It does not matter whether you collect turkey's in your town or a neighbors. Thanks to Beemer for finding this out. If you find a neighbor that has a turkey roaming, you don't need to visit more than their town to get your 10 turkeys. To do this: Tap the turkey. Wait for the feathers to disappear. Go back to your town. Repeat. If you are neighbors with one of my Bad Example towns, the birds will be roaming either the road section or in Squidport. I will only be popping them by accident. Update: when Lisa finishes her 10th turkey call, all un-needed turkeys vanish from your town.

I've found turkey's in other peoples towns, when I tap them they jump, and that's it...I don't get credit for them. I was only able to tap one turkey in someone else's town, and make it disappear, and get credit for it....

That turkey that jumps is the NPC Turkey you receive for finishing the Thanksgiving Questline, meaning those friends have already completed it.

Then you can visit same neighbor, and get another credit for tapping a turkey. Gong back to the friends list apparently doesn't synch the game at the moment; and you need to do that.

is there any point to getting turkeys from a neighbors town? You still have to do the 10 tasks for Lisa, each of which produces a turkey in your own town

Finding the things in some towns is a real pita.
So knocking this out means you just need to send Lisa on her task.

A Bad Example , thank you so much for the tip! Your turkeys were all hanging out at Squidport so it was like shooting fish in a barrel. Now my OCD can rest a bit more easily as I complete the Lisa task.

A Bad Example, thanks for the tip! That made it easy. Does that mean it's polite to leave turkey's unpopped in my town, too? I mean, there's no benefit to popping them now, I suppose, is there? +1

fspj, since there's no reward for popping the turkeys, it seems unlikely there's a penalty for leaving them unpopped.

Short version for TDP: Does it help neighbors? Searching snakes, ghosts and turkeys sucks!

Also is that Ariel in the bottom right corner in one if your towns, if it is that's amazing, good work!

Or will donut skipping thru Lisa's 10 calls let me avoid this whole thing?

Or will donut skipping thru Lisa's 10 calls let me avoid this whole thing? You can donut rush the 10 calls, but you still have to search around for and collect the Turkeys. If you're gonna donut rush it, you're better off just looking for them in your own town, than trying to find them in your neighbors.

That's how I did it. But I do think they eventually disappear, or at least that's what the pop up message said.

LOL, I didn't rush it, but finally tracked down all those pesky turkeys and the prize? A turkey that just wanders around and gobbles and ruffles it's feathers when you tap on it. Big woo!
