They can only get one, so you have to collect regularly
If they are on an indoor task, they will go outside the building and start the outdoor task that they can do closest to the building when you visit
Witch Marge can speed roses.
Glitches are over, you can only tap valentines

First 10, get 15 per town. = 150
Second set, get 12 = 120
Third set get 9 = 90
Fourth set get 6 = 60
The rest are 3 per town, or 180.

Other Info:

Brandine can do the "Give Birth" task 3 times, resulting in 3 children. It takes 90 days if you don't rush it(per child) or 30 donuts to rush each one (90 for all 3)

The kids pay out as follows. The longer you wait to tap them, the more they earn.

At 4 hours: $100
At 8 hours: $200
At 12 hours: $300
At 16 hours: $400
At 20 hours: $500


The Whale gives a 7% bonus(terrible value)
The I Choo Choo Choose You Train now gives a 2.25% bonus
The Cozy Hammock now gives a 2% bonus
The Valentine's Pond now gives a 0.75% bonus 

Characters with tasks that earn hearts:

Marge (Requires Homer)
Millhouse (Requires Lisa)

Once you place the Tunnel of Love in Krustyland, Marge can now go to Krustyland and earn tickets 

If you bought the Up, Up, and Buffet, the following characters have 10 hour tasks to eat there:

If I can't harvest roses & even get through Part 1, how the hell can I do any of the Valentine's tasks?

I think EA anticipated people could be growing corn, my crop finished automatically when I followed the in-game instructions to grow Valentine Roses. So you get the reward for the corn and the added bonus of actually playing the update

Thanks stebo884! I can't get into the game yet either, so I was worried I'd have to spend precious donuts to get rid of the damn corn.......so EA have been friendly & helpful? Well I never!

Hey Chrisp530, it looks like the grow roses task that starts it all is 24 hrs. I too had 12 initially but then when it reupdated itself it changed to 24, in line with the start of most events.

I believe it's in the files for Level 41 and costs 150 donuts.

It appears as though you can use Witch Marge to speed up the roses task multiple times. I just sent Marge for a 2nd round and it dropped my grow time to 10 hours. I will update you all later on tonight.

I have to edit that. It was originally 12 hours, they changed it at some point to 24 hours. Which is why so many people have been reporting two different numbers

Edit: Some people are still saying it's 12 hours for them, even though they downloaded tonight... I give up

Chrisp530, they may have changed this.

The number of valentines goes down 1 per every 10 towns.

First 10, get 15 per town. = 150

Looks like I visit 30 neighbors a day. More than twice the effort for the last 70 towns, for 2/3 the reward. Way to EA, giving us another reason not to visit.

That's what it looks like. So no one will see Brandine until close to Halloween or after depending when we send her for the first 90 days.
Have a kid, harvest corn. Guess that's going to be the plan.
