What's with the Russian rudeness? Won't someone think of the children?  But to answer your question, I decorated all I wanted for now, and I spent some hearts to put a few rose bushes into storage, and planted a little field of trees (and got at least 2 of everything else). Now I am saving again just in case. |

Well i've bought everything i wanted with valentines and now have 1000+ leftover, if i have any on the last day of the event, i'll probably buy a couple trains and sell em for cash

BTW, the rate of return for all Valetine's items is the same: $10 per heart. So you're not missing out if you have other things besides trains.

I'm saving every heart I can lay my hands on. If we don't get any Christmas stocking-style special offers at the end of the month, it's simple enough to convert the hearts to choo-choos or whatever.

I'm over 3000 hearts now, probably closer to 5000 by month's end. It would be nice to be able to turn them directly into cash or donuts or valentine stockings, but if I have to buy 50 trains so be it. Maybe do something fun with them for a day before selling them all.
My one train that I have now due to my obsessive completism is one of my least favorite objects in my Springfield. They're astonishingly ugly IMO... which I guess is kind of intentional. I put mine near my ice cream parlor. The color palettes go together, and they both have that kind of tacky late 70's - early 80's style going on.
