iFunbox runs on a PC and will connect to an iDevice over USB or wifi. It'll connect to any device without running an app on the device, or even asking for confirmation so long as it's not on the lock screen. You can copy various app/game files over to the PC and then browse them at your leisure. I presume iFile works the same but not tried it.

You pay for them both. I think ifile requires a jailbreak, since it lets you interact with the file system much like explorer in windows.
And it's comparable.
Not sure I would recommend either be used by someone not familiar with Unix fie systems.

Not sure it's worth the money, but I like working with the command line. If you were frequently moving data, it might be worth it.

I'm sure I didn't pay for iFunbox, maybe I had a trial version, not run it for a couple of weeks and then only tried it for a day.
The version I used had an explorer type design that made browsing and copying files as simple as drag&drop.

I was quite shocked by how open it was - any device on your wifi network can be snooped and app data pulled off with just a couple of clicks. I presume certain private data would be encrypted or unreadable, but the main app files are there for free viewing. I think you can copy music/videos directly without using itunes, etc.
