Lucy, while this is all kinds of awesome, I don't want you to get disqualified, so you should remove the Santa Village and McBain filming scene. Rules state you can only have the featured building along with buildings you can have multiples of (such as houses and KEMs and GNBs and KBs). The same goes for most entries: @countersniper, Mitzy, BatusiMan, Mae, indydude33. I hope I haven't missed anyone... I'll just remove mine then. It would be too much work to remove those images. Thanks anyways. NO!!!! Just replace them with some Brown houses and a KB. This is an awesome design!

I guess I misunderstood the purpose of Forumfield and have used it to show what I actually did with the buildings in my town ... I didn't realize the purpose was to build something specifically for the contest. As for the Krusty Burger, does the Krustyland Shuttle count as a decoration or another building? If I have violated the rules with that entry, I will remove that as well.

Forumfield Week 11: The Krusty-est Places in Springfield This week we want to see your Krustylu Studios and Krusty Burger. You have until whenever one of us can be bothered to close this thread to get your entries in. The top three judges picks for each building will go to polling, where the winners will be chosen by you! Good luck! Please continue to 'like' entries that you, uh, like! The public opinion does play a roll in the judges picks. Well, this is what is causing the confusion and the rule violations. Where does it say in here that it can only be those buildings or buildings that come in multiples? Remember, you have a bunch of new members who don't know past rules and therefore need to be reminded or at least a link given to these rules. Thanks!

Thank you but I can't change a thing on my masterpiece. That would be like asking Picasso to put the eye in the right place instead of melting down the side of the face. The horrors! I'm cool with it. I'll just be sure to consult my Ouija Board next time to make sure I know the unwritten rules of these things.

Wait I am really confused as well. I was under the impression that only buildings that had already been judged needed to be replaced or removed. So for example, if you include the Observatory in your Krustylu studios screenshot, then the Observatory would need to be replaced or removed since a winner had already been declared and there is only one Observatory available in the game. It is also my understanding that if someone places an item in their design that has not been used, that item would simply not be available for a future challenge. So for example, if the bus to Krustyland is featured in a design and that design wins, there will not be a Forumfield contest featuring that item at a future date. I don't mean to post this kind of argument in a public place, but P&R folks do we need to relaunch this after some discussion? I would hate to see new (and awesome) designs disqualified and forum members turned off to participating in Forumfield because they are being disqualified for ambiguities. Perhaps we need to provide a link to them in the OP of each challenge? I was under the impression we could only use the buildings specified. But D'oh-tastrophe Inc. would know the answer to whether we can combine unused unique buildings. Lucy, hold on for a verdict from Doh. We did use Santa's village in the last challenge, so that for sure needs to be replaced, but you might be able to leave the movie set.

I have removed my Krustylu Studio from the competition. I guess I misunderstood the purpose of Forumfield and have used it to show what I actually did with the buildings in my town ... I didn't realize the purpose was to build something specifically for the contest...... LOL, me too. I clearly can read but cannot comprehend what I am reading because this is the second time I've misunderstood the rules. I also didn't realize that somebody would have to recreate the winning design. Since it took me days to get those fences angled just right? I'm sure whomever has to do that has heaved a massive sigh of relief that they no longer have the possible specter of my stick structure looming over their heads. (Assuming that on some off-chance my studio lot had won.....) Maybe. Maybe not. My farm won. And it's very well accessorized

Now I really am confused.
I don't think I entered the Santa's Village so why would I have to remove that? I thought the rules as just stated are if you entered a building already and it won? That was what I just got out of the post that I just read here. Since I "think" (not sure lol) that this is my very first forum field and I've only entered OTM - sticks, Rock Stage, and the Animal one then the Santa's Village has never been judged before, I didn't make the deadline for that one in time.
I'll have to search my post history because I'm not positive.

I'll have to search my post history because I'm not positive. Okay. Let me try to make sense and I haven't even been drinking! For the Forumfield contest, we actually have a game account where we recreate all of the winning entries from each week. The winners receive a gold key badge, but they also receive an exclusive invitation to be neighbors with our Forumfield town. View it as a trophy hall of sorts. That's why it's impossible to reuse unique buildings that have already used in previous contests. I thought we were limiting designs to just the buildings we were presenting for the current challenge. However, now I'm not sure if you can include buildings that are unique but may not have been used before. The rules link that I provided previously has a list of all unique building that have been used and thus are off limits, but it still needs to be updated with info from the last challenge which included Try N Save and Santa's Village. I hope that clarifies this. I'm so sorry it's all a mess. It really is D'oh-tastrophe Inc.'s area of expertise because she's the one that recreates your design. She's busy lately and we tried our best to fill her super size shoes but failed miserably I'm sure she'll check in soon and clear this up.

LSLeong - that makes sense, maybe you guys could create some sort of form post that you insert into each of these with the list of rules so those of us (like me) who are new to the forumfield will know what we are supposed to be doing. All that being said, I think I'm still just going to withdraw my design and wait for something a wee bit less complicated to display it later. This? Sounds a little too much like work and work sucks! HAHA I thought this was a game! Rules, violations, research? BOOOOO!! I just came here to play!

I only read about half way through this and saw there had been a lot of confusion over the rules. To restate the rules in every single Forumfield competition would be a little overkill, especially since the rules have their own thread for reference. From now on, the OP will contain a link to the rules. I will go look at each submission so far, and "yay" or "nay" each one. Also, buildings that can only be used once in Springfield are permissible at the cost that they cannot be used in future competitions.

@countersniper; Your entry is fine. Kymie; Your entry is fine. Chrisp530; Your entries are fine. Duff Dawg; You may now enter the contest. Lucy; Due to the use of Santa's Village, we cannot consider your entry. However, you are free to replace Santa's Village with a similar building for the purposes of the competition. blackrapier; Due to the use of the Springfield sign, we cannot consider your entry. I am sorry. BatusiMan; Your entries are fine. Mae; Your entries are fine. Mitzy; Your original entry was fine, but so is your second. lobosalsa; Your entry is fine. That all being said, I will not be doing this again, nor do I expect anyone from the PnR committee to do so either, but that is their own personal discretion. The rules for every contest we host are out there, and it is up to each participant to know the rules of the contest they are entering and the clear up any confusion or discrepancies before entering. The committee will go through and make sure that all of the rules for each contest are easily accessible within each contest's subforum at our earliest convenience. To the best of my knowledge, all of the rules are out there and clearly stated. I would also like to point out that most of the contests have consistent rules that do not change from contest to contest. The Photo Challenges have rules that vary from challenge to challenge, and that is the only competition that does so.

Can't u guys just replace the buildings with a Xmas brown house when recreating it in Forumfield? When recreating a entry, I like to keep it as true to the entry as possible. Initially, repeat buildings were no big deal because the issue never really came up. When Fraggle won for her government area I could not use the Library since LSLeong's kids had already won for that building, requiring me to change up her entry a lot. I was not happy about that, so I amended the rules. Contestants now have to make the changes themselves.
