I'll probably do Gil's deal, but my vault option had a bunch of stuff I didn't have and I had to stock up. (antenna, cracker fountain, cat burglar). I like to space out my purchases so the tasks don't overlap too much, since they tend to use the same few characters. I don't hate this event, but it's nothing special. The things we tap on are easy to find, so that is a big plus over the last one. I'm not crazy about the bonus aspect, that it has to touch the area. It's not inspiring me to be more creative, so it comes off as more of a mechanism to just mess with me. It feels like they're trying so hard to engage us with these things, make us play more or interact more, but what would work better is a new, fun format. I agree, a new format would work. Maybe one in which you collect event currency (let's call it candy) and buy whatever you want, in whatever order you want, in a month-long event. Then give additional event specific items, such as toilet paper and eggs, and let us TP and Egg our neighborinos as much as we want, with no limits on how much we can do to a neighborino and with no limits on the amount of event currency we can earn from those tasks. Also, event only items you can buy for the increasingly irrelevant IGC. Oh, wait, I'm sorry, that was the first Halloween (and possibly the best event I've ever played, closely followed by the first Christmas event and the ability to buy the reindeer/donut bags with the excess coins).

So I have to put all the craftables on the whatever it's called area for bonus beers. Ok. But... I'm not getting bonus beers? I'm up to 13% or so and I still get 10 beers per tap of the things wandering my town. Does the bonus mean that 13% more of them show up or does it apply to the attack defend pay outs? Or does it not work?

I just log in, go get a drink or make a sandwich, then I tap them all at once when the Ruffians are in the Playspace. Bugger hunting the whole town for them, it’s too damn big now.

Adding to the bonus conversation...
I’m thinking we might have to add these bonus items to the buildings/sets that will be unlocked for others acts. Been saving my scraps for a while now in case we have to craft all new bonus items in act 2. Guess we’ll see tomorrow.

Also, there's only so many trenches you really need

Or does it not work? I apologize if someone already replied with it, but the bonus isn't on the ruffians, its on the people on task at the playground. I've watched as I've increased my bonus and I'm nearing 60 beers/task (I'm at 59 beers with over 15% bonus). I know it caps out at 60, because that's what the non-playground 4 hour tasks pay out.

Ok, thanks, guys. I never count before/after I fortify/defend/whatever.
I hope we get another thing to build around because I've run out of room and didn't plan it out well and don't care enough to redesign. I got bonuts, I got Pyro. I'm not working hard to get a few more beers.

I just replaced the Mega Playscape with the Junk Base. Bonus % of the crafted items apply there too. And since all the characters can only be send to the playground or the junk base there is no more need for the playground.

Nope. The new one has stolen 5% of the old ones defences.

Nice to not need another pile of bonus items for each of these.

Gives time to craft the new walls and towers for the Junk Base. But it's kind of weird to have them share and not be cumulative. Oh, well, for now my Junk Base will have some trenches

Why the first base isn't complete in my game while I see it with all its towers when visiting some neighbors ? Does it mean the base must be at max for this ?

Here's what it looks like at max 20% Looks like it’ll be 20 % Thanks but it’s not accurate Actually ... this look is not because of the 20%. This look is because I chose the fences and stuff to be around the base. The look of the base itself seem not to be depend on wether or not you have 20%. As you can see in this example... Now I changed the fencing surroundings so the look of the base surroundings is changed but not the base itself To illustrate it even better.... In this screenshot you see the base without any % And in this screenshot you can see the same base how it looks like when it is fully equipped with stuff inside of the base (not the fending surroundings) I think this shows that even though when you have 20% doesn’t necessarily mean your base is fully filled with 100% of the equipment

I think you need to fortify for more stuff to show up. And the attackers will break it up.

Christ this is a dull event. Yup, it's pretty much send people on 4 hour tasks and repeat. It's even worse since this event doesn't feel very Simpsons-like. EA is running out of ideas fast.

I couldn't agree more. I don't really get the "plot". I don't get the visuals ... why you see the kids fighting but not the adults. The prizes are meh. And of course the game play is horrid and monotonous.

I agree simple...and pretty boring.... event (which I am kinda grateful for at the moment). I did not want another Montymort spend every waking moment fighting and end not getting final prize anyways event.
The two things I do like is
1) I am just saving crafting until the end of the event to get a slew of new walls for future designs.
2) And I like the Outlands episode (it was the 500th episode).....it is totally classic Maggie goes strait to the dark side ready to instigate any level of violence. So I will store playground but will build an Outland area in the bottom corner of my town after it is all over.

The Valentine's Mystery boxes are priced nice. I got two and got two character/building combos. The neighbor girl... Sarah Gilbert played her I think. Powers? And the country boy from the western event. A couple extra questlines to keep things from being dull. Well, MORE dull.
I got Moe's Express and it seems to pay more beers than fortify/attack so at least maybe I can zip through this leg a little faster. The faster I get through it, the more of a break I can take before Act 3.
I hated Easter. I am still mad about how unfair it was. But if we get another three act snore 5 days after this event is over, I'm going to start getting nostalgic for Easter just for a change of pace.
