When I try to [testdiv]use the tag inline[/testdiv] I get line breaks because of the div. Changing div to [testspan]span didn't do the trick[/testspan] - the javascript worked, but the text was not transformed. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Apparently this affects objects inside the CODE tag and emoticons as well. [testdiv][/testdiv]

Alright, Mr. Wormopolis makes [testfont]this look a little too easy. [/testfont] Here is an inline test using regular old font classes.

That's it folks. Looks like this little feature is not going to happen with the current technology available. [sar]You might all want to go through a thorough decontamination process, since you carelessly walked into this test area despite the warnings.[/sar]

This is the strangest 'add me' thread I've ever read. I wish I knew what you were trying to do though, I feel the need to help... or try to, at least.

Lol, the awards don't faze me at all really, the only one I asked for was the rainbow heart thingy. You will have to try harder

How on earth are there so many rocking horse pandas?!? I love rocking horse pandas! OK, Andy, since you really want to know... ...I was trying to create a font to indicate sarcasm in a post where there are no aural cues. It was Lamson's idea once upon a time and took me about 4 months to try and fail...

Oooh, I like that idea! It'd certainly decrease my use of the 'winking' smiley... or maybe not, I've become pretty attached to the little guy.
I think that reverse italic thing works well, although there always seems to be a horizontal scroll bar beneath it for me.

Still haven't seen that yet, what browser/platform are you using? [/sar]

Still haven't seen that yet, what browser/platform are you using? [/sar] It happens in Firefox, Chrome and Safari on PC, but everything's fine in Safari on my iPad. Edit: Seems to be okay in Internet Explorer on PC. Is this what it's come to, I have to use IE to get maximum enjoyment from this forum? I'm not sure I can do that to myself.

Don't do that to yourself, you may as well throw your PC in the fire if you are going to do that. I hardly use my PC these days, I'm just stuck on the couch with the ipad, it's just too easy

Yes, there are issues... the mysterious scroll bar, the fact that it causes line breaks before and after the tag so it won't work in-line, it transforms smileys, doesn't work with the CODE tag... definite issues, but it is what it is!

You make a good point Dalton... especially since my transformed font dreams have gone kaput. You could always just force everybody to download the ' Arial Sarcastic' font, then you can just use the code: [font face="arial sarcastic"]Sarcastic[/font] post. Which shows this: Not really a solution, I know, but I've been trying to figure it out for a while now and it's bugging me, lol. It would be nice if you could just upload a font to ProBoards, but as far as I can see from messing with a test board, it doesn't seem to be possible. You can add them if it's a Google Font, apparently, but they don't seem to have a reverse italic font.
