The forum has spoken. Congratulations to Fraggle who wowed us with her phenomenal Lichtenstein which still boggles the mind! She is one dedicated artist and we can't wait to see what else she has up her sleeve! You are now the proud owner of a set of Simpsons Trading Cards! We'll be in touch with you soon with details. Honorable mentions to go our two runner-ups Spiffshine and Abigail. Both your pieces were outstanding as well. If only we had more prizes...

Everyone who entered received a badge. The winner receives a real-life prize of some Simpsons Trading Cards. Meaning you have to give your address to the ever so depraved lsleong. I know I would rent a locker in a train station, ask her to drop them there and then go pick them up like a year later.

Fantastic work to all. Really fantastic! I should stop by the thread to check out all the entries. I see the early voting is lopsided. I don't think I'll vote because it would be too hard. Somehow those first two pictures together reminded me of the pencil-sketch music video for Take On Me (my all-time favorite music video).

All 3 of you deserve to win, to be honest... I feel mean having to vote for only one of you. But I did it anyway.

Well, since you didn't bother to enter the contest, your distrust of me is irrelevant. You best play nice with me mdfriend, or I will have to send Drogon after you and he has a bad temper

I still will submit something, one day

I couldn't even come close to doing anything as well as all three of these, but the Lichtenstein rendition blows... MY MIND. It just looks SO clean and precise.

If i had several hats on, I'd take them all off to the artists who created these, I struggle to even write my name with shrubs.

I really really like starry night, but the detail in fraggles is just too difficult to overlook. The time and patience and effort that must have gone into it. I had to vote for it. But I thought I'd just say here, I really liked starry night.

Let me start by saying that all of the entries where very creative in its senesce they may have not been original works of art but in the way they were. I was torn as 2 of my favorite made it to the finals and I chose a winner in my eyes on level of difficulty to transfer from oil canvas to bushes and trees medium !! Congratulations to all of you !!!
Bravo !!

But I thought I'd just say here, I really liked starry night. I know, so many great choices, one of the ones from the gallery that I loved was the Magritte by rsommons, I am biased, love that artist, but it was well done. So many great choices and the amazing things people can do both in a copy and an original, which I love even more. Loved this challenge and hope we do some more.

Seeing these just makes me feel out of my depth even trying aha. Maybe I'll get some grid paper and have a go next week though.
