This grew from a little suggestion of "let's get together and determine the group members, guys!" to a big ol' post. Thanks to everyone who helped!IntroductionEach day during the Stonecutter's Event, Number 1 will prophesy four tasks. A member of a named group must complete the action to fulfill the prophecy and gain emblems. Tasks and groups are randomized, so we do not all get the same ones or the same groups.

Pattern of Number 1's tasksIt appears that the random task assignments aren't completely random and instead are randomized based on duration. Another list by tom7363: Explanation of time with these tasks and how to read the below, from Tom:
"The system for the task length seems a little bit complicated, there are two different 24h-windows.
The time in which all 4 tasks from Nr.1 must be solved is from 00:00-00:00 UTC

Miscellaneous-The desired task will show as an option only in the task lists of those who can perform it to fulfill Number 1's prophecy. -The reward for completing the first task of the day is 150 Emblems, second is 200 Emblems, third is 250 Emblems, and fourth is 400 Emblems. -If a character is sent on a Number 1 task before the task day resets, but the task is not completed before the reset, it will not count toward that day's tasks. Instead, it will be completed as the next day's first prophecy.

It appears that the random task assignments aren't completely random and instead are randomized based on duration. Another list by tom7363: 2014-06-08 8:00 4h 6h 4h 6h 2014-06-09 8:00 2h 1h 4h 1h This list makes no sense at all.. For me, it looked like the: 2014-06-08: 1h 4h 4h 6h 2014-06-09: 6h (still working on the first, so can't say how the others look, but I'll edit when I know) I can't comment on the days prior to this, as I didn't really notice the quests.. The 0800 is UTC, I presume. My parchment tasks also reset at 1000. I'm UTC+2. I have also noticed that my daily quests aren't resetting at local midnight since a few days ago. Perhaps this was to address the glitch where tasks weren't really showing between local midnight and UTC 0000. I don't stay up late enough to find out. I'll make a note on the midnight thing and clarify the parchment reset. |
