Lets see some maths here, ~7 million people playing during halloween.. ~2 billion donuts spent in game..
2 billion / 7 million = each person has purchased (or used) roughly 285 donuts each? I doubt it :S

Well you have outliers that they didn't exclude that spent thousands of donuts and then the people who didn't spend donuts at all. The non-spenders and over spends balance out.

Even so I don't think so, if that information is logged from users who downloaded the halloween content, and donuts used in game, it still doesnt make sense to me. I remember halloween on this game, most people quit or burned out and didn't buy any donuts.
These figures seem a little made up to me

Most people as in the forum users? They're aren't a lot of those. There are around 7 million users, and most of those aren't in the forums.
Sorry, I'm not trying to fight or argue or be rude, I guess I'm just not seeing your side of things.

No, just basing that off my friends list at the time. Out of 100 friends it was rare to see a few hundred donuts spent, and as the months went by into christmas many friends on origin were "last logged in 1 week ago" etc.
Maybe EA counts donuts all that have been spent in game, through a jailbroken device or something, not literally all purchases. On average ~285 donuts used per person doesnt seem right

It's very possible that it the case. They didn't mention purchases or anything, just donuts spent. So, I think jailbroken devices spending exuberant amounts would make up the difference.

Jail broken isn't hat big of an issue. Donuts spent does not mean only bought premium characters and buildings. Decorations, which are not that noticeable. Speeding up he game tasks. Fast tapping the donut button, and until December, it moved to fast to cancel. And it does not say if the donuts spent in walk through wee counted. |

Yeah plus 100 out of millions isn't the greatest case study. My friend has legitimately bought 7 boatloads since he started and shows no signs of stopping. |

Lol that was back in nov. at the end of the Halloween update...and then Gil came for Christmas..cant imagine the money they made from that event too. But Im glad to see this cash isnt wasted. They finally fixed the god damn constant annoying crashes that was plaguing this game since the beginning and many other things.
