Guide to Recreating An Accurate Springfield

I know it's the goal of a few players to make their Springfield as much like the one in the show as possible, so I've been slowly putting together a guide to help.

I don't much like the map that is going around. I'm not sure where it got the information for such accuracy, and from what I can tell it's a lot of guess work.

My guide is essentially a collection of screengrabs from the show that depict exactly what the locations look like and try to give an impression of what else is nearby, with a bit of extra information and my own attempt pictured.

It's not finished yet, but a good number of buildings are included so far.

The best thing is that you can see that Springfield is ever changing, so you can still make a show accurate town that has a lot of your own creative spark included.

Most of the images appear to be broken (I'm through to part 4, and all of the "slideshow" table images are broken so far).

Otherwise it is well written and very nice to see. Well done.

Good guide! +1 . Though personally, I do not take ideas from the movie, it had so many inconsistencies with the past episodes, and the movie itself.

But truth be told there is no real official layout.

See, that is an interesting question about flexible reality - does the movie or the show opening really count as being in continuity, given the references seen there do not always apply in the show? What do you all think?

I like to use the opening as it's in every episode and has a good clear layout of the town square.
It is often contradicted in episodes though.
Particularly the school's location. In episodes it's usually opposite houses, but the opening has it just off town centre.

The movie is pretty bad as its not even consistent within itself!
