Looks like instead of Whacking Day, we'll be getting an Easter Event update. Similarly to what happened with Halloween 2013, a kindle user had a brief change to his splash screen, featuring Homer in a bunny suit. This happened during Halloween with Strongman Homer(also on Kindle) and turned out to be the same icon they'd use for that event, so I personally think this is legit. I hope we don't have to place hundreds of colored eggs in people's towns... That would be too much like WD... Followed by hatching eggs and releasing bunnies that need to be caught.  I wouldn't mind leaving eggs if it's like the Christmas presents. |

Whilst I'm not doubting the image however, any files downloaded in the Hotfixes were only text based files and not anything relating to the splash screen which would only be updated via an App Update. So unless the user who posted the screenshot updated the app it would seem strange how the splash screen would show up whilst loading the game.
It could of been a slight server glitch, but usually the game uses local files instead of remote files.
Just thought I'd chip before everyone goes crazy.
EDIT
After looking at the screenshot it looks like an app store image? Correct me if I'm wrong so it could be the app was signed off and accidentally uploaded the kindle app store which was then pulled?

For me it seems quite plausible, even for me more likely would be Tuesday (or better said i hope it). This screen somehow is something similar to this strange facebook messages that were out before Valentines event, Chrisp530 or brettolmsted : Do not remember exactly who of you posted this facebook thing around VD, but can you have a look at it next days. At least such an easter event would be really great reanimation of whacking day |

Completely on board for Easter over WD.
Got all my decos from that blasted event last year out today in "just in case" anticipation. Will leave them out in hopes of diverting whacking day altogether.

Neat find, and hooray that it's actually plausible. After spending an embarrassing amount of time yesterday being delighted by the antics of a pile of these adorable things  I am apparently in spring mode and ready to see bunnies hopping all over my Springfield. |
