We continue our back to basics approach for this month's Springfield Palace of Fine Arts challenge. It's the stuff of Homer's nightmares... Art 102: The Fruit Bowl. Use all the TSTO decor at your disposal to create a fruit bowl and post it in this thread. All entries are due by 11:59pm (PDT) Monday, September 9. The Pics & Rec judges will pick the top three and bring them to the forum members for the final vote. All worthy entries (ones that show some effort) will receive a David award if the artist does not already have one. Winners of the challenges will receive a beautiful new Gummi Venus de Milo badge. The rarest gummi of them all, this award was carved by gummi artisans who work exclusively in the medium of gummi. We hope you will treasure it rather than eat it

Mmm I'm rubbish at the 2D art stuff but will give it a go. A challenge is always exciting EDIT This is proving to be well beyond my capabilities.

Darn. I had one about half-way finished for the Still Life challenge, but tore it apart when I realized I couldn't finish it in time. Hopefully I can make a better one (and in time) this time around. +1

This is a great idea, and it'll be interesting to see all of the perverted banana art our delightful members create.

Ok I'm done. A bank holiday Monday well spent. Really not in my comfort zone and a few tantrums had but I'm actually not embarrassed by the end result.

Thankyou for all the lovely comments but I'm pretty sure once the experts start posting theirs it will fail in comparison. I'm making the most of it while it lasts

Short on space, talent, and time, I offer up an alternative interpretation. *not an entry, just for fun*
