Wow. Posted my entries before I slept and now I'm trying to make sense of the situation. Errr first off would like to apologize to the organizers. Am still not used to this forum and I must have missed the competition rules thread. Won't happen again. Since D'oh-tastrophe Inc. said my entries are fine, should I leave them? am I disadvantaged in this contest because I created an area instead of decorating the one building? I'm torn between withdrawing my entries or somehow finding the space and time to send in more proper entries.

There is no advantage or disadvantage in creating an area verses decorating a single building.

Do you want the studios and krusty burger together in one complex or separate? I don't usually do these things, but I'm pretty sure separate is best. Separate posts too, so we can see how many 'likes' each building gets. I see a few people including the film set in their designs for Krustylu Studios, which is awesome. Is it kosher to include Channel 6, or is that a no-no, Andy and D'oh-tastrophe Inc.? (And anyone else who knows the rules?)

Mitzy and lakooo, you can include whatever buildings you would like with your entry as long as they are not in use in Forumfield.

Mitzy and lakooo, you can include whatever buildings you would like with your entry as long as they are not in use in Forumfield. Cool! Could we possibly impose on a past Forumfield winner to look at the town and make up a list of the buildings currently in use? The screenshots in the Weekly Winners thread always show the surroundings, so it's hard to tell what exactly has been included in the official Forumfield. Sorry to be a pain!

Hope I didn't miss any out

You know I have a good question: What happens when the friends list reaches 100? Currently, I don't think there are 100 buildings, although I can be wrong. The map will be full long before this.

Is forumfield taking friend requests. It would be nice to have as a neighbour.

Cool. Alas I will probably not have the opportunity I just thought you got the key because your design was there. Really good idea though

Lucy, while this is all kinds of awesome, I don't want you to get disqualified, so you should remove the Santa Village and McBain filming scene. Rules state you can only have the featured building along with buildings you can have multiples of (such as houses and KEMs and GNBs and KBs). The same goes for most entries: @countersniper, Mitzy, BatusiMan, Mae, indydude33. I hope I haven't missed anyone... I have removed my Krustylu Studio from the competition. I guess I misunderstood the purpose of Forumfield and have used it to show what I actually did with the buildings in my town ... I didn't realize the purpose was to build something specifically for the contest. As for the Krusty Burger, does the Krustyland Shuttle count as a decoration or another building? If I have violated the rules with that entry, I will remove that as well. indydude33, I think the idea is indeed to pick the best of what we've all done with our actual towns, but because Forumfield is itself a town (and therefore can't have, for instance, 2 libraries), we sometimes have to redo things in order to submit them. D'oh-tastrophe Inc. very kindly referred me to the updated rules for Forumfield, which lists the things we're NOT allowed to use. ( Link here.) Everything else is fair game, if I'm reading it all correctly. LSLeong was saying that only buildings that we can have multiples of (Kwik-E-Marts, brown houses, etc) could appear in the shot along with the featured building, but I *think* (and hope) that was an old restriction and has been removed. Mitzy, there's a Panoramic of Forumfield that gets updated every couple of months. Follow the link to see it.

lakooo, surrounding areas can be included in the shot, but it must be clear what the area is your are entering. Does that make sense?

I created it as a little hollywood and included the mountain sign, movieset and chanel6. I even hommaged hitchcock's psycho by putting the haunted house near it! This looks like an actual entry

Question: When is the deadline? I'm working on my submission and "Whenever one of us feels like closing it" doesn't help
