With baseball just around the corner, I thought I'd have a bit of fun...Since creating a real baseball field only resulted in crap-tacular results, I decided to design one of my test accounts into a Baseball-like setup. It's a little abstract, but I tried to incorporate some different ball-park elements into the design. (I know it's not perfect, but hey, it was fun to slap this together!) The Simpsons house is the "home plate" area, with the base lines (roads) extending from behind the house. The less decorated diamond is the infield. Left field is a beast. I put up my own Green Monster with Pesky's Pole. I gave right field a San Francisco feel with the bay beyond the wall. Center field is patrolled by the extremely tall Lard Lad, who is ready to snag anything hit his way. Right field also serves as a dual purpose viewing ground to watch the Dog Races, Prison Fights, and Bowling/Mini Golf tournies. This test account definitely tested out the Dog Track/Scratch Off glitch...and the fans will be rewarded with a free "Terrible Towel" giveaway. Sadly, a few people's towels caught on fire from the Tire Yard, and now the left-center field bleachers are on fire. (As for many of the decorations, they are randomly placed just to find a spot for them to help my bonus %!)  |

Take me out to the ball game....Used to live by Wrigley Field in Chicago, years ago. Duder, very creative, except for the fire..LOL

Forgot to mention the "rooftops" in left field...had to snag oneitunesbabe182's initial idea of making flats from the white houses. 2. Duder has awesome autocorrects...."Udder" is by far my favorite! |

Dude...r, that is great. I had a similar idea a few weeks ago but I had no idea how I'd be able to pull it off, so as Homer taught me a long time ago, I never tried. I just settled and went with a Lets Go Blue Jays hedges off to the side.
Having the Springfield Sign portray the Green Monster and the Popsicle Tower Pesky's Pole is quite the clever choice.

You guys are great with design! My town is not messy, but is soooo lop sided. Sigh, it is next to impossible for me to make changes due to my back, that makes my hands act really stupid. ! Play ball.

Wow!!! That is awesome! I never would have thought of that! I've got a good baseball stadium template if you want to take it... Thanks for the suggestion; mine was similar, but I'm just not very happy with how it looked in my main town as it didn't really fit in. Setting it up isnt hard, but I couldnt find a mix of decorations that fit my eye to add all the details. How did you deconstruct the Mayan calender? You've piqued my interest.. |

Duder There was a glitch that gave some of us extra pieces of the callender before it was completed, so I have 2 extra pieces. I used the other as a piece of random garbage at Cletus' Farm.
