone When it will show me my new PM's.

I'm not a fan of the app. I use it if I need to edit posts, but overall I regret the purchase.

I'm not a fan of the app. I use it if I need to edit posts, but overall I regret the purchase. See, and I've had trouble editing posts with it. I bought it as an experiment and liked it at first, but after about a week, I found that the inability to view embedded pictures and videos, inability to 'Like,' and difficulty with editing outweighed the things I liked about it. (Aside: why, dear Reader, why do I always type "thing" as "thong"? One of these days I won't spot and correct it before hitting Send. I am already experiencing anticipatory embarrassment...)

I regret the purchase as well. The way it bounces careens if you post something triggers a migraine. And the inability to consistently read new PM's ticks me off. And I you will be upset with me if I state my opinion of PM's I haven't read being marked as read. And I shall leave ou, with a thong in my heart.

Here is an announcement from the Proboards support team for anyone who is having issues with the Proboards App: Hi, I have verified the issue for v5 forums for both the iOS and Android versions of the app; there was an update pushed to v5 last night that is likely the cause. I have created a ticket for our developers to look into this issue further to put in a fix. With it being the weekend though, this unfortunately may not happen until Monday at the earliest. My apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime. Apparently this is a widespread issue that will hopefully be resolved early next week.

Issue has been repaired: Because of the scale of the issue, I have notified our system admins about to have the issue solved by tonight. We'll be sure to relay the info once it has been corrected. Updating to note that the logins should be working again now For all the app's shortcomings, they clearly have a very dedicated support team. Fixed overnight, and on a holiday weekend no less!

Tara it auto resizes images so they fit the screen on mobile, is that what you mean? I wish videos resized this way. If I'm on my phone and a page has a video I usually leave it because it becomes a pain to read anything on the page due to the video stretching it.

It means you have to keep scrolling across the page to read, and especially difficult to read since I have iPod touch. Is there anything mods can do bout this or is it a problem with proboards?

Tara it auto resizes images so they fit the screen on mobile, is that what you mean? No, when I first joined this forum I was using Firefox and I was able to re-size photos directly on the post page before creating the post officially. Now with Google Chrome I have to re-size them in Photobucket first if I want to make them smaller. It's no big deal really. I was just posting alot of pics in the "getting to know you" stage and tried to make them smaller. Now I don't care...y'all get what you get

Unfortunately, Spider Pig, this is an issue with ProBoards. We can do a lot with the main site, but once a user is viewing the Mobile version or using the App, it is out of our hands. The best I can do is submit a request to the developers and cross my fingers...

Spider Pig ...I don't know...like I said, when I was using Firefox as my browser I could re-size pics directly in the comment/reply box. Thought it was normal. But I got a new laptop and now use Google Chrome instead (I think Firefox introduced alot of suspicious virus-y content) and the next time I posted a pic this option wasn't there anymore. I think it was just browser specific. I don't use the Proboards App and rarely use the mobile version either. I primarily do forum stuff on my laptop, which goes with me pretty much everywhere...

ORIGINAL TOPIC: Read Posts Marked as New
Whenever I read a thread marked as new and return to the main board, those threads still show as new. If someone replies to a thread while I'm online, their post doesn't appear and it keeps it's new tag and "last post" time from when I logged in. I can mark as read, but it still doesn't refresh and show the new posts on top. This has been happening for about 2 weeks. The only way I can get it to refresh is to log out and back in. I'm using Safari on my iPad and I have set to allow cookies. I'm not sure what else I can try. Is this a proboards issue? Is anyone else having this problem?
