I got this f-ing problem now, too. Just after building Burns Mansion, though. Wish the doughnut would f-ing spin! Excuse my language...

Mine just locked up as well with the harp sound. I had just finished building el chemistri and sent Ralph and chief wiggum there. Next time I log in, just get the harp sound. Level 26 has been nothing but trouble. After building wiggum house, it just kept trying to download the level 26 update again and again. Never really had any problems before this. Not impressed :-(

The fix for me was to turn off auto lock and let it sit for 10-15min. It eventually logged in. Holy Shitake! This is the answer...for now. And WHAT an answer. For me it was about 15 minutes. I won't spoil the surprise for others, but I think you may like this glitch. For me the second part seemed endless too, when I got bored (some minutes later) I closed the app from the app menu. Re-opened and my town was back, back a little sweeter than when I left it. Thanks Nurd!

I wish that worked for me. Mine just crashes to the operating system app screen after around 15 minutes each time I try that.

You got 600 donuts?
WELL THEN! I would think that was worth a couple of days of being locked out!
And you guys are scaring me. I've not had any problems yet. Finished the Wiggums house and El Chemistri. Haven't sent them to eat there yet because Lisa (the prompt was busy). I think I may wait to send them, it doesn't really matter for game purposes if they go or not.

From what I see, this happens when the completion of a building results in a level up (or bonus level). Soon after (not instantly) the game f-s up.

I'm actually responding to the "ignore my user name" LOL but wanted you to know I was talking to you. If you go to your profile? There is the option to change your name on the boards. Then put your game user name under your photo (like I did). Unless you like being called Marlene? Is that a last name?

So I borrow one. When I was trialling the game as I wasn't sure if I'd continue playing I used their default phone name. After I realised I wanted to keep playing I was too far in to return

Steve - if you put your screen name under your avatar then everybody will know who you are....although....lol the avatar does give you away!
And giggling slightly at being saddled with that name. I remember you being called Marlene A LOT at the other forum. Bet you are glad you have the option here to change your name?

I am definitely glad. I was contemplating just pretending to be a girl to make it easier. And the avatar probably didn't help regarding gender association. Thanks for the info on the name changing. All done

Well this is a revelation! Hello, Steve. I am conflicted. I have been secrectly in love with your avatar for sometime now (cue The Crying Game music) Please tell me you at least have a breathy voice? Something like Ms. Dietrich.
Back on OT, (seriously!? You're a MAN, baby?) You will hear the harp on the second device, it's the running out that you want to have happen. You have auto-lock off? Just double checking.

Auto-lock is (I am a man) definitely off. My friend isn't present and I had (You can Google my avatar if you so wish - It's Emily Armstrong) her try it while messaging her. She said there was definitely a harp sound. However, I didn't have the heart to ask her to leave it running for 15 minutes. I'll try it if I'm with her in person on the iPhone 5 device.

From what I see, this happens when the completion of a building results in a level up (or bonus level). Soon after (not instantly) the game f-s up. Yep. I just finished the Chemistri last night, it gave me the level bonus (I wasn't paying close enough attention, but the bonus seemed to come earlier than I thought it would). I wake up this morning to the repeating harp. I've tried turning auto-lock off and letting it run its course about 5 times now. It just keeps booting me to the home screen after about 20 min. After getting the level 26 glitch the day of the heart update, Valentines Day is rapidly becoming my least favorite holiday by far.

I was worried they would be revoked so I went on a spending spree and bought every item I didn't have and multiple vehicles - the whole thing was surreal.

Had the same problem since Thursday. Last night I got and completed tasks, collected from my buildings, and exited. Now I can't connect to the server. I'm hoping that will be resolved when I get off work tonight. Hopefully the next update will fix all this.

I am getting the dreaded harp sound. Oh no! Try the turn off auto lock and letting it sit on the freeze at least 20 min

Oh no! Try the turn off auto lock and letting it sit on the freeze at least 20 min I am on 30 seconds of trying that option! Cross your fingers it works for me. How funny, the harp sound is entertaining me. It went from a slow strum to fast and now it's echoing.
