What events and expansions do you want in the next 12 months? Here are mine
The next 12 months will likely have 6 major events and expansions...
Christmas Update in December - Stocking Stuffers have been added around Springfield along with some Christmas (Not) favourites such as the Try n' Save owner and Jaqualine Bouvier. Unlike recent major events, they are back to the style of you having to TRADE IN your stocking stuffers, as an oppose to using them as a milestone system.
Spring Update in February - Marge decides its HER turn for an event dedicated to her, so her and Lisa decide to build the ULTIMATE GARDEN! Collect Flowers to build a garden... but that's not all! Homer thinks it's HIS JOB to own events, so you can also use the milestone system collecting 4-Leaf Clovers... community prizes return too!
Shelbyville Expansion - What lies past those mountains? Nothing other than Shelbyville! Another expansion!
Summer Event - It's summer vacation, and Bart doesn't wanna let it go to waste! Find tropical fruits and trade them in for Summer-y prizes, as well as a brand new character or two!
Indoor Expansion - Another MAJOR expansion! You can now decorate the INDOORS of some buildings, including Simpson House, Springfield Elementary, Kwik-E Mart, Krusty Burger, Flander's House, Comic Book Store and a few more! Maggie is a new character, as well as Jimbo, Manjula and Princess Penelope.
Halloween Event 2014 - Halloween... for the THIRD YEAR in a row? Candy is back, but you can send ghosts in other towns as well! But, there are a few BATTY surprises, and HUGO is a new character~
There will likely be some minor events as well..

Thanksgiving - Make the ultimate Thanksgiving Parade, and help Krusty make TURKEY BURGERS at Krusty Burger!
New Years - 14 Free donuts on New Years!
Valentines - Got brought down to a minor event, yes... but you can send your friends hearts to buy prizes... no quest tho, as it will happen DURING Spring 2014.
Yard Sale - This returns from 2013... meh!
HArvest Celebration - Help Cletus rise to fame, and get BRANDINE!

It'd be great if each Springfield would have a greeting message for visitors to see before dropping ghosts, vandalizing, etc. so we could tell visitors if we don't like graffiti or "haunt the place, but no more gremlins, "gone for a few days", etc. To comunicate, in game, with neighbors would be fun. This would improve the "social" aspect of the game, I think. It isn't a new idea either, other games have these features. EA could give us a "garage sale", once a year, where we could buy items no longer available; like the Cool House, Mayan Calendar, etc. I bet they made a few bucks from having last year's Halloween items available... I loved to have them available again and couldn't resist to buy most of them!  |

I personally would not want to have the indoors of buildings as a thing. If I wanted to play the sims I would play it.

May I theorize on what is coming?
Thanksgiving - Normally, this would be minor, but we may get more than we guess because of a unique real world event - Hannukah will be at the same time as Thanksgiving this year. If I were a betting man, we will get Hal Roach Apartments with Jaquline Bouvier and Temple Springfield with Rabbi Krustofski.
Christmas - Snow will be back, plus able to unlock holiday skins for new buildings. Decent money on getting Springfield Mall I'd say.
January - Please oh please, bring back Mr. Plow. Maybe Plow King too.
Valentine's Day - Great chance to get us more of Bart's crushes over the years.
St. Patrick's Day - Would not mind a tie in, but what? Dunno.
Whacking Day - It will be back, folks, like it or not. Just a question on what prizes and what form this year.
That should do for the foreseeable.

Now I just want valentines and chocolates... Mmmmm chocolate!
Can't wait for Christmas, however, I will be away then, so I'll probably miss out on some cool prizes. D'oh!

I like the way the OP says everything like collecting stuff for everything and 14 donuts for NYE. Why not 2014 free donuts? Nah.
I doubt they will have interiors, though Springfield mall would be good. My money is on noise land, crazy cat lady with a house and the leftorium. Would love to buy a 'Homermobile' for crazy money.
Well the fire station will be here soon and the roach apartments have been drawn up, but they look pretty average. More buildings like the retirement home, crabbapple, spinster and calm wood and I may as well go back to SIM City - Oh look, a new future Sim City....

We all know what's inside the houses and schools, so why do we need to decorate it? And none of the neighbors are going to spend time looking at your indoors when we could just take a portion of your money (during the normal season), or put ghosts in your house (for obs. Halloweenie), or whatever else they did for Thanksgiving and Christmas. And I hope they have a garage sale! But if they do, I still wouldn't want to spend money buying donuts on one item that costs 80+ doughnuts, only for them to just walk around. If they do the garage sale idea, they should lower down those prices. "IT'S JUST TOO DAMN HIGH!" And lastly for the Halloween candy, I hope we're able to get the ones from last years!
