Yup - I have rushed these buildings a bit as I was itching to get designing! It took me a while to realise that you can get pavement under the buildings - if you start on a grass area you can move one space in any direction to add pavement under a building. How are all yours coming on? Full Size

I totally didn't figure out how to use that corner building until I saw it used well in a friend's town.

Nothing
If you look closely, none of them go with each other. Color, windows, height, doors are all different. And as they come with landscaping, you can't even combine 2 of the same type.

They look fine to me, just look at corkhoppers They look like 4 people drew them. So while similar, they don't make a unified whole. My Monsarno complex looked kludge e becuase the buildings clashed, and looked wrong to my eye. So they are storage bound. Space is too limited to keep out stuff i don't like.

I am going to replace the hedges in front of the parking spaces with the monsarno walls and leave the training walls as they are.

I do see what A Bad Example means, none of em quite go together with each other.

I was also stuck on "a work in progress" for awhile as I tried to free up land for my Monsarno HQ. Then I just gave up. It's just so difficult for me to justify using up valuable space for a bunch of decorations, although I do really like the way they look. I'll probably keep only the Monsarno Research Campus displayed just because it looks nice.

Stunning. yall are like a dream team. I'm fortunate to get to see a couple of these compounds up-close during neighbor visits. Working progress on mine. I really do like the buildings although I agree they don't quite fit together and I'm disappointed you can't add pavement under them trying to aim for a university look Like I said. Working progress I love it. Definitely looks like a green campus. corkhopper's method of placing pavement nearby, then dragging it to underneath the building should let you place pavement under anything that is visible--you just have to add it one square at a time.

So, while I really liked my Monsarno Building layout, buildings came along that actually would have a payout or associated characters. Most of the Monsarno complex is now back in storage. Here is what the area looks like now. The main Monsarno building might be the only thing that is in a similar if not the same location! I also decided to store Up, Up and Away, hopefully temporarily. Gas and Go made that happen. The Minimum Security prison complete with volleyball and tennis courts is down in the left hand corner, next to the Malibu Dream House (of course).
