as nice as that would be, I highly doubt it. I assume it was more of a advertising "cliffhanger" to entice people to watch the show

I would love that. It does make complete sense though he is the strange scientist as, while I have not read the synopsis for the show yet, I can just imagine "world domination" or just killing Bart through GMO's would be a great satire episode, and one that is so true.

I would love it too.
But at the moment is nothing in the game, that will be triggered tomorrow or monday.
Just saw now that the trigger for latest starting of tie-in tasks. permanent enabling of the new GMOPomatoes for those that didnt participate the tie-in quest and disabling buying of the falcon is tuesday.

Not sure why, i had in my mind some end date monday morning.
So lets wait what EA brings up next week.
