Hey man it takes a lot longer to level up if you don't build much. Start building extra brown houses, then purple and blue houses. Extra buildings also generate more stuff for friends to tap when you are away. There is like nothing to tap when I visit your Springfield because you have one of everything.

You can always store or sell buildings later.
