June Monthly Event: Wedding Bells June is one of the most popular months for weddings and lets face it, we're all a bit married to this game. So for this month, Pics and Recreation would like you to create a wedding ceremony scene in your town. Build your wedding scene and using one of the joint character tasks, show your "couple" getting married. Be creative! This does not need to be a traditional wedding; please explain what has brought these two people together on the joyous day. Please also have at least 12 guests at the wedding. The "guests" need to be on a visible outdoor task. They could be playing music, catering or asleep in the crowd, but they must be on task to count. And what wedding would be complete without lots of pretty flowers? Please include at least 20 separate flower decorations in your scene. Any individual flower or decoration with flowers on it is acceptable. To recap: - Create a Wedding scene
- Include two characters on a joint task "getting married"
- Include at least 12 "guests" to the wedding on task
- Include at least 20 flower decorations
- Write a brief description of the scene
Complete all these requirements and you will be awarded this awesome badge! This event ends on June 30, 2014

An Unusual Wedding This June there is a special kind of wedding in town. Suzanne the witch has had a premonition that if she married the one that can drink his weight in alcohol and still be able to eat 50 Krusty burgers that she would unleash a great power unlike no other. This seemed impossible to the witch, what kind of person could do that? She didn't give up though, if she was going to find him, she knew the only place he would be was Moe's Tavern. There were 2 possible candidates; Homer Simpson or Barney Gumble. They both drank unbelievable amounts of beer, but only 1 wanted Krusty burgers after while the other just passed out in the street. She had found her man! - Homer Simpson was the one in her premonition, but it wouldn't be so easy to marry him. First, he was already married, so Suzanne turned Marge into a witch so their marriage was void. There were also many requirements for the ceremony to unleash the power. 1. The ceremony had to be held in a cemetery, with the mans grave already dug. Check!2. There had to be atleast 5 skeletons hanging in the trees of previous victims. Check!3. There had to be a human sacrifice - check! - Thanks Booberella4. The vowels had to be read over a ground made of sugar Check! - thanks to Suzanne's gingerbread house5. No priests of holy men can step foot in the cemetery during the ceremony Check! - Suzanne cast a spell around the cemetery to prevent them from being able to enter6. There must be a ghost present Check!7. Suzanne must cast a spell on the man during the cemetery to disfigure him Too easy, Check! The Guests - Booberella - Not there by choice, but still there Maude - couldn't pass up playing a part in Homers demise Fat Tony - Playing some smooth violin Squeeky Voiced Teen - Handing out burgers to all the guests Ned - Handing out fliers to try and convince people to stop the wedding since he can't enter the cemetery Father Sean and Rev Lovejoy are also unable to enter the cemetery so they're circling, trying to find a way in. Dr. Nick - taking the opportunity to practice street medicine Comic Book Guy - misread the invitation and thought it was dress up Luann - Brought her own chair because the ones provided just wouldn't do. Brandine and McBain were in the middle of an intense game of paintball and couldn't take a break even for a wedding. Kumiko - Taking notes on the unusual wedding ceremony Krusty - Trying to get the attention back on himself Rich Texan - Celebrating, cowboy style. Arnie and Moe were both unable to find dates so brought the newshound and a panda instead. Dredrick Tatum - brought his tiger for protection against all the weirdos. Kirk - Handing out the reception information Edna - Finally approves of something and is showing it with a sign. Kearney, Selma, Smithers and Miss Hoover are already dancing, ready for the reception. Grumple - Brought a knife for protection, there are zombies there after all. At every wedding, there's always a few people that don't approve. Patty, Grampa, Dolph and Agnes aren't being shy about their disapproval. Any witch wedding wouldn't be complete with a few unusual guests, Leprechaun, Mayan God, Zombies and Robo Dog, just to name a few. Last, but not least, Sideshow Bob has even made an appearance, but having everyone after him has caused him to hide behind the Snow Monster all day. Only barely visible. Edit - oops didn't realise how long it was lol

So this is my scene. I have 2 couples and 1 in charge First couple is CBG and Agnes. They get married although their task isn't named as a date anymore. The 2nd couple was married and found their rest next to the church. The couple in charge is Nedna, but Rex Banner wants to know if Flanders really wants to marry Edna. Legs and Lui interrogate a squealer and want him to never ever tell anyone the truth about their relationship. Sea Captain and Rich Texan celebrate the love. Father Sean has a new wedding rap. And the rest is just watching. Hope that qualifies for the badge!

Kang and Kodos are having a alien melding ceremony on the beach. Comic book guy has been given the honour (due to his love of cosplay) to oversee the event. Fat Tony is providing the music while Homer attempts to sing along. Agnes, Grampa and Dolph aren't really bothered but the occasion and Moe wasn't invited so he's hiding behind a bush. Patty and fruit batman have been chosen to be witnesses while Kent and Mindy are more interested in working on their tans. ( They're getting hitched tomorrow). Patty and Sharry Bobbins are bopping away attempting to provide some sort of entertainment. Barney has of course passed out but Ralph is loving running rings around him. A one cannon salute was fired and Arnie is reporting that sideshow Mel may well be in need of medical attention. All round a lovely day for the happy couple.

Well, my wedding is Rod and Todd. Now if you don't watch the Simpsons regularly you might have missed this from Season 25 "The Man Who Grew Too Much" (At the church entrance, Marge's look through the church bulletins that is taken) Marge: Bake sale-- taken. Candle snuffing-- taken. Baby shusher, miscellaneous choir support. Everything's taken! All that's left is... Ned: Teen abstinence counseling. You get to pass out abstinence pledges and make sure the kids sign their John Han-bleeps. Marge: But, Ned, saying nay is your thing. Ned: Not this month. Edna signed us up for a tango class. It was the only way I could avert... wine-tasting. Marge: Look, I'm really not comfortable talking about S-E-X with K-I-D-S. Reverend Lovejoy: (walking passby) Language. Ned: Oh, it's not that hard. Just tell them that God wants them to ignore everything in their bodies that God is making happen. Todd: We took the pledge! Rod: We won't have sex until we're married! Todd: To each other! (Rod and Tod are skipping out together as they humming tune happily) Ned: Mm, their skipping lessons are really paying off. Well as you can see Rod and Todd have decided to have their ceremony on a lovely see-saw. A true representation of life's up and downs with the teamwork being the key to making it through. Comic Book Guy is officiating. Moleman is filming the service. Lovejoy is walking by trying desperately not to look over. Snake is heading to the parking lot for easy smash and grab. Lenny is moping in his loneliness. Kumiko is handing out wedding programs. Kang is working on the sound system. (seriously, how many weddings have you been to with terrible sound? Like every single one right?) Rex Banner as snuck off with a snack from the reception. And Kent Brockman is starving and hoping to get a bite. Gil can't get away from the scene fast enough. The Rich Texan is all guns-a-blazing for the happy couple. And lastly, though hidden in part by O'Flanagan, Nelson is classically "ha-ha"ing the entire thing.

A Stonecutter Wedding The Hibberts have decided to renew their marriage vows at the Stonecutter Lodge, but asking the Sea captain to perform the ceremony may have not been the best idea. Although they did plan ahead and ask Farther Sean to be on hand in case they needed him. Reverend Lovejoy is not happy about no been asked so he’s brought along his dog to disrupt the proceedings. The plan to have an open bar before the ceremony has got the Hibberts arguing about how many drunks should be allowed at the wedding. Marge as finally found #908 who has been missing for days and is even more drunk than #36 and #50 #600, #85, #29, #21, #111, #22, #12, #14’ #66, #314, #79, #67 and#5 are all just waiting for the ceremony to begin. Ned is just condemning all the people who weren’t invited but just turned up to get drunk. Edit: Okay forget #29 and #66, they must have walked off the other way when they came out of the Daycare centre, because they are not in the picture (they still better have bought the Hibberts a wedding gift).

GAY MARRIAGE LEGAL IN SPRINGFIELD! Well its's about damn time. Betcha didn't know Legs and Louie were an item? Well either did Fat Tony. When they broke the news to their boss, Tony squealed like a little girl and clapped his hands. Wedding planning is his legitimate business! That's why he has a club. Sure, they serve drinks and play poker at night, but during the day Tony meets with lovestruck couples planning floral arrangements and music selections. Of course Tony offered up the compoud for their venue. After the moving ceremony, guests can mingle at the club for drinks, with dinner being served at Luigi's. An intimate honeymoon has been planned for the happy couple in Italy,I hear. With Legs and Louie getting married doing what they love best, interrogating, and the Captain officiating, of course. Tony himself was playing Canon in D, with Willie on the pipes as backup. The Tribal Chief is handing out programs, and Mayor Quimby is bringing his present. Moe is in attendance in his finery and has never looked better, but he's just trying to impress Marge. Drederick Tatum is classing up the joint with his tiger, at the request of Fat Tony. Brockman is undercover, looking for a story, but the only dirt he's gonna find is that Rex Banner brought his own food along. Really Rex? Snake is always scouting, he's gonna go rifle through the gift table while the cakes being cut. Good thing McBain is doing security for this wedding, keeping the riff-raff out. This is a classy mob wedding after all. Patty and Grandpa are enraptured at the love they see before them. And passed out drunk really. They served really good champagne before the ceremony began. And Apu, well he's just damn proud to be an American, to witness 2 people in love commiting themseves to each other. Go 'Merica! You're getting there.

My entry is pretty simple! I had almost forgot and I really, really wanted this badge! Kanga and Kodos are exchanging long protein strings which really, is just to do alien stuff, but to the Springfielders it looks like some kind of kinky wedding. So the ENTIRE has turned out to see, and to join the celebrations. Tatum is running, Selma (I think) is sleeping on benches, Hank Scorpio is burning bugs with flame throwers, or and Ned and Lovejoy are reaching to the heavens and handing out their pamphlets. Shari is singing, the twins are texting, Mr. Burns is riding his lawyer (literally), Agnes is feeding the pigeons, our loyal Boys in Blue are patrolling to make sure that Bart and Lisa don't whip out their skateboards. Cat Lady is throwing cat-fetti, Lenny is moping! and Carl is even pogoing! Dr Nick is offering a wedding discount! There are two primary groups/lines that the residents cycle through....they wait to buy flowers to offer at the receiving line, but the protein-gobbling aliens don't want chlorophyll matter, and crush it into the ground, so the Springfield residents return to the flowers shop, and then they'll find a bench to sit on and wait until Father Sean finishes his daily motorcycle ride and can conduct the ceremony... ..........and then an exorcism to make Maude Flanders shut the hell up.
I hope my pic is good enough for the badge, and submitted in time before the end of the deadline!! *crosses fingers* (Edit: just the ones I wrote about are 18...which is more than 12! yay! *makes badge-grabby-motions* ---------------------- On the down side, now I have to re-pave all the damned roads in Springfield!! So, c'mon happy Forum Bosses, what is our exciting July event??? )

Selma Terwilliger-Hutz-McClure-Stu-Simpson-D'Amico (née Bouvier) has finally had it with men. She has decided to marry her long-time companion, Jub-Jub the iguana. Iguanas may not be known for their cuddliness, but Selma is not known for being particularly fussy in her choice of mate. This union may just stand the test of time unlike her previous relationships. The scene is post-nuptial, with many of the guests drunk or drinking. The Stonecutter's Lodge grounds served as the wedding location because it was also convenient for the reception and the Stonecutters are good at organizing legally suspect events. Many of Springfield's animals attended (on the groom's side of course), as did several of Selma's former husbands and boyfriends. The Stonecutters are all their in their robes, many of them just meandering around after several tankards of ale. Fat Tony, Lisa, Sherri and Terri provide the music. Marge and Manjula are walking their babies around trying to get them to nap so they can also have a few drinks. Bart is riding Stampy, who got his trunk into the malt. The Devil Flanders is displaying his wrath. Patty and Mrs. Krabappel, as well as Mr. Myers, are all enjoying a smoke. Mr. Largo attempted to get the musicians together but wound up conducting without an orchestra. Reverend Lovejoy is protesting in his way, by having his dog piss all over the place. Father Sean officiated the wedding and now walks around with a microphone rapping about big butts and popping tags. Agnes sits alone on a bench feeding pigeons in disbelief but secretly has her eye on Number 1. Homer, the Alien, Wiggum and Krusty are all at the long table still drinking. Bumblebee Man has already had enough. Tom O'Flanagan is clearing beer mugs as he finds them around the scene and wiping them discretely to be used again. The Blue-Haired Lawyer disapproves of this whole arrangement. Hans Moleman is the wedding videographer. The Crazy Cat Lady is throwing cats in protest - her marriage license was denied for some reason. Apu knows the Fourth of July is almost here and has gotten an early start on Displaying his Patriotism. Barney was already passed out in the gutter before the ceremony started, and Bernice Hibbert is well on her way. Finally, Nelson is HaHa-ing at the whole absurd scene.

OKAY my union: Bart and Stampy -Bart just enjoyed Stampy SO much he HAD to make it official. Attendees: Grandpa- Of course he was going to be there even if he DID think the boy was a cook for marrying an elephant so he distracted himself by feeding the birds. Comic Book Guy- he had to witness this odd union for himself, and he was of course in his Sunday best! Homer- Though his attendance was more to show off him being The Chosen One, he did still make an appearance. Willie- Never misses an opportunity to play his bagpipes! Wolfenstein- Used the union as an excuse to show off his muscles to all the other guests. Ned- Completely against an ungodly union between man and beast, Ned didn't even intend on being seen and though he'd disguise himself in his workout gear. Mr.Burns- had no choice but to attend considering he ran out of breath at this point of his exercise. Chief Wiggum - keeping the rowdy guests from getting a bit to drunkedly unruly. Agnes- cleaning up the streets of all the random rice, bubbles, and elephant dung. Selma- Decided that hula dancing in the middle of town wouldn't seem as odd at a wedding even if it WERE an elephant. Cletus- carving an elephant trunk or a banana...or something for the happy couple. Louie- accidentally caught on camera in the middle of exporting some cash.
