Congrats to both winners! You both did a great job! +1 Would have liked to see the other entries and the points accrued as well just for my own curiosity. I have no patience for these types of things myself, but I do enjoy seeing what others have done... Yea they had the other entries up before I'd like to see them |

Here are all of the submissions we received for this Photo Challenge. Great work everyone! Scores will be sent to contestants and will not be posted here.  (Characters in costume in bold) Mayor Quimby decided to have a Halloween Festival at the Town Hall and invited all of Springfield to attend. The only condition for attending was you had to wear a costume. The festival would begin with a dinner at the Town Hall and then proceed out into the courtyard where there was a variety of attractions including a Haunted House, a tour of the Springfield Pet Cemetery, two spaceships, an ancient burial ground, and a stage for bands to perform on. There would also be a costume parade around the courtyard later in the night. Those attending included, Reverend Lovejoy who came dressed as a train conductor, Comic Book Guy as Captain Kirk, Chief Wiggum as his mother, Jasper as a lollipop kid, Rainer Wolfcastle as Richard Simmons, Superintendent Chalmers as a karate woman, squeaky voiced teen as a walking hamburger billboard, Moe as an old school gangster, Carl as a Viking Warrior, Professor Frink as a pilot with his own flying machine, and Agnes Skinner as a janitor. Mr. Smithers, dressed as a cowboy, was gracious enough to host tours of the Haunted Bad Dream House. Nelson as a hobo, Grandpa Simpson as a professional wrestler, Barney Gumble as Donald Trump, and Arnie Pye who came as a paparazzi with head camera and snazzy suit, were the next group headed in. Willie who came to the party as a bagpiper was going to take the stage to entertain everyone, but a drunken Krusty who was dressed as famous comedian Andrew Dice Clay, stumbled on stage to tell some bad jokes. Principal Skinner came as a school crossing guard with his date Selma, a Hula girl. Kang and Kodos had agreed to lend two spaceships for the event, but unfortunately Kodos, dressed as a hippie, crashed her spaceship just west of the cemetery. Kang, dressed as a barbarian overlord, was able to safely land his victorian UFO right in front of the Halloween T-Shirt and Mug vendors. Fat Tony, being the generous man that he is, held a raffle to give away a hot tub, with the condition being he get to use it first. Which was appropriate considering his bathing suit costume. Mr. Burns came as Fruit Batman, and spent the night in front of the House of Evil trying to convince people to come in and buy some cursed Fro-yo or an evil talking Krusty Doll. Hans Moleman is leaving the Krusty Burger to come join the festivities in his Police Officer costume. Most of the children of Springfield were there as well. Bart as frankenstein, Millhouse as an astronaut, Lisa as a witch, and Martin as a fairy. Mayor Quimby even built a Pumpkin House for the children to trick or treat at and get refreshments. The Flanders, Ned and his dead wife Ghost Maude were hosting a tour of the Pet Cemetery and the scary Mausoleums. Ned is dressed as the devil and Ghost Maude came as an evil flaming spirit. Finally, some residents were beginning to gather and lineup for the costume parade. Hank Scorpio and Tatum who came together as marathon runners, Homer as a Mayan dancer, Marge as a witch, Dr. Hibbert as Bill Cosby, Apu as an American Baseball fan, Abe Lincoln as a poorly dressed Hawaiian man, and Kent Brockman as Humphrey Bogart. Sideshow Mel desperately wanted to attend the Halloween festivities, and had the perfect costume picked out; an Opera Singer. In Mel's free time he greatly enjoyed showing off his beautiful singing voice. However, he didn't get too many chances to do so. Between work, and his wife and children, he simply didn't have the time or opportunities to display his talent, and he thought the Halloween Party would be his chance to show Springfield his talent. Mel asked his wife Barbara to clean and iron his only tuxedo prior to the event. As Barbara was ironing, she was distracted by Mel's sons bickering and left the iron on the tuxedo, burning and ruining it. Disappointed, but not deterred, Mel needed to find a costume quickly or he would not be able to attend. Being rather poor and having no other clothes in the house(evidenced by the fact he wears the same skirt every day), Mel looked around his house for anything he could use. The only thing he could find was a singe cannon that he used to practice his act for Krusty's show. Mel decided to get to the party before anyone else, set up the cannon, and remain inside for the whole party. Mel would occasionally poke his head out and sing. When Mayor Quimby asked him what he was supposed to be, Mel responded with "You see sir, I am a "singing Cannon" or if you will, Nick Cannon". (Get it, Singer/Cannon- Nick Cannon, yeah that was terrible)  We're having a party, you're in for a scare! It's a Halloween party, so dress up if you dare! Join us for the Annual Springfield Costume Party at the land of Nightmares & Dreamscapes.   Well we got a street party.. with his and her mausoleum wash rooms.. The pumpkin house serving.. what else pumpkin pie.. as long as homer left some Witch is inside waitng for the kids to come buy for candi... at least thats what she said. Maybe we should keep the kid in the pumpkin patch.. carving jack o laterens and watching for the Great Pumpkin The adult kids can hang out at a curiously mobile Mels place And fireworks after dark...... Barney the drunk plumber.. only a plumber has a crack like that.. shauna the duck wisperer kearny the irish dancer. Ms springfield.. quote "I need a costume?>>> never and wreck this beauty?" The twins.... saw the human statue. and copied it.. The champ.... Animal trainer... Booberella... doing her 10 century witch immitation.. The mayor.. Um.. pretending to be Robin Hood.. yah that right..Robin hood why else would i have this money Disco stu... what can i say.. Doing an 80's skate marathon. Lernny.. hes Edgar allan Poe Kang, Kodos... TWO eye Rigellien Side show Mel.. the entertainment. Only way hed come to the party Cletus.. Yuppin ims a vampire hunter.. just whittlin a stake Abe the beach bum HEEEEEYYYYYY guess what i am.... um a camera? "was i that obvious?" FatTony is Hugh Hefner... and whos gonna argue with him???? The residents of Springfield have got into the spirit of their haunted town and decided to have an outdoor Halloween party.
Skinner and Agnes have dressed up to provide the signing entertainment. Hans Moleman is dressed as a cop. Sideshow Mel is letting his hair down. Kent is a private eye. Lisa is a gymnast. Moe, Barney, Arnie and Wolcastle are gangsters in their suits. Burns is a superhero. Homer is a Mayan footballer. Smithers a whipping cowboy. Chalmers looking pretty. Lovejoy a train driver. Selma hula dancing, also joining in with the Hawaiian beach theme is Lincoln and Martin. Wiggum is in drag. Krusty has gone to the party as an exclamation mark. Maude has returned from the dead to haunt the party. Willie bare chested show off. Suzanne the witch as herself ( it's Halloween after all ). Marge as a witch making some alcoholic punch for everyone. Jasper recapturing his youth as dressing up as a young boy. Bart is the little Indian looking to shoot Smithers with his arrows. Booberella is burning at the stake for everyone's enjoyment. Kang and Kodos and chilling just trying not to be noticed. Grampa is checking his costume out. Carl is a Viking. Apu a true American. Hank Scorpio and Tatum as marathon runners and Dr. Hibbert is in his casual gear in public which is way out of character. Snake has decided his effort is going as Fonzie from Happy Days and combing his hair and wondering around saying "Aaaeeeyyy". The sea Captain has arrived as The Marlin Gunman from the depths of the sea. Comic book guy is in his Star Trek gear and Milehouse loved the idea and has gone to the party as a spaceman. Flanders as the Devil. Frink as a flying robot. Finally, poor Nelson couldn't afford much so has gathered up some old clothes and gone as a tramp. Buildings

Gremlins I almost forgot the submit this. I don't think I'll win, but what the hey.  Sideshow Mel is hosting the Halloween block party, singing a rendition of Monster Mash. Agnes, dressed to clean, decided to help sweep up the party. Chalmers, as a princess, can't help but check out her ass. Witch Marge, while making some porridge for the party, watches Lisa in her leotard practicing on the beam. Ghost Maude is going as a much scarier-looking ghost, but FrankenBart doesn't even notice her. Grampa, looking gorgeous, can't help but admire himself. Cowboy Smithers admires him too. Count Burns tried to suck Frink's blood, but got a mouthful of machinery oil instead. Lovejoy, as a train conductor, and Frink, as a mechanical bird, admire each other's machinery. Carl is honoring his Icelandic heritage by going as a viking. He's waiting for Lenny who's peeing by the trees. Kang tries to convince SVT that he's the Gilded Truffle's chef that night, not knowing that SVT wore the uniform for Halloween and isn't actually working. Barney and Moe decided to go to the party together as successful businessmen. Wiggum's a lovely lady who unknowingly caught the eye of cosplaying Comic Book Guy. Dr. Hibbert's going as what he hates most, a corporate sponsor. Wolfcastle and Brockman signed up to make public appearances, but otherwise want to remain unnoticed by their fans. Martin and Milhouse are trying to stay away as far as possible from Nelson, who's going around stealing kids' candy. Safety Skinner is making sure no one gets hurt on school property, as Homer and Patty are dressed and dancing to Willie on the pipes. Flanders is wearing a giant devil costume, complete with animated fire and smoke. Moleman just happens to be dressed as a security guard, but not actually working that night. Pye, not knowing this, decides to write an expose on Krusty Burger's poor hiring practices. Abe Lincoln is going as not-Abe-Lincoln. Kodos is going as not-an-alien. Scorpio is going as not-a-supervillain. Apu, ever the patriot, is congratulating a working-out Tatum on his latest victory over some non-American. Jasper was too lazy to buy a costume, so he purposely didn't take his medications and is going as a goat. The one character not in different clothing but I'd argue is in costume is Duffman. As this video shows, Duffman DOES wear normal clothing when not working. He just works a lot. So Barry Duffman is going as Duffman, Oh Yeah!  Welcome to Scary Eyes-Land where Springfield residents are holding their 24th annual Halloween party and costume contest. Lets have a look at what Springfield residents are dressing up this year. There are obvious costumes and then there are those with a more 'creative' explanation. The creative ones first: 1) Mr. Jailbird is obviously baffling many with his choice of costume as a prison fence. It chillingly presents the philosophical conundrum, is the man within the prison, or is the prison within the man? 2) Below him Edna Krabappel has decided on a controversial choice by dressing as a bush fire. That she has made her smoking habit part of the costume only reinforces the edgy, environmental message her choice invokes. 3) To their right Seymour Skinner is showing his science loving side with his costume as an ornithologists. 4) The most realistic costume by far, goes to Moe this year. How often has he tried suicide by hanging? And this year he has decided to use that to up the scariness factor in his costume as an extremely convincing skeleton hanging from the tree besides his tavern. Good going there Moe!...Uhm... Moe? You all right there? OMG! Moe! Is that his ghost hanging around the cemetery? Are you trying to tell us to bury your body? Go into the light, Moe! 5-7) Our first group costume are Patty, Selma and our very own Disco Stu. Together they have decided to dress up as popsicle stick statues. I have to say, I am very impressed by their ingenuity. Are they even able to move in those costumes? 8-11) The second group costume comes in the form of Fat Tony, Luigi, Willie and Otto who have formed a group of street musicians. Don't forget to leave a few dollars in their little basket. Hahaha. 12-13) Below them are Legs and Louie in their guise of mob muscle instead of the respectable businessmen they are *cough*. Just look how convincingly they are using the apple bobbing barrel as a prop. *gulp* 14) As a honest politician, Mayor Quimby is certainly setting tongues wagging with his costume as a bank robber running away with the loot. 15-17) Last but not least we have our group of three witches in the top left corner. Booberella dazzles with her costume as witch burning at the stake and bewitching Marge is stirring the cauldron of soup. But it is Suzanne that, as a modern Wicca, has made an especially bold choice in using the archetypal costume of a fairy tale witch to demonstrate the great development so called 'witches' have gone through during the last centuries. What? You thought Suzanne dressed like this outside of Halloween? Don't make me laugh.
