I recently (2 weeks ago) tried contacting EA in regards to Origin support for Android users. Finally got an answer, and it ain't pretty:

Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts. 

First of all, please accept my apologies for the delay in responding. Henceforth, I assure that we would expedite our responses. 

Having gone through your query, I can sniff your interest in The Simpsons: Tapped Out which makes me perceive you to be a wordsmith!

There have been quite a many requests for releasing Origin support for The Simpsons: Tapped Out on Android as is pretty much evident from the forums and Emails that we receive. Considering the number of requests, the Developers may want to consider releasing it soon but as of now there is no official update.

I’m going to make it a point to communicate it to the decision makers here. Every number counts when it comes to taking these decisions.

Please let me know if there is anything else that I can assist you with.

Apparently giving us Origin support for the game was never even in their plans, which is awful.

That's a weird choice of words...

Anyway, I don't understand why they would release the game for Android without Origin, unless this has to do with the Mapple Store or something.

Maybe they wanted to gauge demand before putting it in? But I'm with you, it seems rather daft to create the whole app and then leave the Origin feature out.

As for the weird email, it's obviously from a level one or two person where English is a second language - i.e. I wouldn't count on him/her for any insight on features or future directions

It's meant to be blue first and yellow as the second quote, so they are easier to tell between quoted posts and between your post. I'm not sure why the yellow was switched.

I have to believe that when the next major update comes out ie Wacking day android will get origin.

I have already got to the Bart clubhouse quest in my android version. I'm not going to spend any money on my android. If they give me my iOs town I will.
