Ummmm anyone know why I got banned? I was unable to get on for awhile....not like I post absurdities or anything...

So I ask a question and my thread gets deleted...I don't say anything for a month I get banned...what is going on with these forums lately? Is this going to get me another ban? I had a serious question earlier and never got my answer...I remember when this used to be a helpful place, people ask all sorts of random things I ask a question and it's gone....

And my ban was who knows...It said I was banned...I never post and if so it's merely random helpful thoughts...I mention how I am banned to someone and poof it goes away...probably because I should not have been in first place...

If i was you i would just pm Spiffshine (ie spiff) to ask what happened. Maybe it was a proboard glitch. She is pretty helpful in that way.

If i was you i would just pm Spiffshine (ie spiff) to ask what happened. Maybe it was a proboard glitch. She is pretty helpful in that way.

It would seem plausible if I had only one of my issues as a glitch but a ban that got removed once I noticed it with no explanation plus a post that had been viewed 30 times without a response disappears...it seems to me more then glitches, which is why I'm asking who knows if/when I'll get an answer though...

1) you asked a question to which the only answer is a topic not allowed on the forum. If you see game play by neighbors that makes no sense, you are not seeing someone playing by EA's terms.

2) if you were banned and then not banned, you are have an Internet access that does not assign permanent IP's. And someone using that IP did something to get that IP banned by Proboards. To the best of my knowledge you were not banned from the forum.

Okay, my thoughts are this then....I wish I had gotten an explanation when my thread was deleted, to at least explain what the issue was. That would alleviate any issues and questions, I sat here searching the forums attempting to find my post which only led to greater frustration. The question was asked because I thought I may have missed something along the way and just wanted to know what was going on....

Second...for the ban it was not just my computer or my phone it was both...maybe it was a crazy error, but once I started asking as to why I was banned to other members I was able to access the forums relatively quickly.

You were never banned, but it is possible that if you were attempting to use the forum from a mobile network that that IP was banned… that has happened to me before where a mobile IP was banned sue to spammers, and then I couldn't get to the forum from the Panera parking lot! If that happens to you, try going into airplane mode and then back out again to reset your IP.

As for your question being removed, I'm not sure what post you are referring to. If it had to do with hacking, that would explain why it is gone. You should have received a PM about it, but the staff here are only human. I can look into it further if you suspect foul play.

I call for this man to be banned with immediate effect! I can´t be wasting my time reading about someone complaining about being banned who is not in fact banned.

If he was banned then I could sympathise with his plight and join forces with him against the powers that be who think they can trample on our rights to free speech. I was halfway through writing my letter to Amnesty International when I found out that this was all just a great big misunderstanding...
