Do you find making panoramas of your town to be time consuming or just plain hard? Does paint fail to line up your screenshots every single time? Is PhotoShop one of the main antagonist in your life?
Spanser has recently launched a website called Tapped Out Social ExpAnsion. On this website you create an account, like any other website, but after some fumbling and clicking around you are introduced to an area called "Your Towns" and "Favorites." What do you do here? Well, I'm glad you asked. Here, you can import your town(s) directly from Origin. Your Origin information is in no way, shape, or form stored on the website. You will need to be reentered every time you want to update your town. What happens after that? Something magical and amazing. Your town is imported and a scrollable panoramic image is made of your town. Please keep in mind that this is still in beta mode, so glitches are expected to occur and changes are going to happen.
Under "Favorites" you will see of list of towns that you have gone through and favorited on the site. I've taken to using this area to store my friend's towns so I can glance at them at my leisure.
So, what will you see when you arrive at the website? The first thing you'll see is the homepage which has information on the site's progress. Click on "Sign Up" and fill out the form to get started.
After you log up or sign in, you'll notice a string of icons on the right side of the page.

This icon takes you to the home page. Going here will result in pages of members who have already signed up and imported their towns on to the website. You can rate towns, or favorite them, here. Currently, there is no easy way to search for members, so going through all of the pages will be the only way to find someone you are looking for without direct access to their tsto.me panorama. The blue "S" stands for Springfield and the yellow "K" stands for Krustyland. Clicking on these will take you to the member's respective area of their town.
Clicking here will take you to a news page where Spanser releases all of the most current information on the site concerning updates and such.
Clicking here will take you to a list of your towns and your favorite towns. To import a town of your own, click on the blue plus sign under "Your Towns." Enter your Origin information here, and let the website do all of the work for you by bringing your town in and turning it into a panorama. You can delete the town by clicking the trash can, or obtain the links for the town by clicking the icon that looks like two chain links.
Clicking here will bring up a pop up window for you to edit your account's information.
Clicking on this will log you out. |
A thread is available in the "Find Friends" section of the forum where you can post links to your town's panorama. Please note that other than signatures, this is the only area we would like for you to post your tsto.me links.
Please note the above is not an official endorsement by TSTOForum or its Staff for the website being explained. It is simply an introduction to a website that I feel may benefit some members of the forum in some way. TSTOForum still heavily maintains it's "no advertisement" policy when it comes to advertising other websites on the forum.
