Updated 2-27-2014 for the update A lot of times when you first start playing TSTO game and visiting the forums, you will find that for the most part most don't care too much what you tap when you visit their town while you might see some people talking about "good taps" and "bad taps" when a someone visits their towns. So the question natually follows, "What is a good tap and bad tap when visiting other towns?" Basically when you visit a neighbor's town, your taps pays you the same no matter what you tap....but what you tap during your visit can make a helpful difference for your neighbor. Here are some of the best ways you (or your neighbor's) profit most from visitors: BEST TAPS- With the new update, the old glitches are gone....but you still can help out a neighbor by tapping on their SP Tile or their crop to renew it before it dies.
- Other than that, the one of the best things you can do is Grafiti their town! That's right. When they clean it up, they then get some bonus from you!
- Long Time To Pay Building / High Pay Buildings: When you tap on a building you reset the timer for the that building for its next payout. So if a building paid out every 24 hours, and you tapped on it at 1pm the clock resets. Then if your neighbor didn't tap on it until noon the next day, since you reset their building's clock, they it will pay out 1 hour later at 1pm instead of another 24 horus after your nieghbor tapped on it.
NOT AS GOOD TAPSSince tapping on a nieghbor's building reset's the pay out clock for that building, if you tapped on the Simpson's House you only reset a 2 or 3 min payout clock that only pays out a few bucks. Not much benefit for your nieghbor. These include Simpson's House, Flanders, Brown Houses, etc... EVENT TAPSNow when a Holiday event comes along the visitor gets the event currency (i.e. GOO, gift cards, easter eggs, etc..) for "Most" of their taps. But the glitches and some highpay out or long pay clock buildings do not pay the event currency. For example the Stage, News 6, IceSkating Rink, Shopping Mall, etc... do not pay any gift cards. So most visitors would rather tap on low paying buildings for the neighbor so you can get the event currency....even if this means tapping the least profitable for your neighbor...the Simpson's house.

Is the tile tap glitch still working? I thought they fixed it. If they haven't I need to know so I can look for the tile! I think many of us maxed out and got "locked out" from taking advantage of that one anymore. Buy I still have some lower level players in my list working on SP.

I tried the multi tap after update on Channel 6 and the farm. Neither got more than one finger up. I've got multiple towns, so it's not hard to do.

I can confirm that the Squidport tiles can still accumulate multiple taps from neighbors. Thanks, neighbors!

There have been a few neighbors with tiles up. I'm trying to remember to go there for one of my taps. HobbesIsReal , are you getting multiple taps on your channel 6? I had mine up a few times (I don't really care if people tapped it though-I have millions) but I never got more than one tap like A Bad Example , so I don't think that works either. Good to know the tiles do though. My second town can make use of that if I can get some more tile neighbors.

I think suggesting “best tap“ is like searching the holy grail. There'll never be an answer. Some like their long-time buildings reseted others have a straight log-in time table and want their brown houses, KEM's and simpson house be tapped.

During the day I log in all day pretty much or at least once every 1-4 hours. So there isn't, uch to tap in my town. But if it helps neighbours get their gift cards and their lersonal prizes I don't give a damn what they tap there is no use having a whine about it lol. I could only get two handshakes on my SP in the past so I clear it often too. My corn is going to be finished soon so I am going to hint at my neighbours to please, please please tap that

I don't care either way now, but for most of my time playing this game, I preferred people tap buildings that I wouldn't normally collect from, like the Simpson House, Brown House, etc., and the graffiti buildings, of course. I think it was slightly OCD-ish, wanting to tap all the same payout buildings at the same time. But yeah, that was a personal preference, and one that I didn't follow when visiting neighbors.

I lost my tile glitch with this update as it says I am now maxed out....I am currently growing corn.....but yes the News6 works. Your tap the other day was my 4th stacked handshake. Thank-you for that! So......how about a loan?

Since there is nothing to buy in this game (I have what I want: the escalator to nowhere and the cubic zirconia ring), I'd gladly share with you, if ea would let me. (And my poor side town too.) I'll keep tapping if it's working for you. If my side town ever makes it to the part where it lets me build squid port, I'm going to send you a friend request. But I'm lazy and only check it twice a day. So who knows when that will be.

lynstace, thank you very much, It has been helping helping a ton. Much appreciated since I'm now trying to expand my footprint out. No worries, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are family days. My mother in law goes to Xmas eve mass at 11 and then we have tamales when she gets home, and unwrap the presents, otherwise I wouldn't be up at past 3am. So merry Christmas to all! P.s. I just checked your town, I thought you had stage and 6 before, but I didn't see them ready. Next time maybe

patryn99, I have the stage going again, but not ready yet. We had fajitas and queso yesterday. Ugh, I can't spell today. Today is a quiet day and we did Christmas yesterday as a family member is in the hospital. I will do my visiting in a bit. Have a peaceful day!, Lynne.

Though it's good to tap buildings with longer reset times, please. If you tap Krabapples, tap Burns Manor also as they both take two days to reset. That is all.

Just wanted to add that during the Christmas event, you can tap a neighbor's holiday tree(s) or their egg-nog bar. Both payout the normal 10 giftcard payout and reset their timers for your neighbor.

Sure Thing.....I need to just stop and take some time to clean out some deadbeat neighbors....but send an invite whenever you are ready. Now I have the Stage and News6 (with Corn growing), I need to start thinking about a side town too.

Okay....now with the new update...I had to totally rewrite the original post....but to make sure we don't loose the original post in case we every get any of the glitches back here it is....if nothing else for brettolmsted, our forum historian as he may try to document the lost "Age of the Glitches" A lot of times when you first start playing TSTO game and visiting the forums, you will find that for the most part most don't care too much what you tap when you visit their town while you might see some people talking about "good taps" and "bad taps" when a someone visits their towns. So the question natually follows, "What is a good tap and bad tap when visiting other towns?" Basically when you visit a neighbor's town, your taps pays you the same no matter what you tap....but what you tap during your visit can make a HUGE profitable difference for your neighbor. Here are some of the best ways you (or your neighbor's) profit most from visitors: BEST TAPS- The Glitches: These are items that multiple visitors can tap on and the taps accumilate in a stack of handshakes so they can get multiple payouts, one for each handshake. This includes the Port Tile, The Farm Crop, The Stage, and News 6. So if you took the time to grow Corn (90 days to grow) you will get $45,000 for each handshake.
To learn more about glitches then read Brett Ho-Ho-Ho-Olmsted's Guide to Glitches (Tiles, Stage, Farm, TV6) - Long Time To Pay Building / High Pay Buildings: When you tap on a building you reset the timer for the that building for its next payout.
