I'm at the point where there is $2.2m sat in simpsons dollars. My town is quite neat and contained, so there is plenty of land left to buy. Which way should I go, get the skyscraper or buybuybuy on the land front?

Since, the Tower isn't a limited item
You should buy some land. Hopefully there is a update that lowers the price

I just made that same decision on Saturday. I had about 1.5M saved and decided to buy the rest of the land I needed (now maxed out!). I think the Tower is kind of ugly anyway, which helped my decision.

I like the idea of the magnifying glass and the skyscraper together though. EA should give interest on the $ while I ponder my decision.
The other thing is what do I do with the land if I expand? I'm not into house farming. But like you said the popsicle is ugly.

Go for some land -- you can put in a river or some other water feature temporarily while waiting for more things to build.

Wait for the update/price drop and buy the tower. Since they removed the Mapple store (I presume they did reading other threads) there is a chance it could vanish. Dunno, but that's my plan... If ever I can save up that much.

Land it is by common consensus then. Probably for the best, I would cry like my winky was stuck in my fly if the update comes and it's half price.

$2.2m down to $.75m, job done. I'll keep the rest back in store in case the update comes before the beginning of next month. Assuming that is when it's coming.
