I put this out there in the EA Forum. I think it went over most of their heads... In light of the recent issues, I thought I'd take a peek at the App Store and see if these outages have any effect on the star rating, or if there are at least many comments about the issues. I was pretty surprised at what I saw. Here's a general example (not a quote, but pretty close): 5-Stars! Just downloaded the game and it is very addictive. I'm a daily player. Add me! There was even one that gave 5 stars but pointed out they have never been able to login to Origin. There are a few 3-star reviews that point out the glitches and connection issues, but they are buried in the noise. How in the world is EA ever going to give proper support to this game if the review section of the App Store is treated like the Facebook Page or any other "Add Me" thread? People not giving real reviews, but 5 stars and an "Add Me"?

I think the current outages are probably minor, compared to what we have had in the past. I don' t have numbers of course, but don't forget the problems nearly everyone had in early December. The game has actually become more stable and playable for many recently.

The money coming in will do the talking for them. Around Christmas and for months before, they were around 2-4 in top grossing apps. Right now, they are sitting at 11th (I'm no help; as I type this, I just finished a round in Candy Crush Saga (currently No. 2), while listening to Pandora (currently No. 3).

I asked you to post this here so I could comment, then I forgot to comment!
I'm such a bad friend! Sorry! LOL
The app review makes no sense. I remember back when the game was crashing every few seconds and the reviews were glowing that I was stunned. I actually made a couple of reviews to try and level the playing field a bit.
Compared to the mess back then? It isn't that bad but it definitely isn't worthy of a 5-star rating. At least not yet.
I don't understand people giving a 5-star rating and then in the same post stating that they can't access their game. Seriously? Do they not understand the rating concept?

I was playing from launch with so many crashes and constantly not being able to get on the game, then when they eventually issued the first fix I lost most of my progress and quit the game. Since coming back it still crashes, still has connection issues and my Homer Glitch stopped my progress from the Burns Manor update up until the Valentines one. So as addictive as it can be, it's definitely not a 5 star game. 2 at most.

Answers simple, everyone with issues give it a 1 star rating, you can always change it later if they fix the problem. Remember to mention the awesome support and caring nature of EA when you have a problem as well, oh wait............

Most mobile app game reviews that require friends are spammed with add me posts. It reminds me of these guys.

No, no, no. You are forgetting how EA works.
Do you remember when TSTO would ask you to leave a review? Right after you have just levelled up and received either one or two free donuts. Do you remember the euphoric feeling of free donuts plus levelling up at such early stages of the game? That feeling was unmatchable, literally you felt as if this was the best game in the world and you were a lucky sod to even have a chance to play hence resulting in a glowing review. Thanks to my sheer laze, I never left a review but I know if I had one of the many times the game prompted me to, it would have been amazing.
Don't blame the players, blame EA.

Few people actually review apps effectively. Many will probably do so shortly after downloading the app, likely well before any problems occur.
