brettolmsted I'd prefer to pay a set price in donuts for old items like during Halloween than risks spending an indefinite amount or miss out. But its only right that we all have different ways. Things are more interesting. I am not against being able to pay a "set donut price" but what would be fun is to have the wheel where we could earn the prizes "free" by obtain spins OR we could just pay donuts for the items

Pull Up A Chair I hope you are right, sans wheel though, if EA brings back that abomination, it might be reason to quit - not just "resting" from the game like right now - but a complete GoodBye. I am sure I am in the minority, but I would not mind the wheel returning IF they fix the odds a bit better (and this is coming from someone who got all the wheel items fast in his main town, but his one side town took forever and only got it by spending a lot of donuts on the last day, while his wife's account missed one item). I think it should be for old items that people missed out on last year (like the Christmas lights for houses skins, or in this case for Shauna, Howard's Flowers, etc), with perhaps a few new items like Artie Zif's High Rise and replace a couple of spaces with Donuts for those who, like me, had like 75 spins by the end of the Christmas event The wheel was a horrible idea, and a lot of people did not get everything. If something like that monstrosity comes out again, then it should be: More even odds Where the pointer ends is prize you get No former premiums in it. If they want us to have them, put them up for doughnuts so those who previously paid don't fell ripped off. Only put previous years decorations in it. And once one of a kind stuff is gone, substitute a different "prize", not In game cash. If they are going to sell tokens, a method of doing something useful with extras should be implemented.

Like I said, I like the idea of the wheel, but it was just implemented badly - kind of like the "event that shall not be named" and EA did improved that with Halloween and Christmas events

Assuming you didn't rush, you could still finish. It required visiting friends, and TPing things was fun when visiting. Characters involved in quests were from all levels currently in the game, including the one that came out with the event/level up. It did not feel like a chore. Quests had endings. And after update that ended it, we got a message saying Homer went on a candy eating binge.

But I really hated that frickin' wheel. Let's not forget all the people who got "done" and never got to earn any extra spins. Ea already proved that they don't have a clue how to make it work. The funniest part was when they told people to post on Answer Headquarters to see if any fellow gamers could help them. Yeah maybe, if they had access to ea servers. Even the people posting there knew it was pointless.

I also really liked Whacking Day and, aside from the glitch that took away the whacking license, enjoyed it as they had the best prizes for the work (I just got burned out when they extended it).

I wouldn't mind the wheel brought back but I was one of the few who cleared it at 30k. My vote shouldn't count I would like to see previous released decorations like heart fountain, rose trellis, rose bush etc. My characters shall have the night off (just in case).

I wasn't around for the last event (started playing may 2013), so I really hope for the decorations to come back. I am so jealous when seeing them in other towns..... Oh and ofc I am hoping for Crazy Cat Lady

VD means Valentine update Day. Yes? Where did I mention that wheel? I'm confused... I think they should just allow us to buy the old VD stuff and I wish they would include Howard's Flowers in a quest line...

Pull Up A Chair, you didn't mention the abomination, it is my problem that I suspect EA'll sneak it back. Sorry I confused you, not surprising as I'm confused myself most of the time. A quest line for Howard's Flowers would be wonderful. Hope they listen to you.

I hope that we have quests in the ice cream parlor again. I really like the animation for that shop and was so bummed when I couldn't run it anymore.

The ONLY way this will be acceptable again is if the donut glitch comes with it. Bring on another glitched boatload or more.

Bah! Nothing wrong with the wheel OR WD. Good to work for stuff else it gets too easy. Which pretty much summed up Christmas 2013, done in < week for most of it. Makes the game boring as hell.

Well, another week to wait for Valentine but at least we'll be entertained with the small update and have time to design more Valentine cards. Holding my breath for a Valentine update is making me see pink.....

After getting purple and nearly passing out from holding my breath, I'm coming to the conclusion that waiting for EA to give us a Valentine update, or any update, any time soon, is I waste of time! So I'll go and get something to read in the Library......
