Here is how we celebrate Christmas in July in my Springfield. Instead of waiting for baby Jesus to arrive, we wait for the Funzo! Santa's Little Helper and the Leprechaun have been by a few times each, but no sign of anyone purple. In the center of the shot are my "shrubmen", representing the 5 Simpsons. I never did get the snowmen, Santa's Village or Santa Homer. I am kind of wishing I never got the Funzo, either!! All is forgiven, he has shown up at last!! While I was waiting, I experienced a glitch, which is pictured below my Christmas scene. The yellow part of the roof was actually blinking!   |

 Thanks to Doctoru2's excellent idea to celebrate Christmas in July, we've now made it a challenge! We're all about giving around here, so yes, there's a badge involved! Those who feel the Christmas spirit will receive this awesome Summer Santa Homer badge! Simply post a single screenshot of your town that contains the following: - One Christmas Tree - 2 Reindeer - Reindeer decorations or flying reindeer count too. - Christmas Lights for 6 buildings - can different buildings or all the same type - Marge/Lisa/Maggie Snowmen - One Funzo - Homer lounging in the pool or Homer Santa riding his reindeer Members who joined after the Christmas event and don't have these items can create a Christmas art piece using their decor instead. Members who are missing some of these items can also be creative and place substitutions. Once you have taken your screenshot, you are welcome to move any buildings back to their original spots in your town, but just remember to keep their lights up. Those creating an art piece will have to keep their artwork in tact for the entire month. No Scrooges allowed! Members must agree to keep their decorations up for the entire month of July. No cheating! If another member catches you without your decorations, they can report you and your badge will be revoked  Now, get into the Christmas spirit and start decorating your town! This is such a great idea! That's why I LOVE lurking here, well with some occasional posts here and there. Creative and entertaining members in this forum keep coming back for more.  |

mdfriend, a single screen doesn't have to be boring. It was easy to include man eating crickets, duck teasing, an interrogation, Willy "shaving", and a Lord of the Flies imagery (ok, they are human heads). Oh, and a Funzo and two reindeer. Satan, a pusher, and some firing pistols recklessly were just a bonus.  LSLeong, I'm glad I can move things. The left side is my beach front and I have ideas. And two of those houses will have to be jacked up and towed elsewhere.

Oh no, you misunderstand, when I say boring that is just code for me having not read instructions carefully or trying to skirt around technicalities (this case my understanding of one screenshot being one posted screen shot on the board instead of multiple areas of the town posted separately, thinking a panorama counted as one screen shot, more thinking in terms of the forum and not the game). So really just code for me to say eh, damn you for my lack of following your rules, though your being the general you, not you A Bad Example...you know, bucking against the constraints of the man, or in this case the (wo)man LSLeong. |

But is there an alternative for homer In the pool?
He is the only real performer on my boardwalk other than human statue (Mayan ulama practice). I'd be loath to take him off the boardwalk and never getting him on again.
Don't get me wrong, I'll do it if i have to for this fabulous badge!
Christmas decorations are up, just need to so some arranging for the screen shot (and get homer free), will post tomorrow.

Nooo! I forgot the lights on one of the brown houses! Can this still count if I put the lights on now!  Also missed off the Christmas tree which is next to my tire fire (it's still in my town if that counts). If it's worth anything all my buildings that can, have their Christmas lights on! x |
