Does anyone remember the first time they played tsto? I do. I was in the riviera hotel room waiting for my girlfriend to get ready. Which was taking forever. So I started looking for a game to play! This was September 2012 and I'm still here!

I downloaded while sick, quit playing for a couple of weeks.
Picked it up again when I had a series of long conference calls. This was a great time killer for those time killers.

In October 2012, I had recently upgraded to my first smartphone. My daughter and I were heading up to NYC on a bus, so I was checking out the App Store for a game to pass the time. I found TSTO, we both downloaded it, and have been playing ever since.

Was with my girlfriend, buying my first iPhone, and found the game while browsing the App Store. It was the beginning (and the ending) of lot of things.

I downloaded the game after it was on The Simpsons. I tried to get it to open a couple times, and when it did, it wanted me to build a house and I thought that was completely stupid. I'd never played a game on my phone before and didn't understand why anyone would want to.
Cut to Thanksgiving 2012 and my ex-wife coming to visit my daughter while staying at my house. I somehow found TSTO on my phone and began playing in earnest. "We're going to the mall, you wanna come?" Nope, playing this game. "We're going to see a movie, you wanna come?" Nope, playing my game. "We're going for dinner, you wanna come?" Nope, gotta figure out why I give a shit about these balloons in my game.
It worked out well for both of us. She got to spend a bunch of time with the kid and I got to learn why games are important: so we can avoid spending time with people who want to spend time with us. Valuable lesson that always needs reinforcement.

I was returning from my trip to Vermont. It was the first thing I did when I got home.

October 2012 during that first Halloween event - was in Cape Cod for a week with my husband's family and it helped pass the time during downtime and relaxing moments at the gorgeous rental house his folks paid for. Even now when I think of New England fall foliage and crisp autumn air, i can't help but think of and vandalizing neighbors with eggs and T.P.!

I only remember that it was during the Easter 2014 event where bunnies were squished. Later, I read that it was a bad event.

Late December 2012, I got an iPhone. I was actively avoiding studying for psych finals and somehow stumbled upon TSTO.
I stopped playing in February and just reinstalled TSTO in October 2015.

Found out about it on February 28th, 2012, just a few days before it came out in the USA. I've been playing since day 1.

This was sometime in the spring of 2012? My son was up visiting and he was playing some game on his iPad. I thought I could hear Homer's voice, so I asked him about it. He told me it was a new game about Homer rebuilding Springfield after he blew it up. He was really enjoying it and it looked like fun, so I downloaded it, too.
Little did I know.....

My answer's boring ... I was in my living room or bedroom. I thought it sounded interesting on the app store, and I was right.

Read about it on Wikisimpsons. Decided to get the game to help out with articles on the day it came out.
I gave up on making articles on it ages ago... lol

Late August 2012 for me. I was down in Maine on vacation.
Helping Homer rebuild Springfield seemed like a better plan than spending time with the in-laws.
Still does.

I keep track of Simpsons news when it comes out, so I knew this thing existed in 2012, but I didn't bother to give it a shot until August 2013, when Krustyland was happening (first downloaded out of boredom, basically). I took extended breaks from the game:
-after Christmas 2013 (when lag made my game basically unplayable) -Easter 2014 (when I'm sure we all needed to cool down) -Stonecutters 2014 (during the great 50-day event-less dry spell) -Halloween 2014, Phase 1 (when I couldn't log in, although just 12 days this time)
I've been more consistent with checking my town in 2015 with all the new events, regardless of their quality.

I would think it was Oct 2012. Do't remember where I saw it first, but it was right in the middle of the first Halloween event. I didn't complete the entire event, but I haven't missed one since...

I just obliterated my town for the first time and I felt a small part of me die. But hopefully rebuilding will help me get back into it, idk.
