I'm wondering if they're running out of ideas! We were all excited for Stonecutters and Sideshow Bob etc. Stuff from the show we enjoy. But lately this kind of pagan event that just piles on tons of uninteresting things seems to be the running thing.
Is there much more to draw on from the show?
A few things maybe:
Euro invasion:
The Germans who took control of the power plant
Bart's French adoptive parents
Ernst, Gunter, and Anastasia
Jacques
Celebrities:
So many to choose from!
Bible Stories:
Introduced by the Sunday School Teacher
Pharoah Skinner

They've got 25 years worth of stuff to draw on. You could throw the last half of that away as most is pretty average at best but it's still loads. Of course what we can look forward to are terrible new show tie ins telling us to watch fox on whatever day it's on.

Yeah. They have 25 years of a character here and a deco there, but events usually have a theme that connect them.
I think the exciting themes might be running out.

It's designed to be so tedious that people pay EA far too much money far too often to fool themselves into thinking it's fun. At best it could be described as a timekiller or maybe an e-collection device |

The Face-paint focused collegiate experience I think refers to the Krusty Clown College that Homer joined. So it would have a costume for Homer and the bicycle ramp gag.
