How to earn gift cards quickly (with daily chart)

In order to get all your prizes, you'll need to get 30,000 gift cards. Now you're probably thinking, "How will I get that many by January 7?!?!" It's easier then you think.

Get as many friends as you can. You can earn 30 gift cards a day from each neighbor, and if you have the max limit of 100 friends, you'll be able to earn 3,000 a day from neighbors alone!

Same here. With Halloween I was one day ahead of the chart, but with this one I am two days ahead maybe might be three, which is great cause it would be less stress on me to worry about if I will finish in time or not.

Currently have about 11k gift cards. I was way ahead on Halloween, so much so I stopped diligently visiting my neighbours after a while. Will probably do the same after unlocking Costington's; the prizes for going beyond the limit will become useless a lot more quickly here, once I've gotten all the unique items.

Something has been bothering me with this.

You should be running the totals through 1/6 as the event can end at any point on 1/7. And there is no actual instructions for how to earn the gift cards.

I'm about 1 day ahead of the pace atm, which I want to keep so that I can have a day off on Christmas day.

Though despite the fact I should be doing things with family, having Christmas dinner and other festive stuff, I probably will still find myself being on tapped out.

I've noticed that the Other Springfield is (approximately) at the amount needed today. Has it been moving up inline with the pace or has it always been on 17,800?
