Here's a very crude image of the land plot prices I made with Paint and OpenOffice Impress. Most of the information came from this thread, and the waterfront and water property prices I filled in myself. Click the image for a better view. Edit; The bottom, leftmost piece should be 104000 not 10400.

Great guide D'oh-tastrophe Inc. ! I didn't realise how expensive some of the squid port land is to say its only a few squares across

Thanks Spider Pig. Please ignore the embarrassing typo, though. The bottom, leftmost piece should be 104,000.

Very nice D'oh-tastrophe Inc.! I was just happy that at least a reasonable amount of beach and water can be bought for not too much money. The lower left corner will take a while o pay for, but then again, it's not like my boardwalk will reach that anytime soon.

On an unrelated topic, Andy, I just noticed that you have more likes than posts. Given the number of posts, that's quite an achievement. 1.33 batting average (or whatever the British cricket equivalent is) (and yes I realize batting averages can't be >1.00, maybe OPS is better) is a feat for sure. I don't know if this has been beaten in this forum by anyone else, don't know how to check. For now, I think you (or whoever the current OPS leader is) should get a badge for that Spiffshine, can this be a badge?

I think Peruhomer or MelDesigner might have an even more impressive post-to-like ratio, or whatever the mathematical term would be. Although I can't say I've calculated it, mostly because my brain doesn't do numbers.

I am honoured that people have been keeping mine over 0.5. I am a little worried a badge could lead to shenanigans, such as Like for Like pacts or something. It probably wouldn't though. Oh yeah ... yet another awesome guide!

Can you image the pressure, too? I don't like the thought of having to keep it up for that long all by myself, and I don't like medication.

I like the idea! I think there is much to be said for having so many likes and it should be recognized. That said, I'm a bit at a loss on how the logistics would work. We would have to have a scout to go through all of the members on a recurring basis to check for likes:posts. It is not impossible, just time consuming.

yeah, I don't know how you would do the logistics. And of course there would have to be some minimum number of posts (or having 1 post with 4 likes would beat anyone). Maybe it only gets checked every 2-3 months (or whatever we'll call a "season"), and the leader at that time gets a badge (and old badges can be kept, as it is only 4/year). Certainly not something you'd want to do on a continuous basis. Has to be centered on given dates. And no idea how to prevent shenanigans I really was just noticing Andy's numbers, so the thought entered my head without thinking it through any further (like many of my thoughts, it just rattled around for a while)

I don't know if anyone here ever played the PS3's LittleBig Planet, but if you searched online for a user created level, it was flooded with Like for Like levels. It would probably end up meaning that likes would show how many people had made deals with you rather than how many people had actually liked your posts. Also, D'oh Incorporated's Yoshi avatar is the cutest thing ever to be seen on this forum. This thread was derailed very quickly.

Could just be a badge for 1000 Likes. edit: probably not as good as the ratio idea edit: Unrelated to the sentence fragment a cm above, Like totals would be influenced a bit by things like which forums people post in a lot, which members like to read their posts, etc Had to make sure I didn't actually complete a sentence this post.

I too suspect we'll get more new land in the future. My clue is that the two plain-old-grass edges look different from each other. No hurry though as far as I'm concerned I hope I'm still playing long enough to find out what EA has planned for it.

Ive considered proposing something like this for a while, I'm just now sure how it would work. At first I thought of it as an "approval" rating, and anyone over 75% "approval" would get a badge. Dunno. Well have to play with the idea. If you think of anything let me know.

I would've Liked either half of that post by itself. I guess at this rate the last land a lot of people will buy will be water that will never have anything in it and isn't even animated. (I don't think this is 100% bad ... it means there is no incentive to buy every last bit of water ... along with making long-time players blow big dough on useless water ... certainly not 100% good either.) One imperfect solution would be to earn 4 tiles at a time instead of 1, not change the build times, and have more total number of tiles but less total number of build times.

People here are just too nice. I'm sitting at 2.2 like per post. Never gave it much thought before? My posting is streaky. Peaks and valleys. Just know I'm always lurking The king of likes who should get a badge is the person with the most likes period (whom is that btw?)More likes equals more contributions. My ratio is only good because I'm a show off who likes to post more of my work than have proper back and forths with people here. Damn my selfish self serving ways! The problem is I'm most often late to parties and I see somebody has almost always said what I was going to say better than I was going to say it, so I just like that persons comment.

Girls sure did alright in my high school calculus class. The "boy" named Bev did fantastic, the boys named Maridy and Reese did great too, and plenty of others did great.
