No disrespect was intended to any administrator or moderators. Please do not delete. Yes, folks, rather than work inside my thread for this time of year, I've decided to spin off. I will be posting updated building and decor designs for the Treehouse of Horror episodes so everyone may create their own unique Halloween zones while frantically smashing ghosts, gremlins and the occasional robo-dog and Funzo that get in the way. There may be some cut and paste, but I will be updating what I can. Enjoy!

Treehouse of Horror Airdate: October 25, 1990 Episode #7F041st appearances: Springfield Cemetery, Bad Dream House, Ancient Burial Ground, Kang, Kodos, Serak the Preparer, The Raven Gotta love a challenge and this episode certainly is. Except for the Cemetery, Kang and Kodos, nothing in this episode is in continuity with the show and does not need to be in our Springfields. However, fans of the show, the folks who got the decors for Halloween and completists like myself simply can't resist finding homes for them. So, I'll do the best I can with the proviso that, save for the Cemetery, nothing has a fixed location and it is entirely up to you where to place them. Springfield Cemetery: The opening pan of the episode had the cemetery across the street from the Simpsons house with the entrance facing down and a street running in front. My Cemetery is currently at the lower left of my map (beachside view too, people are just dying to get in there). Bad Dream House: Cool home, good payout, but mother of mercy, a BEAR to find a home for. Since I have an Evergreen Terrace neighborhood next to Springfield Elementary and we have had references in past episodes to a scary house looming over the school ( Psycho reference for the unwashed masses), I just dropped BDM to the right of the school near its upper right edge. The Burial Ground is supposed to be under the house, but without 3D building and a lot of space, that will not work out. So, I have placed the Grounds to the left of BDM with it oriented so the steps going down into the Grounds are against the House. Place some Dead Trees at the lower left corner, top middle and middle right edges of the House to complete the property. Kang's Crashed Ship: This is the biggest bear of them all since we have not seen the ship crash, as yet. Mine currently occupies a junkyard space near the bottom right of my map. Obviously, Kang's Cookbook Reading, Seasoning and Evil Laugh jobs all come from the episode as well. And if you happened to miss Kang last Halloween, you now have a chance again in addition to adding Kodos. Oh, and the alien himself, Kang: The Raven:

Treehouse of Horror II Airdate: October 31, 1991 Episode #8F021st Appearances: Jack O'Lantern, Algerian Gift Shop, Camel, Luxury Car, Gilded Truffle, Mammogram Billboard, United Nations, Pentagon, Johnson's Shrimp and Crab House, Candy Most Dandy (renamed Candy Town?), Dave's Donuts, Rags for Less, The Horseradishery, Semi-Painless Dentistry, Purple House, Flanders Castle, Jack-in-a-Box Homer, Open Grave, Robo-Homer, Johnny Carson, Two-Headed Homer-Burns. The Jack-O-Lantern, the only two 'required' places are in front of the Simpsons House and under the window of Bart's Treehouse. I swore I saw the Hanging Skeleton Tree in this episode, but it is escaping my eyes at the moment. Gilded Truffle: Place near downtown with the entryway facing down for now. (Mine faces left-right for spacing reasons right now.) Purple House: Place to the left of the Orange House across the street from the Flanders. Decorate as you will for now. We're still sadly lacking stuff from this episode but, there is, of course, next year.

I'm dreading the reviews, I can tell you that. - Burns, King Homer, Treehouse of Horror IIITreehouse of Horror III Airdate: October 29, 1992. Episode #9F04. 1st Appearances: House of Evil, Talking Krusty Doll, Bottomless Pit, Krusty Co. Repairman, King Homer, Dinosaur, Springfield Pet Cemetery, Mausoleum, Zombies. The episode also includes what may be a reference for the Lisa Statue of Liberty and does have Martin's Trick or Treat task. Louis is seen wearing a Frankenstein's Monster costume which may have been co-opted for Bart's Trick or Treat task. Lisa Statue of Liberty: And let debate commence. I have not seen Lisa as the Statue of Liberty anywhere else in the series so far, so it would appear it would originate here. The real fun is, since we have no root, placement is difficult. I have just left mine on the edge of my Squidport until I can think of something else. Up to you on this one. House of Evil: Here is where flexible reality works to our advantage. If you have the building, of course. It is seen wedged between two brick facade buildings, including what appears to be a Bank on the right. Since we do not have a Bank in game, as yet, any brick facade buildings will do. I have been amazingly liberal with House of Evil, moving it all around my town. Currently, it is one of the buildings next to the future home of my Wax Museum, but I have also had it next to the Android's Dungeon and The Aztec. This one, it is up to you. Go nuts. Talking Krusty Doll: This episode completes the Springfield Cemetery complex, complete with Springfield Pet Cemetery and Mausoleum. Just plact to the right of your existing Cemetery and you're done. We're waiting with bated breath to see about King Homer, so please stand by on that one. And go smash some stuff while we wait, we need the Goo!

I have such a huge forumy crush on you and your guides, mattperiolat! Oops, I ruined the mood. Ummmm, THOH quote, uhhh.... "Oh my god! Matt! He's been crushed. And so have the hopes of our Mathletics team." Not the same kind of crush, but it's the best I could do under pressure.

Treehouse of Horror IV Airdate: October 28, 1993. Episode #1F04. 1st Appearances: Devil Flanders skin, Judge of the Damned, Benedict Arnold, Lizzie Borden, John Wilkes Booth, Blackbeard, John Dillinger, The Starting Line of the 1976 Philadelphia Flyers, Homer Donut Skin, Gremlin, Moleman's Gremlin Car, Uter, Vampire Burns skin, Zombie Smithers skin, Vampire skins for Bart, Milhouse, Ralph, Janey, Martin, Homer, Marge, Grandpa, Maggie. Episode also features visable tasks (Show his Wrath and Sign Up Clients) for Devil Flanders. Devil Flanders: Devil Flanders - Sign Up New 'Clients': Devil Flanders - Show his Wrath: I love this episode. This and next year's are probably my favorite Treehouse episodes. And there is so much EA can do with this episode, it's stupid. EA must have been listening as Gremlins are now infesting our towns and I am racing to unlock Vampire Burns. That being said, there are still holes, Uter, for example. He would be a great addition just all around, especially since there is a real desire for more kids in the game. And no, I am not going to sit on the game trying to grab that perfect screenshot of a Gremlin. Sorry, no.

Treehouse of Horror V Airdate: October 30, 1994. Episode #2F03.
1st appearances: Lodge, Hedge Maze, Ghost skin for Moe, Mr. Peabody, Sherman, Dinosaurs, Giant Sloth, Walking Fish, Oktoberfest skins for Skinner and Edna, Hamilton Beech Student Chopper, Inside Out skins for Homer, Lisa, Bart, Marge and Willie.
Aside for being able to free form a hedge maze, nothing from this episode has been included yet. I still hold out hope for Uter, maybe even next year time related quests for Homer, but he has a 24 hour task where he has his hand stuck in a toaster.
A guy can dream, right? Right?
*mutters* I dunno.

Well, if you have not been following along in the main thread, I am having a serious problem with my iPad version of TSTO and it's ability to stay connected to the servers. It crashes out within seconds of connecting, so it severely handicaps my ability to play. The good news is my iPhone is able to connect and I can continue to tap away. But there is no way I can decorate as precisely as I would like on a 4s size screen.
So, for now, I have to stop my decor threads until either a.) the iPad connection improves, maybe after Halloween or b.) I get a new iPad. I have no idea when the new iPad would come but given what I would need to save up for it, I would not expect it until sometime in the new year, assuming I can get through the holiday season and obtain a permanent over seasonal job.
I really want to apologize to everyone reading this. I'm a perfectionist and even Acts of God like this make me feel like I have let people who support me down. I can only say I will do what I can to come back better and stronger than ever in time.
Until then, keep tapping.

Th iPad problems are fixed. We are fully operational. However, it is pretty late in the day, so I am not sure if we will do posts today or not. For sure not tomorrow, I have doctors appointments. (Relax, I'm fine, just my 5,000 mile tuneup) But we will resume on Thursday, promise you that.

Hi there! Remember me?
Sorry, real life is eating my time and spitting the bones out. Long story short, nine hour days plus 45 minute commutes one way equal eleven hours, meaning the time I have for TSTO is down to about 20 minutes first thing in the morning and an hour or so before I collapse at night. But I am not beaten yet. As long as I have weekends, I'll do updates.
But, more bad news. I had really hoped to do every THOH episode with every reference in this guide. Unfortunately, not all of them are on DVD/Blu and only the most recent airing feels safe from syndicated cuts. I did have an online source for the old stuff, but copyright lawyers took them down earlier in October. So, I am limited to the fifteen on DVD, plus number 25 that just aired. That's all.
The good news? I just finished watching them all with notes, so stand by for an info dump and get out your credit cards for donut purchases, because we got a LOT to do! Photos will be a bit behind as I am still tinkering with some locations and looks, but I thought it essential to get the info up now for last minute buys.
So, where were we?
Treehouse of Horror VI Airdate: October 29, 1995. Episode #3F04.
1st Appearances: Lard Lad Donuts, Zip Boys, Tam O'Shanty Tax Preparations, Aladdin's Magic Carpets & Linoleum, Neon Duff Sign, Channel 6 News Billboard, Red Devil Realty, Big & Tall Men's Shop, Van Brunt & Churchill Ad Agency, Paul Anka, Springfield Orphanage, Birthplace of Norman Vincent Peale, Nightmare Willie.
The location for Lard Lad Donuts is shown in the episode as at the end of a long line of shops. Since none of the shops are in the game, I default to our friend, The Map of Springfield, which gives us a location near the Krusty Burger at the Springfield Mall. The Mystery Box is not yet in my favor, so for now, the First Church of Lard Lad fills the void.
That is, unfortunately, all for this episode. I too wish for a Nightmare Willie skin, including a Burned Skeleton task. Maybe next year, let us hope.
Next time, we create Lutherans!

Treehouse of Horror VII Airdate: October 27, 1996. Episode #4F02
1st Appearances: Hugo, Pidgeon-Rat, Genesis Tub, Bob Dole, Republican National Committee Headquarters, Democratic National Committee Van, Ray Gun. This episode also features Kang's Crack the Whip task (should have been assigned to Kodos, EA...) and Kang and Kodos's Exchange Long Protein Strings task, although they are not Clin-ton and Dole when doing it. Details, right?
OK, the Ray Gun is technically seen in DC in the episode, but we can make this work. You can see the Capital Dome in the background of the Ray Gun shot with the crashed saucer still embedded. So, imagine the Dome is the dome of the Springfield Town Hall and you have a solution. Just place the Ray Gun south and to the left of where you have your Town Center, turn it so the barrel is facing right and it's fine. You can also include the wreckage of the previous Ray Guns in the same area and be just fine. Or just free form, this is, after all, non-continuity.
I would love a Hugo character next year for Halloween at least, at most maybe a Pidgeon-Rat. Think it is pretty unlikely we will get Clinton or Dole, but hey, we got Lincoln, so who knows?
Next time, I. want. A. Deputy. Hippo.

Treehouse of Horror VIII Airdate: October 26, 1997. Episode #5F02.
1st Appearances: Fox Censor, Deputy Hippo, Homer's Bomb Shelter, Bomb Shelter, Neutron Bomb, Alien Commander, Mutant skins for Lenny, Mel, Flanders, Hibbert, Moe, Skinner, Carl, Burns, Snake, Willie, Apu and Wiggum, Hearse, Freak Mobile, Johnny and Edgar Winters Tour Bus, Frink's House, Robby the Automaton model, Matter Transporter, Santa's Little Helper/Snowball II Merger, Butt Creature, Fly Head Bart, Witch Marge, Witch Patty, Witch Selma, Cauldron. The episode also features Witch Marge's Do a Victory Lap task.
Willing to bet a fair amount of money I missed something, given this episode was loaded. We've gotten quite a bit, but feels like we have just scratched the surface of this one.
Bomb Sheltershould be placed in the yard behind Herman's Military Antiques with the entrance facing to the left. If space allows, I recommend placing the Training Dummy on the left side of the yard opposite the Bomb Shelter entrance and the Miniature Atomic Bomb should be above that, against the brick wall.
Freak Mobile's placement depends on the angling of your First Church of Springfield. If the entrance faces the left side of the map, place it behind the Church, facing down. If the Church entrance is facing down, toward the bottom of the map, place the Freak Mobile against the left wall of the Church, again facing down.
This is one where I may argue with some, but I believe this is the first appearance of the Robby the Automaton model, but not by name. Given I play by named shown appearance rules, I simply make a note of it and move on.
The Cauldron has no cave to be placed in currently, so I recommend if you have a wooded area next to the mountains at the top of the screen, place the Cauldron there against the mountains. Oh, and if you don't have a wooded area yet, might want to start working on that. You're going to need it in three episodes.
So many more things I'd love to see. No Frink's House, only his lab for now. No Fly Head Bart. No Witch skins for Patty and Selma, although their introduction may have come too late to develop those. And honestly, maybe next Halloween, the Mutant/Freak invasion will be the holiday thing. There is another option, but we will get to that soon enough.
Next time... that's it?

Treehouse of Horror IX Airdate: October 25, 1998. Episode #AABF01.
1st Appearances: Ed McMahon, Hell Toupee Homer, Vampire Krusty, Jerry Springer, Alien Maggie.
Boy, this one sucked.
... our blood!
Seriously, the only thing from this one we've seen is the ghost of an electrocuted Snake when Springfield Prison is haunted. We could see some skins in the future, especially if we are given Maggie as a solo character or Itchy and Scratchy as in game characters, but other than that, I'd be very hard pressed to find anything in this one that could be included in game. Better luck next year.
Next year, hey, EA, I got a suggestion for you.
