Photo Challenge 15: Alternative Transportation  Duff Dawg recently came up with the idea of having a photo challenge based around characters using methods other than walking to move around our towns. And by came up with the idea, I mean that he burst into the P&R office and blurted out "Alternative Transportation", then ran out of the room screaming, as Fraggle was waving a baseball bat and yelling "how many times do we have to tell you to stay out?" But, let's face it, our Springfielders are getting tired of walking, and alternative transportation is a great idea. Thanks to the infinite wisdom of their creators, our characters are saddled with oversized cars and undersized roads. But some residents have found ways to travel around Springfield by using other methods. We want you to gather as many characters exhibiting some form of alternative transportation as you can in one screenshot. As always, there's more. With all of these characters zipping and zooming around our sidewalks, our towns need someone to help keep everyone safe. Who better to help keep Springfield's sidewalks safe than Civil Servants and Parents. So, in addition to your characters on transportation tasks, we want you to gather as many characters that are parents and civil servants as you can in that same screenshot. Any character who is a police officer, government worker, security guard, or parent will count. Be careful! Any characters in your screenshot that, are either not on a transportation task, and/or not a civil servant/parent, will not count, and you will lose 10 points for each disqualified character Finally, create a scene For this challenge, since the main objective is based around transport, we want you to create a Car Show scene. 20 points will be awarded automatically if the scene follows the general instructions and is cohesive. See the point system below for what your scene should include Point System:10 points for every character on an alternative transportation task (Must be on task to count! No walkers!) *Tandem/Joint Tasks will only count as 1 task and will be awarded 10 points TOTAL, not 10 points for each character(i.e. Smithers/Burns on the bike would only be 10 points, not 20)*10 points for every character that is a civil servant or parent (Characters who have job specific tasks to be included in this category must be on those tasks for them to count. Also, if it's not obvious that your character is a parent, proof may need to be provided) ***Parents will be counted as long as the characters have children in the show. Proof may be required***-10 points for any character in the scene that is not on a transportation task/parent/civil servant 20 points for creating a cohesive scene
10 points for every UNIQUE, stationary vehicle you have in the scene. Only vehicles that count as decorations, and not those that appear when certain characters are on tasks will count. Up to a maximum of 120 points. Additional points will not be awarded for duplicate vehicles.
Submit one screen shot and one screen shot only, no stitching, to PnR Submissions
DO NOT post your submissions in this thread. Any submissions posted in this thread will not count
In the event of a tie, P&R will come up with a method for determining the winner.
You have until May 23th at 11:59 EST. to submit your entry. The winner of the contest will receive this shiny new camera badge!

Thanks for reminding me, I meant to add in a note that, similarly to the Family Photo challenge last fall, if you can prove they have children in the show(for the less obvious ones), then they will count as parents. |

Just a small, minor announcement
Cool Lisa on the skateboard will not count for this contest. If an update happens after a contest has already been announced, then those new characters/skins aren't eligible.

I've never participated in any of the contests, but I had been chomping at the bit for the longest to submit something for Forumfield. When the LZ contest came, I started putting something together before work got to me. Then, Easter started and I had no mojo left to even attempt putting something together for the next two. |

Yeah, I'm burned out from doing a lot of monthly challenges, full-town rebuild, and Easter. I really wanted to try for one of these, but I am so afraid of all the other older forumites who are more experienced with town design, etc!

Just a small, minor announcement Cool Lisa on the skateboard will not count for this contest. If an update happens after a contest has already been announced, then those new characters/skins aren't eligible. Will points will be deducted if she is included? If I can't get back into my town I will have to use a screenshot I took before I saw the above small, minor announcement, and that screenshot will include Cool Lisa. |

He restated this when stating Cool Lisa didn't count. Items released after contest is announced do not count for the contest. I'm not in P&R, but I think adding it might count against you like extra characters. |

I awoke suddenly from a deep sleep to the realization that I included someone I shouldn't have. This really was a big challenge, took many waking hours, and it has infiltrated my dreams too? I need to move on.
