Add me - but you may find my town a little different. I have been playing since the Christmas cycle (so I am missing a lot of cool stuff, unfortunately), and I got my town about 3/4 built before I saw any other town except "Other Springfield." So, I started out to build a "real" town, with defined block sizes, zoning (residential, commercial), specific neighborhoods, and so forth. I don't think it's "creative" compared to other towns I have seen but it is neat, organized and I like it. Maybe you will too...

I've buckled. I was playing the game neighbour-free as I wanted to get my Springfield just right before letting others see it. But I only had a handful of hearts and I want more, dammit!

I accepted your add and visited your Springfield. Looks like you've got a good thing going on there. I really envy the amount of space you have around your houses. Some nice touches with the brown house complexes too. Keep up the good work

Thanks! My idea with the brown houses is to either have them as cabins near the mountains or make them part of a rougher area of town, around the nuclear power plant. I figure not many people would want to live next to a nuclear power plant, so that can be the the cheaper district. Just need the money to expand so I can make it into a real neighbourhood. Might dump some trash round there too...

Wanting to present the best Springfield was a big reason for why I waited so long as well (and getting hearts was the main reason I gave in) but it looks like you're off to a good start.  I'll be interested in seeing how you progress!
