Quick question: I'm growing corn for the first time for this "contest." Lately, I've been panicking that something will prevent me from harvesting before the crop wilts in the field (First World problems, right?) Anyway ... does anyone know how long I have to harvest before it goes bad?

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but I've never had any other crop wilt.

Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone, but I've never had any other crop wilt. Other crops do wilt, but wilting times are some percentage of growing times that I don't know. You may be harvesting your crops in time before they wilt. Or you may have very nice neighbors who tap on your wilted crops to reinvigorate them.

Still. Amazing. (I'm on all the time so, sorry indydude33 for the flawed advice.)

Anyway ... does anyone know how long I have to harvest before it goes bad? This happened to me the first time I grew corn. I'm not sure how ling it took though, as I obviously forgot about it. I had stuck the farm off in the corner and didn't look at it for 3 months! Luckily, A Bad Example came around and revived it for me. This time, I set a reminder on my phone and harvested within minutes. I've got your back, my friend, if you forget!

I didn't want to lose that little extra, so I asked my friends to keep an eye on it. When the problem was solved, two friends had tapped the corn. I saw two handshakes. I collected, one handshake remained. Long story short, I got a double payout. So when my next batch is ready, I'm going to try that again.

I grew corn for the first time a little while back...it did give that kind of "accomplishment" feeling seeing the image floating above the farm.

I have grown corn once before on my secondary account: But it appears to qualify for this event I will need to grow it again. So I have planted it once again. Edit to add this pic:

Lately, I've been panicking that something will prevent me from harvesting before the crop wilts in the field (First World problems, right?) Anyway ... does anyone know how long I have to harvest before it goes bad? I think it's about 4 days. Perfection has a 45sec grow time, with 2sec time to collect it before it wilts. And 2/45 = 0.44... So if corn has the same ratio as perfection it will be 90*0.44 = about 4 days. Someone could test it but I wouldn't want to risk my precious corn...

Wait4It, have you used any speed-ups (such as Witch Marge speeding up a crop)? If not, you may still qualify. Spider Pig is the ruler of this game. What say you, Spider Pig? Nope, I don't even have witch marge. Just post your screenshot when it is done. The rule was had to have at least 45 days left from when this started so you met that rule, but yes Spider Pig's call

Nicely done Wait4It! I'd like to make a joke about how ironic your username is compared to the amount of suspense we all endured between you posting your corn growing and the fantastic harvest... but it would be corny.
